      • 젊은 남자 성인의 칼슘과 철의 영양상태에 관한 연구

        A survey was performed to 174 male young men who were living alone(40 persons) and shared living with friends(4143 persons) in Chungnam province. Their average age was 22.6 years old, height 171.8 ㎝, and weight 65.6 ㎏. Their daily calcium intake level was averaged 271.9±169.1 ㎎, which was 38.8 %RDA. Comparing calcium intake of each mealtime, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks were composed of 18.6%, 30.0%, 34.0% and 17.4%, respectively. Their daily iron intake level was averaged 8.9±10.8 ㎎, which was 74.3 %RDA. Comparing iron intake of each mealtime, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks were composed of 15.4%, 33.6%, 36.3% and 14.7%, respectively. These results suggested that deficiency of the two minerals in young male adults were severe and the nutrient qualities were also poor, no matter of their living alone or with accompanies. The deficiency was more profound in calcium than iron. And we observed iron nutriture differed significantly according to their living status, such as iron intake and its %RDA were significantly worse in single living subjects than the others. However calcium did not show significant difference. We concluded that shared living environment in young male adults could possibly improve their dietary mineral intake levels.

        가교된 PS 코어와 PBA 및 PS 셸로 이루어진 코어-더블셸형 나노입자의 압력가소성

        가교결합된 코어와 PBA, PS 더블-셸을 갖는 고분자 나노입자를 제조하고 압력가소 특성을 평가하였다. 더블-셸을 합성하기 위해 먼저, 가교된 코어입자를 St, DVB의 에멀션 중합을 통해서 제조하였으며, 이어서 PBA가 내부셸, PS가 외부셸을 형성하도록 3 단계의 연속적인 에멀션 중합을 수행하였다. 제조된 더블-셸 나노입자는 가교된 코어의 존재에도 불구하고 PBA, PS 간 압력상용성을 발견할 수 있었으며, 25 ℃에서 반투명한 시편으로 압출성형될 수 있었다. 기계적 물성측정 결과, 성형물의 탄성계수는 더블-셸 나노입자의 크기에 직접적으로 연관됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 PBA가 과량으로 첨가된 시편의 경우, 25 ℃에서 재가공이 성공적으로 진행되어 5회의 연속된 압출성형에도 불구하고 0.55MPa의 탄성계수와 1.81 MPa의 파단강도를 얻을 수 있었다. Polymer nanoparticles with cross-linked core and PBA/PS double-shell were synthesized and their baroplasticproperties were characterized. PBA/PS, the inner and outer shell with cross-linked core consisting of St and DVB weresynthesized by three-stage emulsion polymerization. The obtained materials exhibited pressure-induced mixing of theircomponents and could be processed at 25 ℃ by compression molding which means there was no effect of the presenceof cross-linked core. Interestingly, the Young`s modulus of molded objects has found to be affected strongly by the sizeof double-shell nanoparticles. Furthermore, the molded object of higher PBA content was successfully recycled 5 timesat 25 ℃ and showed 0.55 MPa of modulus and 1.81 MPa of strength at break.

        This study is to analyze the status of current science education, and to find its improvement measure. For the analysis of current science cducation, the questionare to present science teachers, interview with science teacher and statistical data relative to education were used. The categories for the analysis were the curriculum and its management, facilities for experiments, teachers, and students. The improvement measure for the inquiring science learning are as follows: 1. The contents of learning should be systematically connected with the objec-tives of subject, and the methods of evaluation should be managed in order to measure the student's level of achievement in the light of objectives of subject. 2. Since the possession ratio of laboratories and experimental facilities is very low, a epoch-making remedy is required. Also, the management system should be improved in order to raise the level of its practical use, and the law of standard facilities should be reformed according to the new curriculum. 3. The opportunities of science teacher's training should be enlarged, and the class hours and mental burden should be lessened. 4. The teaching methods should be improved so that the student may play an active role in his class, and the number of students per one class should be diminished for the inquiring learning.

