        오리엔탈나리의 球根 收穫時期와 低溫處理 期間이 生育에 미치는 影響

        This study was carried out to determine the effect of the duration of chilling treatment and the lifting time of bulbs on growth of Lilium Oriental hybrids for product of cut flower in the type of forcing or semiforcing culture in Korea. "Casablanca", "Acapulco" and "Le Reve" in lilium Oriental hybrids were used in these experiment and carried out from 1999 to 2000 in Iksan, Korea. The bulbs for experiment were lifted on August 27, September 27 and October 27 and the all of them were chilled at 5±1℃ for 0,8,10,12 weeks. Development of the bulbs lifted on October 27 was superior than that of lifted bulbs on August 27 in the three cultivars. The bulbs lilted lately and chilled for a long time were sprouted more earlier and grown faster. In order to increase bulb sprouting until 100%, the duration of chilling treatment of bulbs was need for 12 weeks on August 27, 10 weeks on September 27 and above 8 weeks on October 27. The flowering according to the duration of chilling treatment and the lifting time of bulbs was same above. Consequently, the bulbs should be chilled at 5±1℃ for chilled for 10 weeks at late September and 8 weeks in producted bulbs at late October in earlyㆍMidseason variety fur product of cut flower hut bulbs of late variety should be chilled for 12 weeks at late September and 10 weeks at late October.

        산성강하물이 지표수의 산성화에 미치는 영향 Ⅰ : 현장 조사 A Field Study

        산성강하물이 단기간에 걸쳐 지표수의 산성화에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 1995년 6월부터 10월까지 외부오염원이 거의 없는 강원도 춘천시에 위치한 저수지를 선정하여 연구를 수행하였다. 연구지역 일대의 지질을 조사하고 산골짜기에서 저수지로 흐르는 작고 얕은 하천의 수질을 분석하였다. 강우량은 우량계를 이용하여 측정하였고 강하물은 자동포집기를 이용하여 포집하였다. 연구기간동안의 강우의 pH범위는 3.81∼5.77로 평균 4.8을 나타내었으며 전기전도도 (EC)는 5∼189μS/㎝로 평균 10.6μS/㎝를 나타냈다. 음이온 중에서는 SO^2-_4의 강하량이 3,119.7 ㎏/㎦로 가장 많앗고, 양이온 중에서는 NH^4+가 1,053.2 ㎏/㎦로 가장 많았다. 지표수의 pH는 중성 또는 약염기성으로 강우의 pH가 산성이었음에도 지표수의 산성화 현상은 관찰되지 않았다. 그러나 골짜기에서 흐르는 하천수를 측정할 때마다 측정지점의 고도가 낮아질 수록 pH 값은 증가하는 경향을 나타내어 물이 하류로 흘러가는 동안에 일어난 산성 또는 염기성물질로 인한 산염기반응의 영향을 보여주었다. 이 결과는 토양의 완충능력과 모암내에서의 중화능력을 각각 구별하여 조사할 필요성을 제시하였다. During the study period, rain pH was in the range of 3.81∼5.77 with an average of 4.8. The EC was in the range of 5∼189μS/㎝ with an average of 10.6μS/㎝. Ionic composition of the rainfall showed that, of the anions, deposition of SO^2-_4 was highest with 3,119.7 ㎏/㎦, and it was NH^4+ with 1,053.2 ㎏/㎦ for cations. The surface water pHs were maintained neutral or weak basic, representing little evidence of acidification regardless of the acidic rainfall pH. Every time of sampling, however, the pHs exhibited increasing tendency as elevation of measuring site of the stream became lowered, which indicated the impacts of acid-base reactions by acidic or basic substances during travel of water downstream. This result suggested the necessity of further research to determine the respective buffering capacity of soil and underlying rocks.

