        Casting specimens of portal system in lives were made by injection of vinylite into the portal veins in 10 adult dogs. Every point at which the branches to each lobe take off were determined to be measured from the branched point of portal vein in order to perform the analysis on the characteristic values the rectangular and polar coordinates were introduced, and results obtained were summerized as follows: 1. In X-Axis, the points at which the branch to right anterior lobe and lateral inferior branch of left anterior lobe take off are located most laterally. 2. In Y-Axis, every branch is located more anteriorly than portal vein and the branch to right anterior lobe and internal interior branch of left anterior lobe are located most apically. 3. In Z-Axis, the branch to right posterior lobe and lateral inferior branch of left anterior lobe are located upper than portal branch. 4. The branch to right anterior lobe in right side and external inferior branch of left anterior lobe in left side have the longest compound vectors to each branched point. 5. Every branched points is scattered within the limits in which the direction angles range from 194.06 degree to 351.69 degree. 6. Every branched points is scattered within the limits in which the zenith angle of the branch to right anterior lobe is 97.08 degree in right side and that of left side is -112.32 degree.

      • 鑄型標本에 依한 氣管枝의 計測學的 硏究

        This study was aimed to observe specific difference of bronchial tree, by three dimensional measurement of the casting specimens. Casting specimens of bronchial tree were made by injection of artificially synthetized resin of vinylite into bronchial trees in 11 infant corpses, 10 adult dogs and 20 adult rabbits. Casting specimens of bronchial trees were dimensionally measured by introducing three dimensional coordlnates using special measuring apparatus which was davised by author and characteristic values of each branched point on bronchial tree were obtained. Performing the discriminant analysis on the characteristic values, the zenith angles and the declinations, which are the polar coordinates components of the branched points of bronchial tree of three animals, differences between those examined were found. And results obtained were summarized as follows: 1.The distribution of branched point of bronchial tree was common in various animal species. 2.The perpendicular components of L_2 and L_3 branched point of the left lung of the dog, located above the tracheal bifurcation on the rectangular coordinate. L_2 means the point of the left apicoposterior segmental bronchus from which the superior and inferior segmental bronchus branches off, and L_3 the point of the left lower lobe bronchus from which the lateral basal and posterior basal segmental bronchi take off. 3.In discriminant analysis on the zenith angles there was significant discrimination between animal species, man-dog, man-rabbit, and dog-rabbit in both left and right lung. 4.In discriminant analysis on the declination, only the left lung of man-dog group showed significant discrimation.

        We measured the respective weights of brain, eye balls, lung, liver, heart and kidney of full 18-day chick embryo that incubated from the egg of white Leghorn species under a certain conditions of temperature and humidity. And applied a correlation coefficient of normal weights, that of relative weights of these and dismissal ellipticity. The results observed are summarized as follwos: 1. In the measured values of each organs, variation is great in lung and liver, however a little in brain and eye ball. 2. In the correlation coefficient between normal weights, the relation of body-brain, body-lung, body-liver, body-heart, brain-eye ball, brain-lung, brain-liver, brain-kidney, liver-kidney and heart-kidney is significant respectively in less than oneper cent of critical level. (P<0.01) 3. In the correlation coefficient of relative weight, the relations of brain-eye ball, brain-lung, brain-liver, brain-heart, brain-kidney, eye ball-lung, eye ball-liver, eye ball-heart, eye ball-kidney, lung-liver, lung-kidney, liver-kidney and heart-kidney also each other is significant in less than one per cent of critical level. (P<0.01) 4. By dismissal ellipsis. Eccentricity is 0.7456 in brain-eye ball, 0.7090 in lung-kidney, 0.8259 in heart-kidney. Dismissal ellipticity is the longest ellipse in heart-kidney with 99 per cent: Brain-eye ball is the same as lung-kidney with 95% of dismissal ellipsity.

      • 韓人 幼兒 肺內脈管의 鑄型標本에 依한 解剖學的 硏究

        The author injected vinylite into the pulmonary vessels of 53 cases of Korean children to make cast specimens. The specimens were classified by the number of branches, originations, shapes, directions and interrelationship between branches and the data thus obtained were analyzed statistically and dominant and variant types were observed. 1. Right pulmonary artery branched into superior, middle and inferior lobe. The types of branches in each lobe, 6 types in middle lobe and 4 ?? 2. Right superior pulmonary vein branched into superior and middle lobe, and right inferior pulmonary vein into inferior lobe. The types of branches in each lobe were as follows, 16 types in superior lobe, 7 types in middle lobe and 9 types in inferior lobe. 3. Left pulmonary artery branched into superior and inferior lobe. 9 types of branches were observed in each lobe. 4. Left superior pulmonary vein branched into superior lobe and left inferior pulmonary vein into inferior lobe. 10 and 4 types of branches were observed respectively.
