        근골격계통증 관련요인이 건설업 근로자의 심리적 건강에 미치는 영향

        Objective: This study aims to investigate the impact of work environmental hazard factors and the presence of musculoskeletal pains on psychological occupational health issues such as overall fatigue, anxiety, and depression in construction industry. Background: Construction workers are exposed to musculoskeletal pains and psychological occupational health issues. Method: This study utilized the 6th Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS) data to select 834 construction site workers as research participants. Surveys were conducted to gather information on worker characteristics, exposure to hazard factors, musculoskeletal pains, and psychological occupational health issues. Results: Among construction site workers, 4.3% reported experiencing anxiety, 30.5% reported experiencing overall fatigue, and 48.2% reported experiencing depression. According to the results of the binary logistic regression analysis, it was found that working more than 53 hours per week, engaging in cold work for more than 2 hours, and manual heavy loads handling for more than 2 hours were factors overall fatigue. Tasks involving exposure to vapor for more than 2 hours and exposure to tobacco smoke for more than 4 hours were associated with higher levels of anxiety, while temporary employment was linked to higher levels of depression. This study also revealed that the presence of musculoskeletal pains significantly influenced overall fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Overall fatigue was 2.239 times more likely when reporting back pain, 3.561 times more likely when reporting upper limb pain, and 2.521 times more likely when reporting lower limb pain. Similarly, anxiety was 6.280 times more likely when reporting back pain and 9.964 times more likely when reporting lower limb pain. In the case of depression, reporting back pain was associated with a 1.625 times higher likelihood, and reporting upper limb pain was associated with a 1.457 times higher likelihood of experiencing depression. Conclusion: Exposure to hazard factors at the workplace and the presence of musculoskeletal pains were found to have an impact on psychological occupational health issues among construction industry workers, including overall fatigue anxiety, and depression. Application: The findings of this study suggest that the nature of work and the work environment in the construction industry are also associated with workers' psychological occupational health issues. Therefore, this highlights the need for comprehensive management and intervention strategies in the construction industry.

        Multiclass Method for the Determination of Anthelmintic and Antiprotozoal Drugs in Livestock Products by Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry

        The objective of this study was to establish a multi-residue quantitative method for the analysis of anthelmintic and antiprotozoal drugs in various livestock products (beef, pork, and chicken) using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. Each compound performed validation at three different levels i.e., 0.5, 1, and 2× the maximum residue limit according to the CODEX guidelines (CAC/GL 71- 2009). This study was conducted according to the modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe procedure. The matrix-matched calibrations gave correlation coefficients >0.98, and the obtained recoveries were in the range of 60.2%–119.9%, with coefficients of variation ≤32.0%. Furthermore, the detection and quantification limits of the method were in the ranges of 0.03–3.2 and 0.1–9.7 μg/kg, respectively. Moreover, a survey of residual anthelmintic and antiprotozoal drugs was also carried out in 30 samples of beef, pork, and chicken collected in Korea. Toltrazuril sulfone was detected in all three samples. Thus, our results indicated that the developed method is suitable for determining the anthelmintic and antiprotozoal drug contents in livestock products.

        건설업 근로자의 유해요인노출과 근골격계통증

        Objective: This study aims to systematically analyze the factors influencing subjective musculoskeletal pains by comprehensively considering the exposure duration of physical, biochemical, and ergonomic hazards among construction workers. Background: Construction workers are exposed to a variety of hazard factors, including not only chemical and biological hazards but also physical and ergonomic hazards. Method: The study analyzed survey data of 910 construction workers in South Korea from the 6th Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS) using binary logistic regression analysis, with worker characteristics and levels of exposure to hazard factors as independent variables and musculoskeletal pains, specifically back pain, upper limb pain, and lower limb pain as dependent variables. Results: The prevalence of upper limb pain complaints among workers was high at 43.5%, followed by 34.5% for back pain and 22.3% for lower limb pain. According to the results of binary logistic regression analysis, the worker characteristics influencing musculoskeletal pains were age, temporary employment status, and weekly working hours. Temporary employment status had an impact on all types of musculoskeletal pains, while increasing age was a factor for both back pain and upper limb pain. On the other hand, lower limb pain was influenced by weekly working hours. As for the hazard factors, exposure to ergonomic hazards such as manual heavy loads handling, awkward posture, and repetitive motion were found to affect the musculoskeletal pains. And among physical hazards, exposure to vibrations was identified as an influencing factor. The exposure to manual heavy loads handling affected all types of musculoskeletal pains, while the exposure to awkward posture affected back pain and lower limb pain. The exposure to repetitive motion affected lower limb pain and upper limb pain. In contrast, the exposure to vibration was associated with upper limb pain. Conclusion: Musculoskeletal pains among construction workers were influenced by ergonomic hazards such as exposures to manual heavy loads handling, awkward posture, and repetitive motion. Additionally, exposure to vibrations was found to affect upper limb pain. Application: This study can be applied to derive preventive policies by identifying the factors on musculoskeletal pains among construction workers through comprehensive consideration of hazard factors.

