        Oral Administration of Novel Oriental Medicine, KIOM-C, Protect against Influenza Virus

        The influenza virus is an important respiratory risk affecting humans, and effective treatments are needed. Some oriental medicines are currently applied for treatment of common colds as well as influenza infection. Previous studies have reported that the therapeutic properties of MA-128 are effective for treatment of psoriasis antiasthmatic and atopic dermatitis. In this study, we investigated the therapeutic properties of the novel herbal medicine, MA-128, for treatment of influenza virus infection by oral administration. MA-128 is an active natural biological compound from herbal-marine origin. The results showed that oral administration of MA-128 in mice could confer a survival benefit against Type A influenza virus infection. Daily oral administration of MA- 128 resulted in delayed death in infected mice for three days against mouse adapted H3N2 (A/Philippines/2/82). However, it protected more than 60% of mice from lethal infection of 2009 pandemic H1N1 (A/Korea/CJ01/2009) influenza virus. In addition, lung viral titers were significantly reduced at seven days post infection (~100 times) compared with mock-treated mice and viruses were cleared at 9 dpi only in the MA-128 treated groups. This study demonstrated the potential of the novel herbal medicine, MA-128, as an herbal remedy against influenza A viruses.

        Design and research of high misalignment tolerant magnetic couplers for dynamic wireless charging systems

        This paper proposes a main-auxiliary cooperative receiving coil (MA-coil) with a lower space occupation rate and a simple control based on the time-sharing working principle, which can effectively improve the anti-misalignment capability of a dynamic wireless charging (DWC) system. First, the structure and circuit topology of the MA-coil are designed. The two auxiliary coils (A-coil) are connected in reverse series and symmetrically placed on both sides of the main coil (M-coil). Second, the output performance of the MA-coil in the y-direction is calculated based on the time-sharing working principle. The A-coil works by itself and enhances the output power when side shift occurs. Third, the most suitable ratio of coil width w M and w A is determined. The anti-misalignment performance and the effective side shift range are compared through simulation between the MA-coil in this case and the square coil. Finally, an experimental prototype is built to verify the feasibility of the proposed structure, and experimental results obtained from the prototype are basically consistent with the theoretical analysis. The anti-misalignment capability of the MA-coil is more than 20% higher than that of the square coil.

      • Double-Deck Inverse Opal Photoanodes: Efficient Light Absorption and Charge Separation in Heterojunction

        <P>For the first time, double-deck WO<SUB>3</SUB>/BiVO<SUB>4</SUB> inverse opal photoanodes (DDIO-WO<SUB>3</SUB>/BiVO<SUB>4</SUB>) were prepared by swelling–shrinking mediated polystyrene template synthetic routes, and the use of the photoanodes in photoelectrochemical cells under simulated solar light was investigated. The double-deck photoanodes represented the compact interface between WO<SUB>3</SUB> and BiVO<SUB>4</SUB>, inheriting the periodically ordered macroporous nanostructure. More significantly, the DDIO-WO<SUB>3</SUB>/BiVO<SUB>4</SUB> inverse opal photoanodes prepared from the optimized fabrication condition demonstrated a photocurrent that was ∼40 times higher than that of the pure inverse opal WO<SUB>3</SUB> photoanodes at a bias of 1.23 V vs RHE. Even without an added catalyst, they produce an outstanding photocurrent density of ∼3.3 mA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> at a bias of 1.23 V vs RHE, which profits from improving the poor charge carrier mobility of BiVO<SUB>4</SUB> by combining it with a WO<SUB>3</SUB> skeleton and a shrouded bilayer inverse opal structure with a large surface area and good contact with the electrolyte.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/cmatex/2014/cmatex.2014.26.issue-19/cm502073d/production/images/medium/cm-2014-02073d_0008.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/cm502073d'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

