        사물통신은 다양한 네트워크와 기기가 결합하여 복합적인 서비스를 제공하는 미래의 통신망 기술로 복합적인 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 센서 시스템들 사이에 표준화된 정보 교환 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 정보통신기술을 이용한 재난방재시스템에 관한 산업간 융합, 재난정보통신에 필요한 요소기술 및 응용에 대하여 연구 한다. M2M(Machine to Machine) Platform is the future ubiquitous network technologies which provide the integrated service with the networks and devices. The promising technologies to tackle these problems are the Semantic technologies, for interoperability, and the Agent technologies for management of complex systems. In this paper the information communication technique based on the disaster prevention system’s for the M2M, concepts and its requirement technology and application are studied.

      • 무선 이동통신에서 하이브리드 기법을 채용하는 DS/CDMA의 성능 분석

        본 논문에서는 무선 이동통신에서 일어날 수 있는 페이딩 현상에 대해 무선 페이딩과 다중접속간섭이 함께 존재하는 간섭 환경에서, DS/CDMA 시스템의 성능을 개선시키는 방안을 제안한다. 무선채널환경에서 페이딩에 위한 시스템의 성능 저하를 극복하기 위하여 하이브리드 성능 개선 기법을 채용하였다. 해석 결과, 제안 시스템은 하이브리드 성능기법을 채용함으로서 시스템의 성능이 개선되었고, 무선 페이딩과 다중접속 간섭이 동시에 존재하는 환경에서 하이브리드 기법을 적용하여야 시스템의 성능이 만족함을 알 수 있었다.

        인구의 증가와, 도시의 거대화, 교통의 발달 이상기후 등으로 인한 재해 재난이 급증하고 있으며 피해규모도 점차 확대되고 있다. 자연재해나 인위적 재난은 발생자체를 막을 수는 없으나 인위적 재난일 경우에는 IT기술이 발전함에 따라 재해를 미리 예방 및 완화할 수 있는 센서 기술 및 모니터링기술에 의해서 사전에 감지하여 피해정도를 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 방재정보통신시스템 응용 및 표준화 동향에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. Disasters are increasing rapidly due to increase of population, gigantism of cities, advancement of traffics, and abnormal weather phenomena, and the scale of damages is also getting wider. Natural disasters and artificial disasters are almost unavoidable, but in the case of artificial disasters, we can decrease damage levels using constantly developing IT technology, such as sensing and monitoring technology which can be used for preventing and mitigating disasters. In this paper, we study the disaster prevention information communication system's application and standardization trend.

        Phonetic grounding of position and height asymmetries in hiatus resolution: An acoustic analysis of Korean VV sequences

        This paper deals with two typological patterns in hiatus resolution, position and height asymmetries, from the perspective of phonetics and phonology interface. In languages where hiatus is disfavored in the output, the weakening of a vowel is more likely to take place in V1 and high vowels than V2 and non-high vowels, respectively. Assuming that these typological asymmetries are rooted in the acoustic and auditory mechanisms of human speech (Ohala 1993), I conducted an acoustic analysis of Korean VV sequences, which were recorded by six Korean speakers in two different speech rates. The results showed that the steady state of V1 is shorter than that of V2 in CV1V2 words but not in CVCV words. High vowels turned out to have shorter steady states than non-high vowels and the proportional difference increased in fast speech. These results suggest that the typological patterns are not only morphologically motivated (e.g., Casali 1996) but phonetically grounded.

        Segmental OCP in Manchu syllables

        This paper investigates the OCP effect in Manchu syllables: two consonants with identical place of articulation tend not to appear in the onset and coda positions of a syllable. By presenting O/E values and their statistic analysis that are based on the data in Yurn (1994), I show that the OCP-place actually exists as a phonotactic constraint in Manchu and that [son] and [cont] features are parasitic on the place features. I argue that the (near) absence of CiVCi syllables is perceptually oriented (Ohala 1993), which is evidenced by the fact that CiVCi syllables tend to be perceived as CiVCj syllables but not vice versa (Frisch et al. 2004, Coetzee 2005). I also argue that the OCP effect is rarely phonologized as a morphophonological constraint (or rule) because it does not have articulatory grounding. In contrast, vowel harmony is articulatory driven and perceptually motivated so plays a role in the derivation, as well as in the lexicon.

        Performance Analysis of Reed-Solomon Coded M-ary FSK Modulation in Nakagami Fading Channels

        In this paper we analyze the performance improvement of the M-ary FSK systems for low power and low data rate applications. This contribution presents a unified analysis of its MRC diversity, uncoded and performance in A WGN, m=2, m=3, Rayleigh and one sided Gaussian fading channels using optimum noncoherent demodulation with Reed-Solomon(RS) codes. The results of this paper should be useful as benchmarks of obtainable performance and as a reference for validating the results of simulation studies when slow fading models are applicable. 본 논문에서는 낮은 전력과 낮은 데이터 율의 M-ary FSK 시스템의 응용하고 성능 개선에 관해서 분석한다. 제안 시스템에서는 최대비 합성 다이버시티, 부호화와 비 부호화 일 때 가우시안 잡음, m=2, m=3, 레일리, 반가우신안 페이딩 채널에서 리드솔로몬 부호화를 이용하여 최적의 변조 값을 구하였다 . 시뮬레이션 분석 결과로부터 슬로우 페이딩 모델에 응용이 적당함과 웅용시스템에 유용함을 확인하였다.

        Acoustic Correlates of English Stress in Korean L2 Learners’ Perception

This study reports on the acoustic correlates of English stress in Korean L2 learners’ perception. As L1 phonetics and phonology exert an influence on L2 perception, we conducted a perception experiment to answer the question of which acoustic cues play a role in the perception of English stress by Korean speakers. Additionally, on the basis of the previous studies showing that Korean L2 learners would be able to acquire a native-like pitch contrast in producing English stress but not the other phonetic correlates such as duration and intensity, we examine the question of whether errors in L2 production are attributed to errors in L2 perception. The results showed that Korean L2 listeners are most sensitive to pitch, while they are not attentive to intensity or duration much when judging the locus of English stress, which is distinct from what native L1 listeners showed in our experiment. We argue that Korean listeners rely on pitch more than other acoustic cues in English stress perception, due to L1 transfer - pitch being the most reliable cue for accentual phrase and/or word segmentation in Korean. Also, this finding suggests that Korean learners’ production errors should be ascribed to their deafness to the contrast of such acoustic features.

        Segmental and suprasegmental effects on Korean listeners’ English stress perception

        English stress is realized by suprasegmental features such as duration, pitch, and intensity as well as by vowel quality. It has been known that native speakers of English are more attentive to vowel reduction than to suprasegmental cues because it offers considerable processing advantages (Fear et al. 1995, Cutler 2015). However, it has been shown that this is challenging for L2 learners of English, who depend on suprasegmental features in their production (Hammond 1986, Lee et al. 2006). Assuming that this difficulty is ascribed to their misperception, we examined how Korean listeners perceive English stress by modulating vowels at the segmental and the suprasegmental levels. Consistent with previous studies (Chung 2016a, 2016b, Kang & Kim 2016), Korean listeners relied heavily on pitch, but were also sensitive to vowel reduction, whose effect was stronger in the high proficiency group. For English native listeners, vowel reduction was the most reliable cue, but those who have been exposed to Korean accents for long time did not exploit vowel reduction for stress placement. The results suggest that phonetic/phonological patterns at the segmental level are more easily acquired than those at the suprasegmental level (Saito 2018).