        Growth and Yield of Double Cropping Potatoes Produced Using Seed Tubers of Different Types and Sizes

        For stable cultivation in double cropping, it is important to use potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars with a short dormancy period of 50–70 days and plant seed tubers of appropriate type and size. An experiment was conducted during 2018 –2019 to investigate the effects of seed tuber type and size on growth and yield performance in double cropping. Whole tubers of three sizes (10–20 g, 30–40 g, and 50–60 g) and conventional cut tubers weighing 30–40 g from three cultivars with different dormancy periods, namely ‘Daeji’ (40–60 days), ‘Eunsun’ (50–60 days), and ‘Saebong’ (50–80 days), were planted, and their field performance was compared. Regardless of the cultivar, the increase in the whole tuber weight up to 30–40 g led to fast emergence, thereby increasing ground cover rate, shoot growth rate, and tuber growth rate, which ultimately improved tuber yield by 33–54%. Comparing the whole and cut tubers, ‘Daeji’ and ‘Eunsun’ showed similar growth and yield performance; as such, the performance of whole tubers weighing 10–20 g was comparable to that of cut tubers weighing 30–40 g. However, ‘Saebong’, a cultivar with relatively long dormancy period, performed better with cut tuber than with whole tubers. Based on these results, we recommend the use of whole tubers weighing over 30 g for double cropping. Further studies to break tuber dormancy are warranted in cultivars with relatively long dormancy periods (50–80 days), such as ‘Saebong’.

        The purpose of this study is provide to the basic architectural data of area distribution of spa-facility in korea. 3 Spa that located in chonnam have a spa-facility over 3,000㎡ and, each proportions of area were analyzed through a actual survey and analysis of drawing. Spa-Facility is divided into the clothing section(CS) and the bathing section(BS). The clothing section(CS) is also classified the guest section(GS), the employee section(ES) and the bathing section(BS) is classified the interior of a bathing section(IS), the exterior bathing section(ES). The following is concluded through a actual survey and analysis of drawing. CS 42.5%, BS 57.5%, GS 37.2%, ES 5.2%, IS 47.6%, ES 9.9%.

        황화수소가 섬유아세포의 생존과 교원질 겔의 수축에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: To investigate the role of hydrogen sulfide in the survival and collagen gel contraction of cultured human Tenon’s capsule fibroblasts (HTCFs). Methods: Primarily cultured HTCFs were exposed to 0, 100, 200, or 300 μM hydrogen sulfide (sodium hydrogen sulfide, NaHS) for 2 days. Cellular survival was assessed by MTT (3-[4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. Degree of apoptosis was assessed with flow cytometry using annexin-V/propidium iodide double staining. To evaluate the effect of NaHS on cellular transdifferentiation, HTCFs were stimulated with 5 ng/mL TGF-β1 and the level of expression of α-smooth muscle actin (SMA) mRNA was assessed using reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction. The cells were embedded in collagen gel, and the amount of gel contraction was measured. Results: NaHS at 300 μM reduced HTCF survival (p = 0.013); NaHS at both 200 and 300 μM increased apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner (p = 0.013 and p = 0.016). TGF-β1 increased the expression of α-SMA mRNA (p = 0.041); co-treatment with 100 μM NaHS decreased TGF-β1-induced α-SMA mRNA expression (p = 0.039) and inhibited collagen gel contraction. Conclusions: NaHS at high concentration reduced cellular survival and increased HTCF apoptosis. NaHS decreased TGF-β 1-induced increases in α-SMA mRNA expression and collagen gel contraction. Thus, hydrogen sulfide may suppress scar formation by inhibiting HTCF transdifferentiation and contraction of collagen gels. 목적: 황화수소가 배양된 인체 테논낭 섬유아세포의 생존과 콜라겐 겔의 수축에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 일차배양한 섬유아세포에 0, 100, 200, 300 μM 황화수소(Sodium hydrogen sulfide, NaHS)에 이틀간 노출시켜 MTT (3-[4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay를 이용하여 세포의 생존을 측정하였고, annexin-V/propidium iodide 이중염색 후 유세포 분석을 이용하여 세포고사의 정도를 측정하였다. 전환 분화에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 5 ng/mL TGF-β1으로 자극한 후 α-smooth muscle actin (SMA) mRNA의 발현을 reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction로 조사하였으며 섬유아세포를 교원질 겔 내에 봉입하여 수축성검사를 시행하였다. 결과: 300 μM NaHS는 섬유아세포의 생존을 감소시켰으며(p=0.013), 200 μM과 300 μM NaHS는 세포고사를 유의하게 증가시켰다(p<0.05). TGF-β1은 섬유아세포에서 α-SMA mRNA의 발현을 증가시켰으며(p=0.041), 100 μM NaHS에 동시에 노출시킨 경우 α-SMA mRNA의 발현이 감소하였고(p=0.039), 교원질 겔의 수축을 억제하였다. 결론: 황화수소는 고농도에서 섬유아세포의 생존을 감소시키며 세포고사를 유발하였다. 황화수소는 TGF-β1에 의한 α-SMA mRNA의 발현을 감소시켰으며 교원질 겔의 수축을 억제하였다. 따라서 황화수소는 섬유아세포의 생존에는 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 섬유아세포의 전환 분화를 억제하여 반흔형성을 감소시키는 작용을 나타낼 것으로 생각된다.
