<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Contagious equine metritis is a highly transmissible venereal disease of horses caused by the bacterium, <I>Taylorella equigenitalis</I>. After the first identification of <I>T. equigenitalis</I> in Korea in 2015, targeted surveillance of Thoroughbreds was conducted using real-time polymerase chain reaction. Initially, the prevalence of <I>T. equigenitalis</I> in the Thoroughbred population tested was 13.5% (71/526). All positive animals were placed under quarantine and treated according to previously described protocols (Jeoung et al., J Equine Vet Sci, 2016; 47:42–6). After the initial outbreak identification, annual national surveillance for <I>T. equigenitalis</I> was conducted from 2015 to 2017, and by 2017, prevalence was reduced to 1.0% (22/2,171). Most positive cases were located in Jeju province, the major horse-rearing region in Korea. A total of 12 <I>T. equigenitalis</I> strains were isolated during the surveillance period, and multilocus sequence typing (MLST) and eBURST analysis were applied to determine epidemiological characteristics. All Korean strains showed a unique MLST allelic profile (1-2-1-2-2-2-1; <I>gltA</I>-<I>gyrB</I>-<I>fh</I>-<I>shmt</I>-<I>tyrB</I>-<I>adk</I> in order) and were classified as sequence type 55. In addition, they showed little relationship with <I>T. equigenitalis</I> strains isolated from other countries. Considering the unique biological and genetic characteristics of the Korean isolates, effective quarantine measures and continued surveillance will be required to eradicate the disease and prevent incursions of additional <I>T. equigenitalis</I> strains into Korea.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> In Korea, a national <I>T. equigenitalis</I> surveillance program conducted in Thoroughbred horses showed a decrease in prevalence from 13.5% in 2015 to 1.0% in 2017. </LI> <LI> Characterization of 12 Korean <I>T. equigenitalis</I> isolates showed identical bacteriological properties and demonstrated a unique multilocus sequence typing (MLST) profile (1-2-1-2-2-1). </LI> <LI> All Korean <I>T. equigenitalis</I> isolates were classified as MLST sequence type 55 (ST55) and showed little genetic relationship with isolates from other countries. </LI> </UL> </P>

본 논문에서는 캐비티 백(Cavity-back) 구조를 이용한 신호 정보 수집용 광대역 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 캐비티 구조를 가지는 접지면, 마이크로스트립 급전선, 슬롯이 식각된 사각패치로 이루어져 있다. 제안된 안테나는 55 mm×40 mm×10 mm의 크기에서 캐비티 구조를 통해 광대역의 대역폭을 갖는다. 안테나의 측정된 10 dB 반사손실 대역폭은 5,030 MHz(3.02~8.05 GHz)이며, 중심주파수 5.05 GHz에서 비 대역폭 90.9 %을 가진다. ANSYS사의 HFSS v.15.0.0을 이용하여 제안된 안테나의 설계 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 제작 및 측정을 통해 안테나의 성능 및 설계방법의 타당성을 검증하였다. In this paper, a cavity back slot antenna with a rotated rectangular patch is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a ground plane with cavity structure, a microstrip feed line, and a rectangular patch with slot. With a dimension of 55 mm×40 mm×10 mm, the proposed antenna has the wide bandwidth due to the cavity structure. Measured 10 dB return loss bandwidth and fractional bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 5,030 MHz(3.02~8.05 GHz) and 90.9 % at the center frequency of 5.05 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed and simulated using ANSYS HFSS v.15.0.0. The designed antenna is fabricated and tested to validate its performances.

Purpose: To investigate the relative risks (RRs) for dementia among individuals with glaucoma. Methods: We conducted a search of PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Cochrane databases for observational cohort studies examining the association between glaucoma and dementia until March 2023. Two authors independently screened all titles and abstracts according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Pooled RR and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were generated using random-effect models. Results: The meta-analysis included 18 cohort studies conducted in eight countries and involving 4,975,325 individuals. The pooled RR for the association between glaucoma and all-cause dementia was 1.314 (95% CI, 1.099–1.572; I2 = 95%). The pooled RRs for the associations of open-angle glaucoma with Alzheimer dementia and Parkinson disease were 1.287 (95% CI, 1.007–1.646; I2 = 96%) and 1.233 (95% CI, 0.677–2.243; I2 = 73%), respectively. The pooled RRs for the associations of angle- closure glaucoma with all-cause dementia and Alzheimer dementia were 0.978 (95% CI, 0.750–1.277; I2 = 17%) and 0.838 (95% CI, 0.421–1.669; I2 = 16%), respectively. No evidence of publication bias was detected in the Begg-Mazumdar adjusted rank correlation test (p = 0.47). Conclusions: Based on current observational cohort studies, there is evidence supporting that glaucoma is a risk factor for dementia in the adult population.

Purpose: To investigate the prevalence ratio of primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) and primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) in the Asian population. Methods: Systematic searches of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases for population-based studies in Asia published until August 5, 2022. We conducted a meta-analysis for PACG to POAG prevalence ratio using inverse variance–weighted random- effects meta-analyses so as to combine the study-specific measures of association. Between-study outcome variation (i.e., heterogeneity) was quantified with the I2 statistic. The multiple meta-regression analyses were performed in order to further account for the reasons for heterogeneity. Results: Twenty studies, with a total study population of 52,522 individuals, had been conducted in 13 countries. The pooled PACG to POAG prevalence ratio was 2.204 (95% confidence interval, 1.617–3.004) with high heterogeneity (p < 0.001). In multiple meta-regression model, prevalence of POAG is the most important predictor for heterogeneity (model importance, 0.954), followed continent (0.508), and publication year (0.222). For every additional elevation of POAG prevalence (i.e., increase of 1.0%), the PACG to POAG prevalence ratio is expected to rise by 0.471. Conclusions: We estimated the pooled PACG to POAG prevalence ratio in the Asian population. The POAG prevalence is the most important factor to determine the PACG to POAG prevalence ratio.

최근 스마트폰의 보급이 증가하면서 그 사용자 역시 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 이 중 안드로이드 기반의 스마트폰의 경우 Borderless Application, No limit, 다양한 플랫폼에서의 개발 및 오픈소스 등의 장점으로 인해 시장 점유율이 급속도로 증가한 반면, 그에 따른 보안이 시스템 개발속도를 따라가지 못하면서 각종 보안 취약점 및 해킹 공격 등에 위협을 받고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 안드로이드의 기본 구조 및 보안, 그리고 여러 가지 보안 위협 사례들을 분석하여 공격 유형을 파악한다. 또한 이를 통해 현재 보안 수준 및 문제점에 대한 향후 보안 대책과 권고사항에 대하여 고찰한다.

In order to monitor the parasites 417 fecal samples were taken from ogol chicken in Chonbuk area, The isolation and identification of the parasites were determined by the fecal examination using the floatation and microscopical examination, respectively. The detection rate of the eggs and unsporulated oocysts from the feces was 47.7%(199 heads), in the concerns of complicated infection with single, double and triple were 36.6%(153 heads), 9.5%(40 heads) and 1.4%(6 heads), respectively. The parasites isolated were identified as eimeria spp from 115 heads, dermanyssus spp from 103 heads, ascaridia galli from 26 heads, pterolichus obtusus from 13 heads, capillana spp from 6 heads and heterakiss gallirarwn from 1 head, in order.
