회양목명나방(Glyphodes perspectalis) 유충은 6 령기를 거치며, 두부는 검고 광택이 있으며, 몸은 황녹색이었다. 유충기간은 평균 24일이었다. 알은 납작하고 둥근 모양으로 잎에 포개진 형태로 산란되었으며 처음에는 투명하였으나, 시간이 지나면서 유백색으로 변하였다. 번데기는 처음에는 연녹색을 띄었으나, 시간이 지나면서 흑갈색으로 변하였고, 번데기기간은 평균 10.5일이었다. 성충은 1년에 2회 발생하였으며, 1화기 성충은 6월초부터 6월말까지 출현하였으며, 2화기 성충의 우화시기는 8월 중순부터 9월초까지였다. Ecological Characteristic of Glyphodes perspectalis was investigated in laboratory and field condition. Larvae of Glyphodes perspectalis had 6 instars, and color of head and body was black and yellowish green, respectively. Larval periods were 24 days. Egg was flat and round. Color of egg was transparent at an early stage, and became milky later. Color of pupa was yellowish green and became dark brown later. Pupal periods were 10.5 days. Adult of Glyphodes perspectalis emerged twice a year. First emergency was from early June to late June, and second from middle August to early September.
한국분리산 PRV-Ba를 이용한 가토 안구지배신경의 추적 연구

Until now peudorabies virus(PRV) has been used a neurotracer, because of it's properties of retrograde & anterograde transport. But it's anterograde transfort is not perfect, so we tested the applicability of the Bartha strain of PRV(PRV-Ba) isolated from South Korea as a neurotracer in the visual system. We performed immunohistochemical study of the rabbit brain after intravitreal injection of the PRV-Ba. After given survival time(24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 144hrs), the brain was removed and processed immunohistochemical stain for PRV-Ba. The strong PRV immunoreactivity(PRV-ir) were almost oberserved contralaterally in oculomotor neurons, fro example Edinger-Westphal nucleus, trigerminal nucleus of pons and peritrigerminal zone but locus of innervating sensitive neurons. The latter were weak positive and selective. PRV-Ba immunoreactive neurons were stained strongly in nucleus compared to cytoplasm. This study suggests that PRV-Ba isolated from South Korea is also a useful neurotracer in the motor innervated system like other PRV-strain.

잎침지법을 이용하여 후추 열매 메탄올 추출물 및 분리된 화합물들의 배추좀나방(Plutellaxylostella) 유충에 대한 살충 활성을 검정하였다. 후추 열매 메탄올 추출물은 배추좀나방 유충에 대해 5.0과 2.5 mg/mL 농도에서 각각 100%와 97%의 살충 활성을 보였다. 후추 열매에서 유래된 화합물들의 배추좀나방에 대한 살충 활성을 조사한 결과, guineensine ($LC_{50}$=0.013 mg/mL)의 살충 활성이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 retrofractamide A (0.020 mg/mL), pipercide (0.033 mg/mL) 그리고 pellitorine (0.046 mg/mL) 순이었다. Piperine의 반수치사농도는 0.5 mg/mL 이상이었다. The larvicidal activities of Piper nigrum fruit methanol extracts and its constituents against larvae of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella, were investigated using the leaf dipping method. Administering the P. nigrum methanol extract resulted in 100 and 97% mortality against diamondback moth larvae at 5.0 and 2.5 mg/mL concentrations, respectively. Larvicidal activities of the P. nigrum fruit-derived piperidine alkaloids, piperine, and N-isobutylamide, as well as pellitorine, guineensine, pipercide, and retrofractamide A against P. xylostella varied according to test compound. Based on the 48 h $LC_{50}$ values, the most toxic compound to diamondback moth larvae was guineensine (0.013 mg/mL) followed by retrofractamide A (0.020mg/mL), pipercide (0.033mg/mL), and pellitorine (0.046 mg/mL). The $LC_{50}$ value of piperine was >0.5 mg/mL.
감마선 조사에 의한 발생과정 중인 마우스의 소뇌발달에 관한 연구

In order to study about the lobule and layer formation and cell migration of the mouse cerebellum from at the birth to 15th day effected by 2.5, 5 and 10 Gy r-raddiation at the 19th pregnancy. The routine tissue preparation and staining procedure, Immunohistochemical staining method by the several antibody and western brotting method were utilized from the birth to the15th day. The results were as followings. 1. The body and cerebellum weights were more slowly increase of the the 2.5 Gy, 5 Gy and 10 Gy irradiation group compare to the control group, and the health condition of the 2.5 Gy group was a little bad. but the 10 Gy group was more severe and begun to die from the 12th day after birth. 2. The thickness, proliferation and migration of the 2.5, 5 and 10 Gy irradiated external granular cells from the maginal zone to the medullary area forming the molecular layer from the 6th day to the 15th day after birth were thinner, weaker and more slower according to the radiated dosages than the control group in the cresyl violet staining. 3. The proliteration, migration and lobulation of the 5 Gy radiated groups from the first day to the 15th day after birth were more weak, incomplete and irregular shape in the immunostaining with Dab, Cdk5, P35, calbindin and Zebrin antibody. 4. In the western blotting analysis using the Reelin, Dab, Cdk5 and P35 antibody. The Bands were in the 60 KD, 80 KD, 33 KD and 35 KD, and there were no differences between the control and irradiated groups in the molecular band except the Reelin. 5. As a results, the proliferation and migration of the outer granular and purkinje cells, and lobulation of the cerebellum by the several dosaege of the ${\gamma}$-ray radiation were proportionally incomplete according to dosage.

The locus coeruleus(LG) is known to be observed a sexual dimorphism in rat CNS. LC is the largest collections of norepinephrine(NE)-containing neurons in the mammalian brain. Especially in rat, all LC neurons contained NE unlike other mammalians, so that specific reactions were found in the tyrosine-hydroxylase(TH) immunoreactive neurons. Sexual dimorphism of rat LC has affected by genes before sex hormone appeared, thereafter affected by sex hormones. In these day, many scientists founded morphological differences between male and female LC morphology, but differences of entire structure was not founded. Thus we investigated sex differences of the LC neuron's morphology in rat by three-dimensional(3-D) reconstruction using Confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM). We reported that neuron's shape was relatively-large multipolar neurons and neuron's processes in dorsal LC proceeded to ventral direction in the male and female rat. Male had a longer anterior-posterior length than female had in dorsal LC. In addition to middle-LC, male rat's LC had a more thicker posterior region but had not viewed in a previous study. In reverse, female rat's LC had a thicker anterior region like a previous study. This results using 3-D reconstruction by CLSM showed that the male's LC was more wide-ranging than female's relatively.
