The purpose of this study is to analyze the system of accounts of the gross regional domestic product(GRDP) in Korea. Data users strongly request GRDP data, however, only 6 city and provincial governments currently provide the GRDP of SiGunGu. This is due to lack of specialists who can practice the work as well as of responsible government agency. Methodology of GRDP is almost the same as the manual of the system of national accounts. GRDP of SiGunGue is more difficult to aggregate than GDP because the small regions require details in basic data. Although GRDP of SiDo are supplied already by the local government level from 1985 by the National Statistical Office, but GRDP of SiGunGu is not supplied yet except 117 SiGunGu.Statistical system of local governments - organization, manpower and budget etc. - should be reformed to meet the statistical demands. At the same time, the relevant the organization should be enlarged to meet the increasing demand for GRDP statistics and the increasing additional works. At the same time people should recognize the importance of the data and also the needs of cooperation at the work.