      • 디지탈 멀티비젼 ASIC의 설계

        The wide spread of multimedia sysrem deands a large viewing display device which can inform a message to many peoples in open area. This paper is about the design and simulating of a large viewing digital multi-wision control ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit). In this paper. the digital multi-vision ASIC has one channel of imput cideo signal wihich is compliance with CCIR-656 specification and four channels of output video signal which are compliance with CCIR-601 specificarion. It has 2 operating mode. The one is the pass-thro;ugh mode. input vido signal goes to output video signal without any change, and the another one is the expension mode, input video signal is expended by from 2 to 16 times into output video signal. In expension mode. awindow could be programmed and only the input video signal in the window is expended. The 0.6 micron CMOS sEA OF Gate is used to design the ASIC in amount of about 23,000 gates, and it is simulated at 48MHz.

      • 회전거울을 이용한 광속도 측정에 대한 연구

        회전거울을 이용한 광속측정법은 거울의 회전에 기인한 광원점의 상 변위를 측정함으로써 단순한 장치로 비교적 정확한 측정값을 기대할 수 있다. 그러나 정밀하고 적절한 기구정렬이 없이는 상을 찾기 어렵다. 이 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 고찰하고 그 해결책을 모색하였다. 정밀한 기구정렬을 거쳐 공기중에서 측정한 광속은 c=2.99±.16×108m/s이었다. An advanced undergrauate laboratory experiment is described which uses a laser, a rotating mirror assembly, a fixed mirror and a measuring microscope to determine the speed of light using time of flight. We investigated the alignment methods to obtain a good image. The measurement value was c=2.99±.16×108m/s in air.

        급성 뇌졸중 환자에 있어서 병원 도착까지 지연시간 및 지연요인 분석

        Background: Recent advances have been made in the treatment of acute stroke, but the effectiveness of the new therapies is highly time-dependent. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the time from symptom onset to hospital arrival and the total arrival delay time for patients with acute stroke. Methods: A prospective registry of patients presenting to the ED with signs or symptoms of acute stroke was established at Ewha Womans university Mokdong and Dongdaemun hospitals from March to December 1999, We analyzed the the prehospital delay time(reaction interval and total arrival delay) and factors associated with delayed arrival at the hospital. Results: The study included 256 patients(49% were women) with a mean age of 62±13 years. 50.9% of the patients arrived within 3 hours, and 94.9% patients arrived within 24 hours after onset of symptoms of acute stroke. The total arrival delay mine was 180 minutes(median time), and the reaction interval was 60 minutes(median time). Transportation by 119 or 129 ambulance was linked to shorter delay(47 minutes). Age, mental status, and degree of disability were statistically significant factors associated with delayed arrival at the hospital. Conclusion: Age, mental status, and degree of disability were significant factors associated with delayed arrival at the hospital. For effective treatment of acute stroke patients, increased public awareness to use an ambulance with direct transport to the acute-care hospital is required.

        11β-수산화효소 결핍에 의한 선천성 부신증식증 1예

        저자들은 국내에서 처음으로 음핵 비대와 지속적인 질출혈을 주소로 내원한 19세 여성에서 고혈압이 동반되지 않으면서 11 -수산화효소 결핍으로 인한 선천성부신증식증을 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 이를 보고하는 바이다. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia refers to a group of autosomal recessive disorders that is defective in the synthesis of cortisol. The enzymes most often affected are 21-hydroxylase and 11 - hydroxylase. The low levels of cortisol stimulate the pituitary gland to release ACTH. Chronic elevation of the ACTH level causes bilateral adrenal hyperplasia and a secondary increase in androgen formation. We examined a 19 year-old woman presented with clitoral hypertrophy and vaginal spotting. The subjects basal level of serum cortisol was low, but the serum levels of ACTH, 17a-hydroxyprogesterone, deoxy-corticosterone were elevated. The urinary excretions of 17-ketosteroids and 17-hydroxycorticosteroids were also increased. The karyotyping study and transrectal ultrasonography showed normal findings. The patient underwent clitoris reduction surgery and received hydrocortisone. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of 11 -hydroxylase deficiency in Korea (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 19:58∼63, 2004).
