In recent years SO2 pollution concentration has been reaching the point of serious consequences in major cities in our country, and it is greatly serious in Seoul as compared with other cities. Seasonal concentrations of SO₂, TSP, NOx, O₃, and CO pollutants for Ganghwamun is Seoul are highest in winter and lowest in summer, but for the case of HC, highest in winter. Considering the air pollution at the each station, the concentrations of CO, HC, and TSP are exhibited greatly, and similar to the results of percent of observations exceeding the allowance standards at each station in various countries. Owing to the severe air pollution long-term schedule for environmental protection should be necessarily achieved by synthesization, realization, and continuation. On the basis of short-term and long-term viewpoints environmental policies in Korea are desirable that positive and negative control policies are used together.

In this paper, path loss and delay profile characteristics are measured in the subway platform. To evaluate the fading characteristics of the measured signals, the standard deviations are computed. The standard deviation is bigger for shorter distance. The shorter the distance, the bigger the phase difference between direct wave and reflected waves according the distance, which results in heavy fading. To compute the path loss according to distance, the average values of path loss exponent(n) is evaluated. The path loss exponents measured in the subway environment for Omni-VP(omni-directional vertical polarization) antenna and CP(circular polarization) antenna are 1.418 and 1.680, respectively, which are considerably less than 2.0, the free space path loss exponent.

A Single phase induction motor is the predominant fractional horsepower power rated, extensively used in domestic and industrial applications. For example, these motors provide the motive power to washing machines, fans, refrigerators, etc. In this paper, single phase induction motor input current was detected by a small current transformer and determined TRIAC gate signal by using op-amp analog circuit. The soft-start strategy is based on limited auxiliary current angle during starting period in the closed-loop control. The Simulation and experimental result show the motor's starting and are compared with centrifugal switch starting motor.