        최근 몇 년간 유비쿼터스 서비스를 구현하기 위한 핵심 기술 중 하나인 무선 센서 네트워크에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 무선 센서 네트워크 기술은 물류, 유통, 환경 감시, 홈오토메이션, 군사 분야 등 다양한 분야에 적용 될 수 있기 때문에 앞으로 관련 분야의 시장 또한 커질 것으로 예상되고 있다 [1]. 무선 센서 네트워크는 기존 유선 센서 네트워크나 무선 네트워크 환경과는 많은 차이를 가진다. 우선 극도로 제한된 시스템 자원만을 가질 수 있으며, 열악한 환경 속에서 무선매체를 통해 유기적으로 동작하여야 하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 적게는 수십 개에서 많게는 수백, 수천 개의 자율적인 하드웨어 노드들로 구성되는 무선 센서 네트워크에서 제한된 자원을 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서는 센서 노드에 적합한 운영체제가 필수적으로 요구된다. 지난 몇 년간 센서 노드하드웨어의 발달과 더불어 많은 센서 네트워크용 초소형 운영체제가 개발되어왔다. 현재 많이 알려져 있는 센서 네트워크용 OS로는, 가장 활발한 참여를 보이고 있는 TinyOS[3]부터 SOS[4], MANTIS[5], Contiki[6], T-kernel[7] 등이 있으며, 국내 기술로 개발된 Nano-Qplus[8] 등이 존재한다. 본고에서는 우선 센서 네트워크에 대한 배경 지식과 플랫폼 등에 대한 내용을 간단히 다루고, 본론에서 센서 네트워크용 운영체제가 가져야 할 조건과 현재 개발되어 있는 센서 네트워크 OS들의 특징에 대해 간략히 살펴보도록 하겠다. 또한 센서 네트워크 OS와 밀접한 연관성을 가지는 분야에 대해 간단히 살펴보고, 마지막으로 앞으로의 방향에 대해 알아본다.고려해 볼 때 atlas의 장축의 시계방향 회전은 액티베이터의 사용 효과로 생각되며, 이는 차후 II급 부정교합자에서 액티베이터 치료 효과를 판단하는 또 하나의 지표가 될 수 있다고 생각한다.인해 한반도를 포함한 동아시아 대륙이 태평양판 쪽으로 밀려감으로써 섭입하던 태평양판의 각도가 급해져 동아시아 연변에 강력한 흡입력이 발생하였으며, 이 때문에 태평양판의 운동 방향이 북북서에서 서북서방향으로 회전되었을 가능성이 있다. 따라서 약 51 Ma부터 한반도 동남부에는 지판 경계의 강력한 흡입력으로 동서 내지 서북서-동남동의 인장력이 작동되어 B그룹 암맥군이 관입한 것으로 해석된다.Ledge는 세 군 모두에서 나타나지 않았다. 4. 파일 binding 횟수는 MC군이 가장 적고 PT군이 가장 많았다 (p < 0.05). 이상의 결과를 볼 때, Mtwo 전동 파일을 crown-down technique으로 사용하는 것이 single length technique과 유사한 성형 효율을 보이면서도 더 안전할 것으로 추정된다.고 1명(3%)에서 원격전이를 보였다. 치료 중 급성 합병증으로 11명(37%)에서 RTOG grade 1-2의 장염을 보였으며 1명은 대장의 천공이 발생하여 수술로 치유되었다. 12명(40%)에서 RTOG grade 1-2의 급성 방광염을 보였다. 3명(10%)에서 RTOG grade 1-2의 백혈구 감소증이 보였으며 1명에서 심한 백혈구 감소증(RTOG grade 4)이 나타났으나 회복되어 치료를 완료하였다. 만성 합병증으로 5명(15%)에서 RTOG grade 1-2의 만성 장염을 보였으며 별다른 치료 없이 지내고 있으며

        This is a report of familial carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) occuring in four members of two generations of a Korean family. One of those with CTS had surgical release and its pathologic finding was nonspecific fibrotic change. The age of those affected by CTS ranged form 35 to 76 years of age. Family pedigree suggests an autosomal dominant gene. This is belived to be the first case report of familial carpal tunnel syndrome in Korea.

        교육훈련에 대한 만족도가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향: 인사부서 커뮤니케이션 활동의 조절효과