      • 임신중 알코올 섭취에 의한 기형 유발기전에 관한 연구

        임신중에 만성적으로 음주한 산모의 태아는 중추신경계 손상으로 인한 특징적인 이상증상인 소두증 정신발육장애 등 태아 알코을 증후군(fetal alcoho3 syndrome, F,LSB이 나타나는 것으로 알려져 있으냐 분자생물학적 측면에서의 유발기전은 명확하게 밝혀져 있지 않다. 든 연구예서는 in vitro 단기 발생독성시험법 중 하나인 전배자배양댑을 사용하여 랫드 배자의 )1관 발생기에 알코을 및 알코올의 주 군사 체인 아세트알데히드를 처리하여 기형 유발 여부를 관찰하였다. 또한 이들 물질의 기형 유발 기전을 규명하고자 microarray 깡법으로 발현이 변화되는 유전자를 검색하였으며, 알코을 처리로 발현이 변후 되는 유전자의 정확한 확인을 위하여 northern blot analysis 실시 중이다. 임신 9.5일의 랫드 배자에 0.1, 0.5, 1.0% 에란올을 처리하였을 때 성장부진, 뒤틀리거나 꼬렬라진 꼬리, open caudal neura tube, open neural tube, 불완전찬 반전, 불규칙적이고 비정상적인 체절과 짧은 꼬리 등의 이상이 나티났다. 임신 9.5일의 랫드 배자에 Sr10-4, 8.3×10-4, 2.SxIO-3% 아세트알데히드를 처리시 래antois caudal neura3 tube의 발달저해, somite 수 감소, 꺽인 꼬리 등의 이상이 나타났다. Control과 에탄을 처리한 배자로부터 total RNA를 추출하고 poll· A--RNA를 분리한 후, reverse transcriptase를 사용하여 C?3 혹은 Cl·5 형광염료로 tag된 nucleotide로 표지된 probe를 만들어 등량을 시판중인 'toxicotogy chip'의 틴991개의 CDNA 형태의 유전자와 hybr겨iaation시켰다. 에탄을 처리에 의해 'serum deprivation response' gene등의 발현이 유도되었으며, 'rat transcription factor MaflmRNA'등의 발현은 저해되었다. It is reported that alcohol drinking by pregnant mothers often leads to abnormal fetal development including fetal alcohol syndrome(FAS) in both humans and experimental animals. The FAS is characterized by prenatal and postnatal growth retardation, distinct craniofacial dysmorphology, and central nervous system dysfunctions such as mental retardation. However, molecular mechanisms for FAS is not completely elucidated as yet. In this study, developmental toxicity of ethanol and its metabolite, acetaldehyde were evaluated using whole embryo culture. In addition genes inducing FAS were investigated by the technique of cDNA microarray. Embryos treated with ethanol showed growth retardation, abnormal tail torsion, open neural tube, open caudal neural tube and abnormal somite at concentrations of 0.1∼0.5%. Also embryos treated with acetaldehyde showed growth retardation including allantois, open caudal neural tube, reduction number of somite and abnormal tail torsion at concertrations of 5×10^(-4)∼2.5×10^(-3)%. RNAs from embryos of control and ethanol treatment were reverse transcribed into cDNA tagged with Cy3 or Cy5 and hybridized with cDNA probe of rat in 'toxicology chip'. Ethanol 0.5% treatment resulted in alteration in expression of several genes including 'serum deprivation response', 'Cide-b' and 'check point suppressor 1'. Northern blot analysis is conducted for identification of genes related to FAS.

        대장암 주변에서 관찰되는 백색반점의 병리조직학적 특성과 임상적 의의

        Background/Aims: To investigate the difference between colorectal adenocarcinomas with white spots (foamy cells) and those without white spots, clinically and histopathologically, were examined 37 cases of colorectal adenocarcinomas were classified in this study. Methods: Two groups: those with white spots and those without. In each case, evidence of lymph node and liver metastasis was sought. Immunoreactive staining for macrophage was performed. Results: Increased incidence of exophytic tumors was found (73%, p=0.028) in the group with white spots. The incidences of lymph node metastasis were 33% vs. 45% between the group with white spots and the group of without, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: These results suggested that foamy cells might have a beneficial role in colorectal cancer, although they were not statistically significant. Therefore, further prospective study be warranted.

      • 콩에서 발생하는 강낭콩일반모자이크바이러스(BCMV)와 땅콩위축바이러스(PSV)의 저항성 평가

        It has been reported several viral diseases in soybean. The occurrence of Bean common mosaic virus and Peanut stunt virus are able to induce severe problem because the main breeding target for viral disease was focused on Soybean mosaic virus. BCMV is a spcies of the genus Potyvirus of the family Potyviridae. BCMV reduces yield by as much as 80% and also adversely affects seed quality in common bean. BCMV has a worldwide distribution because of its high rates 35% of transmission via seeds produced by plants systemically infected prior to bloom. PSV is a species of the genus Cucumovirus of the family Bromoviridae. PSV has been reported to be economically damaging on beans worldwide. Although the virus is reportedly seed transmissible at very low rates, infected plants rarely produce pods with normal viable seeds. The most satisfactory management method of viral diseases such as BCMV and PSV is the use of resistant cultivars and healthy seed. For the overcome of genetic resistance by new virus such as BCMV and PSV, virus diseases monitoring and researches need to study deeply and continually. In this study, we conducted the resistance screen on BCMV and PSV for selection of resistance cultivars. We inoculated on 128 cultivars with PSV and BCMV respectively. These cultivars were classified through pathogenic response such as resistance, necrosis and susceptibility. In addition, 99 and 66 resistant cultivars were confirmed against PSV and BCMV respectively.

