The thorium and uranium concentrations of four marine sediment reference materials (CRMs NIST 1646a, NRCC HISS-1, MESS-3 and PACS-2) were determined using isotope dilution-multiple collector-inductively coupled plasmas-mass spectrometry (ID-MC-ICP-MS), aiming at helping the assessment of reliability in dose rate estimation for luminescence dating. Quintuplicate analyses of the CRMs revealed their intrinsic heterogeneity in the concentration of both elements (up to 23% and 8% for thorium and uranium, respectively, in 2s standard error level) for individual sub-samples of about 100 mg. The thorium and uranium concentrations of all CRMs determined in this study were significantly lower (up to 45%) than the provided or reported informative values, requiring reevaluation of their reference concentrations. The use of informative thorium and uranium concentrations in these CRMs as standard values for elemental analysis of unknown samples will result in overestimated dose rates, and thus age underestimation when applied to luminescence dating techniques.

Shibusawa Eichi, known as the father of capitalism in Japan had a great influence on Japanese modernization. He worked to improve the blind spots that were marginalized in Japanese society including children, welfare, and women as well as Japanese economy. He also dedicated himself to the international community. In 1926 and 1927, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition, his image will be featured on the new 10,000 yen bill from 2024. Throughout his whole life, he was the one who put his nation and people first, emphasizing right principles and morality. He always insisted on the so-called "moral and economic unity" in which morality and economy must be balanced like a cartwheel. In the book『The analects of Confucius and abacus』, he stressed that "wealth" should be built on the right principles and morality, and the wealth would be sustainable for long. 『The analects of Confucius and abacus』 is a both moral and economic text, but there are many success stories that can help people succeed in life. This research is a process of theoretically establishing and examining various themes on success that he speaks in one place. I hope that his philosophy in 『The analects of Confucius and Abacus』 will be an opportunity to build a consensus among many people through this study.

Carboxymethylation of recycled pulp was investigated. For both recycled pulp and dissolving pulp was carboxymethylated by the organic solvent method and tested some industrial analyses, water solubles content, low concentration of NaCl solution solubles and acid hydrolysis. The water solubles content depend on degree of substitution, and low concentration of NaCl did not affected solubilities of the CMC. Prehydrolysis of CM groups prior to reaction with Lcystein, we can obtain the residual unsubstitued anhydroglucose(USAG). The lower amount of USAG in recycled pulp, compared to theorecal data, was suggested that the recycled pulp should obtain the more CM group in the same conditions.

스트레스와 도박 문제의 관계 : 여가활동과 행복경험의 조절효과

The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is correlation between stress and the gambling problem and also explore whether leisure activity and happiness experience regulate the process. To attain the goal, the researcher designs a model in which leisure activity and happiness experience regulate stress (interpersonal relationship, work) and the gambling problem (behavior frequency, addiction) separately and verifies it by using data about 485 adults residing in Gangwon Province. According to the result of hierarchical regression analysis, in some of the measured values, leisure level and happiness experience have been found be regulate correlation between interpersonal relationship stress, gambling behavior, and the gambling problem. When their leisure level is higher, the effect of interpersonal relationship stress increasing gambling behavior frequency becomes lower, and when their happiness level is higher, the effect of interpersonal relationship stress increasing the gambling problem becomes lower. This result implies that leisure activity and happiness experience work as factors to protect adults from the gambling problem. The findings gained by this research have been discussed from the perspective of utility in the area of health psychology. 본 연구에서는 스트레스가 도박 문제와 관련이 있는지 살피고 그 과정을 여가활동 및 행복경험이 조절하는지 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 여가활동 및 행복경험이 각각 스트레스(대인관계, 직장)와 도박 문제(행위빈도, 중독)를 조절하는 모형을 설정하고, 강원지역에 거주하는 성인 485명의 자료를 활용하여 이를 검증하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 일부 측정치에서 여가수준과 행복경험은 대인관계 스트레스와 도박행동 및 도박문제 사이를 조절하는 것으로 나타났는데, 여가수준이 높을수록 대인관계 스트레스가 도박행동빈도를 증가시키는 효과가 더 작아지는 것으로 나타났고, 행복수준 또한 높을수록 대인관계 스트레스가 도박문제를 증가시키는 효과가 더 작아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여가활동과 행복경험이 성인들을 도박문제로부터 보호하는 기능을 할 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 건강심리 분야의 활용 측면에서 논의하였다.