        본 연구의 목적은 교육훈련에 대한 직원 만족도가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보는 것이다. 또한, 이 과정에서 HR 부서의 커뮤니케이션 활동이 어떠한 조절효과를 갖는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 사회적 교환이론에 근거하여, 교육훈련에 대한 직원 만족도가 조직몰입을 증가시킬 것이며, 이 과정에서 HR 부서의 커뮤니케이션 활동이 잘 수행수록 직원들의 교육훈련 만족도와 조직몰입 간 관계가 보다 강화될 것으로 예측하였다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 한국직업능력연구원의 Capital Corporate Panel; HCCP) 자료 중 근로자 응답한 8,938개 샘플을 활용하여 분석하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 교육훈련에 대한 직원 만족도는 조직몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 뿐만 아니라, 조절변수로 설정한 인사부서의 커뮤니케이션 활동은 교육훈련에 대한 만족도와 조직몰입 간 정(+)의 관계를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론에서는 구성원들의 조직몰입을 높이기 위해서는 사회적 교환관계로의 교육훈련 개념으로 접근할 필요가 있다는 점과, 이러한 사회적 관계를 강화하는 과정에서 인사부서의 커뮤니케이션이 중요한 맥락적 요인이라는 점을 제시한다. 또한, 결론 부분에서는 본 연구의 한계와 향후 연구방향을 제안함으로써 인적자원관리와 개발 관련 분야에의 함의를 제공하고자 한다. The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of employees education and training satisfaction on organizational commitment. In addition, we investigated the moderating role of human resource (HR) departments activities on the main effect. Social exchange theory predicts that employee satisfaction with education and training increases organizational commitment and that the activities of HR departments strengthen this relationship. To test these hypotheses, we analyzed 8,938 samples of Human Capital Corporate Panel datasets collected by the Korea Vocational Competency Development Institute. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that satisfaction with teaching and training positively impacted organizational commitment and that HR department activities strengthened this positive relationship. The study shows that to increase the organizational commitment of employees, organizations should focus on relationship investments, and the activities of HR departments considerably strengthen this relationship in a social context. Moreover, this study has implications for human resource management and development and suggests limitations and future research directions.

      • Weighted Centroid Localization Algorithm Based on Mobile Anchor Node for Wireless Sensor Networks

        Localization of nodes is a key technology for application of wireless sensor network. Having a GPS receiver on every sensor node is costly. In the past, several approaches, including range-based and range-free, have been proposed to calculate positions for randomly deployed sensor nodes. Most of them use some special nodes, called anchor nodes, which are assumed to know their own locations. Other sensors compute their locations based on the information provided by these anchor nodes. This paper uses a single mobile anchor node to move in the sensing field and broadcast its current position periodically. We provide a weighted centroid localization algorithm that uses coefficients, which are decided by the influence of mobile anchor node to unknown nodes, to prompt localization accuracy. We also suggest a criterion which is used to select mobile anchor node which involve in computing the position of nodes for improving localization accuracy. Weighted centroid localization algorithm is simple, and no communication is needed while locating. The localization accuracy of weighted centroid localization algorithm is better than maximum likelihood estimation which is used very often. It can be applied to many applications.

        The intrinsic relationship between color variation and performances of the deteriorated aviation lubrication oil

        Dose the blackened lubrication oil needs to be replaced forflying safety? Since there is very limited roomfor inaccurate assessment of oil quality due to strictflying safety standards, much aviation lubrication oilis disposed in advance long before their service life. More important, aircrafts still face the fatalchallenges from unpredictable lubrication oil deterioration. Color change is surely a significant signal to diagnose the quality of lubrication oils. Based on thecolorimeter, the color numbers of the testing lubrication oils are measured in this paper to identify thecolor variation degree of the oxidized lubrication oils. Then the molecular structures of the oxidizedlubrication oils are investigated tofind the intrinsic relationship between the oxidation products andcolor numbers. Based on key performances of the oxidized oil samples, the oil quality is undoubtfullydeteriorated which is coincident with the variation of color number. The color numbers of the usedaviation lubrication oils could provide an alternative way to readily and quickly measure the declinedegree and residual lifetime.

        Deep Auto-encoder Observer Multiple-Model Fast Aircraft Actuator Fault Diagnosis Algorithm

        In the extended multiple model adaptive estimation fault diagnosis algorithm, the extended Kalman filterhas theoretical limitations, and the establishment of accurate aircraft mathematical model is almost impossible. Meanwhile, there is no automatic method to optimally select the node number of deep neural network hiddenlayer. In this paper, a deep auto-encoder observer multiple-model fault diagnosis algorithm for aircraft actuatorfault is proposed. Based on the empirical formula of the basic auto-encoder hidden layer node number selection(three layered neural network), the recursive formula for deep auto-encoder hidden layer node number selectionare proposed. The deep auto-encoder observers for no-fault and different actuator faults are trained to observethe system state. Combined with multiple model adaptive estimation, the deep auto-encoder observer overcomesthe theoretical limitation of extended Kalman filter, and avoided the calculation of the nonlinear system Jacobianmatrix. The simulation results show that hidden layer node number selection recursive formula is useful. The faultdiagnosis algorithm is more efficient and has better performance compared to the standard methods.
