서구에 있어서 근대민주주의 혁명은 지방분권적이었던 봉건체제를 무너뜨리고, 일원적 권력통합을 이룩한 전제군주국가에 대한 반란에서 비롯되었다. 그것은 경제면에 있어서의 산업혁명과 병행하였는데 이러한 역사발전을 저초한 사상원리는 다같이 합리주의 와 개인주의였다. 개인주의와 합리주의는 고도의 자본주의 경제와 함께 대중민주주의의 정치체제를 탄생시켰다. 자본주의는 근 2세기 동안에 상공업의 비약적인 발전을 가져왔으며, 그것을 바탕으로한 근대국가는 개인의 자유로운 활동과 경쟁이 「보이지 않는 손」에 의해서 가장 합리적인 조화로 인도된다는 낙관론으로 가득차 있었다. 자유주의와 공리주의는 무한의 가능성을 나타내는 것 같았고, 「항상옳으며 항상 공공이익만을 추구하는 일반의사」 (J. J. Rousseau)에 의해 대의민주정치는 크게 성공하는 것처럼 보였다.

벤처캐피탈의 스타트업 투자전략 영향요인에 관한 연구 : 벤처캐피탈의 업력 및 재무적 특성을 중심으로

본 연구는 벤처캐피탈의 재무적 특성인 업력, 자산, 자본금, 영업수익, 영업이익 등을 측정하 여 이러한 특성이 벤처캐피탈의 투자전략에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였다. 중소기 업창업투자회사 전자공시(DIVA, Disclosure Information of Venture Capital Analysis)항목 중 2016년 정기공시를 기반으로 수집, 측정하여 통계적 실증분석을 수행하였으며, 연구 결과를 요 약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초기기업 투자액을 종속변수로 한 다중회귀분석 결과 독립변수들 중 업력과 자산은 부(-)의 값으로 자본금과 영업수익, 영업이익은 정(+)의 값으로 나타났으며, 통계 적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 독립변수로는 자본금과 영업이익으로 나타났다. 이는 벤처캐피탈 의 자본금과 영업이익이 많을수록 초기기업 투자액이 높을 것으로 예상할 수 있으며, 이러한 확 률의 크기는 자본금과 영업이익의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 초기기업 투자건수를 종속변수 로 한 다중회귀분석 결과 독립변수 중 업력과 자산은 부(-)의 값으로 자본금과 영업수익, 영업 이익은 정(+)의 값으로 나타났다. 그러나 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 독립변수로는 자본 금 항목만이 있다. 이는 벤처캐피탈의 자본금이 많을수록 초기기업에 대한 투자건수가 높을 것 으로 예상할 수 있다. 이상과 같이 다중회귀분석을 통합적으로 살펴보면 벤처캐피탈의 자본금이 초기기업 투자액과 투자건수에 유의한 영향을 공통적으로 미치고 업력, 자산, 영업수익은 유의 한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. This study aims to measure observable characteristics of a venture capital, such as age, asset, capital, operating revenue, and operating income to verify how they influence the investment strategy of start-ups. Data was collected and measured based on the 2016 report of the Disclosure Information of Venture Capital Analysis(DIVA) and statistical positive analysis was conducted. The result of the research can be summarized as follows: First, multiple regression analysis with initial investment amount as a dependent variable revealed that age and asset, out of the independent variables, have negative(-) values while capital, operating revenue, and operating income have positive(+) values. Capital and operating income, among variable, proved to have statistically significant influences. This finding indicates as a venture capital company has more capital and operating income, it is more likely to have bigger initial investment, with capital having more effect than operating income. Second, multiple regression analysis with the number of initial investment as a dependent variable revealed that age and asset, out of the independent variables, have negative(-) values while capital, operating revenue, and operating income have positive(+) values. However, only capital showed having a statistically significant influence. This indicates a venture capital is more likely to have more cases of initial investment as it has more capital. Overall, the result of multiple regression analysis showed that the capital of a venture capital company influences significantly the amount and cases of initial investment while age, asset, or operating revenues do not.