      • 신경인성 방광 1례에 대한 임상고찰

        From January 10th 2002 to February 17th 2002, the clinical study was carried out I case of patient in trouble with voiding difficulty such as urinary incontinence, enuresis and urinary frequency after the L₄-L_(5) HN P operation, who had been hospitalised in the Dept. of Internal Medicin e, Cheon-An Oriental Medical Hospital, Daejeon University. The results were as following 1. For this case, we could get the better result using Bo-Joong-lk-Gi-Tang(補中益氣湯) in the treating period. 2. We could get the effective result that the case of voiding difficulty after HNP operation and cerebral infarction by conservative therapy of oriental medicine such as acupuncture, moxibustion and herb medicine.

      • RT-LAMP를 이용한 콩황화일반모자이크바이러스의 진단

        Soybean yellow common mosaic virus (SYCMV) has been recently reported, it has been occurred a lot with Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and Soybean yellow mottle mosaic virus (SYMMV) in soybean field. SYCMV belongs to genus of Sobemovirus and induced viral symptoms with yellowing, mottle and mosaic. A reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) method allowed one-step detection of gene amplification by simple procedure and needed only a simple incubator for isothermal template. This RT-LAMP method allowed direct detection of RNA from virus-infected plants without thermal cycling and gel electrophoresis. In this study, we designed RT-LAMP primers named SYCML-F3/B3/FIP/BIP from coat protein gene sequence of SYCMV. After the reaction of RTLAMP, products were identified by electrophoresis and with the detective fluorescent dye, SYBR Green I. under daylight and UV light. Optimal reaction condition was at 63 for 60min and the primers of RTLAMP showed the specificity for only SYCMV tested in this study.

        VDT작업별 정신사회적 스트레스와 근골격계 장애에 관한 연구

        It has been hypothesized that jobs that have both high psychological demands and low decision latitude("job strain") can lead to musculoskeletal disorder. The objective of this study was to test whether job strain was correlated with the presence of work-related musculoskeletal disorder, especially myofascial pain syndrome(MPS). Information on demographic factors, confounders such as household load and taking care of children or not, and scores for decision latitude, job demand, and social support was obtained by self-administered questionnaire, which had been developed in Korean language, by adopting NIOSH instrument and Extended Karasek Model(16 items). All subjects were also examined by rehabilitation medicine specialists for musculoskeletal disorders. Subjects(n=370) could be categorized into 4 groups, these were, housewives(n=89), shipyard CAD workers(n=89), general female workers(n=79; nurses, insurance counselors, public officials, clerks, etc), and telephone directory assistance operators(n=113). Results from univariate analyses indicated that all demographic factors, all confounders, scores for decision latitude and social support were not associated with the risk of musculoskeletal disorder. However, score for job demand was higher in musculoskeletal disorder cases than others. In subgroup analysis, this association was convinced again, in telephone directory assistance operators. Job strain model showed that the group of telephone directory assistance operators was high-stain group, and OR of musculo skeletal disorder was 2.446(95% C. I. : 1.174, 5.096), when comparing this with the low strain group. In conclusion, job strain is a risk factor for work-related musculoskeletal disorder.

        12주간의 유산소운동과 통근수단 전환이 비만 중년 남성의 신체구성과 혈중 지질에 미치는 영향

        The study was designed to investigate the effects of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise and change of commuting mode to public transportation on body composition and blood lipid profiles in middle-aged obese men. Forty subjects, aged 30-50 yrs, whose BMI was higher than 25 kg · m-2, were randomly assigned to one of three groups, i.e., aerobic exercise training group(AT; n=13), change of commuting mode group(CCM; n=14), and control group(CON; n=13). Subjects in the AT participated in aerobic exercise program, peformed at 40-75% of HRR, 15-35 min/session, 3 sessions/wk for 12 weeks, and subjects in the CCM changed the commuting mode from their own vehicle to public transportation 5 day/wk, 10 times/wk for 12 weeks. Subject in the CON were asked to maintain their normal life patterns during the same intervention period. Variables regarding body composition and blood lipid profiles were measured in pre-test and post-test, and the results were compared among three groups and between two tests. Main results of the present study were as follows: l) Walking amount increased significantly in only CCM as treated. 2) Body weight, waist circumference, waist-hip ratio, body mass index, body fat, and fat mass decrease significantly in the AT, while body weight, body mass index, body fat, and fat mass decreased significantly in the CCM (P〈.05), 3) LDL-C decreased significantly in the AT(P〈.01) and the CCM(P〈.05). It was concluded that 12 weeks of change of commuting mode to public transportation as well as aerobic exercise would be beneficial for improving variables regarding body composition and blood lipid profiles. Increment of physical activity by changing to public transportation from their own vehicle would be helpful to prevent obesity and dyslipidemia.
