抗癌劑 Nitrogen Mustard가 唾液腺에 미치는 影響에 關한 實驗的 硏究

The author studied the effects of Nitrogen Mustard to the rabbit s salivary gland. Twenty one rabbits were used. The experimental rabbits were given an intramuscular injection of Endoxan as nitrogen mustard derivatives 50mg. per 1.5-1.8Kg. of body weight. In order to investigate salivary gland activities, the author meausured the time how much time to require to collect the 4 CC. mixed saliva from the rabbits. After then they were sacrificed on 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 14 days after injection of Endoxan and made preparation for histopathologic findings. The results were drawn as follows: 1. Salivation activities were decreased by injection of Endoxan as nitrogen mustard. 2. The nitrogen mustard initially caused salivary gland to have a mild degenerative change, but after all became recovery. 3. Decrease of saliva and body weight, and dropping body temperature were initially followed from first day to fourteenth day after injection of nitrogen mustard.
