이규제의 논의는 다음과 같은 세가지 관점에서 시도된다. 첫째 논의하고자 하는 기간과 대상은 1945년에서 현금까지의 한국교육학계이고 둘째 논의의 내용은 교육학의 과학화에 주력해온 연구성과의 공과를 분석하고, 셋째 교육사의 분야사로서 동양교육사의 연구현황을 반성비판하므로써 동양교육사 연구의 현황을 직시하고 앞으로의 과제를 모색전망하고자한다. 그러기 위해서 현금 한국교육학의 구조적 특성을 지적하고 동양문화권에서 한국과 인도관계를 역사적으로 고찰하며 한국교육사상 이상적인 교육이 실현되었던 시대와 그 시대배경을 분석하여 현분교육과 교육학이 추구하여 나아갈 방향과 과제가 무엇인가를 지적하여 제시하고 미래를 전망하고자 한다.

Ths study of Buddhism has been generally concentrated on the dogmatics of Buddhism, the study of Buddhist sects, and the dogmatics of Zen Buddhism, and the study of the history or documentary records of Buddhism has been folloewd. I could find that the definition of religion of religion from Buddhist point of view was different from the concept of religion defined as a translated "religion" into English. The concept of religion in Chinese characters originally doesn't premise only the relation between God and human being. It explains not only the view of universe and human being but the recognizing problem of truth with human ones. It also suggests that the religion ultimately can be humanics and pedagogy that are trying to find what ideal human being should be. Buddha is convinced of educational humanics that he can make mankind, who have potential buddha nature, perceive and attain Buddha nature even if they are confused in temporary illusion. I think that I can try educational approach about Buddha's conviction on educational human being. Educational philosophy can be divided into the research activity and conviction of education. The ascerticism of Buddha was an educational prusuit of human being and his sermon was an educational conviction of human being. Buddha's conviction of education is that human being can attain Buddhahood by the instruction of teacher and the role of teacher is to awake mankind to the potential Buddha nature. It can be said that such a conviction is a difference from modern education, but modern education can take educational suggestion from Buddhism. Educational aim of Buddhism is to apprehend the moderate prajana through perceiving Buddha-nature by himself, to practice an ethic activity of moderation that doesn't cling to existence or non-existence, and to accomplish entering Nirvana from ascertic life caused by illusion. To accomplish its own aim, educational philosophy of Buddhism regards kamarelation as important, which gives modern education another suggestion. We can find important educational meaning through the approach on educational philosophy of Buddhism. I, there fore, conclude that we can study lot of educational aspects from educational philosophy of Buddhism.
