Mg₂SiO₄ : La, Ho 열형광선량계에서 활성제 농도가 글로우 커브에 미치는 영향 La, Ho TLD on Activation Concentration

본 연구에서는 Mg₂SiO₄에 활성화 물질로 La, Ho를 첨가하여 열형광체를 제작하였고 불순물의 농도를 1wt.% ∼5 wt.%까지 변화시키면서 열평광강도의 glow curve를 측정하였다. 도한 열형광체의 glow curve를 peak shape법으로 분석해서 TL특성에 대한 포획 매개변수와 활성화 에너지, 발광차수, 선량의존성등을 조사하였으며, 그 물리적 특성을 조사하고 선량계로서 타당성과 실용성을 확인하였다. The Mg₂SiO₄: La, Ho thermoluminescent phospher has been prepared by sintring Mg₂SiO₄after doping the transition elements La and Ho. The heating rate is 10℃/sec at this thermoluminescent phospher are heated. The maximum peaks are found in the measured Mg₂SiO₄: La and Ho. TL glow curve at 229℃ and 345 C when the 1 wt.%-5 wt.%. The glow curve of TLD increased TL intensity and temperature of peak appears to the high temperature when the heating rate is l0℃/sec-25℃/sec. The activation energy of the main peak has been estimated by the peak shape method. The estimated activation energies are 1.77 eV. 1.52 eV respectively. The thermoluminescence process in Mg₂SiO₄: La and Ho are found to the 2nd order when the main peak of the glow curve is analyzed by peak shape method. The dose responses of Mg₂SiO₄: La and Ho TLD are linear up to intensity of X-ray.

N-acetyl cysteine inhibits H2O2-mediated reduction in the mineralization of MC3T3-E1 cells by down-regulating Nrf2/HO-1 pathway

There are controversial findings regarding the roles of nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2)/heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) pathway on bone metabolism under oxidative stress. We investigated how Nrf2/HO-1 pathway affects osteoblast differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells in response to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), or both. Exposing the cells to H2O2 decreased the alkaline phosphatase activity, calcium accumulation, and expression of osteoblast markers, such as osteocalcin and runt-related transcription factor-2. In contrast, H2O2 treatment increased the expression of Nrf2 and HO-1 in the cells. Treatment with hemin, a chemical HO-1 inducer, mimicked the inhibitory effect of H2O2 on osteoblast differentiation by increasing the HO-1 expression and decreasing the osteogenic marker genes. Pretreatment with NAC restored all changes induced by H2O2 to near normal levels in the cells. Collectively, our findings suggest that H2O2-mediated activation of Nrf2/HO-1 pathway negatively regulates the osteoblast differentiation, which is inhibited by NAC. The Mg_(2)SiO_(4) thermoluminescent phospher has been prepared by sintring Mg_(2)SiO_(4) after doping the transition elements Dy. Nd. Ho. La and Tb. The beating rate of this thermoluminescent phosper is 10℃/sec. The maximum peaks are found in the measured Mg_(2)SiO_(4) TL glow curve at 220℃, 252℃, 345℃, 229℃ and 289℃ when the \transition elements Dy, Nd, Ho, La and Tb are 1 ~5 wt. %. The thermoluminescence process in Mg_(2)SiO_(4) : Dy, Nd, Ho, La and Tb are found to the 2nd order when the main peak of the glow curve is analyzed by peak shape method. The Mg_(2)SiO_(4) thermoluminescent phosphor is the most sensitive to the X-rays. The dose responses of Mg_(2)SiO_(4) : Du, Nd, Ho, La, and Tb TLDs are linear up to intensity of X-ray.

Carbohydrate-containing Triton X-100 analogues for membrane protein solubilization and stabilization

<P>Membrane protein manipulation is a challenging task owing to limited tertiary and quaternary structural stability once the protein has been removed from a lipid bilayer. Such instability can be overcome by embedding membrane proteins in detergent micelles formed from amphiphiles with carefully tuned properties. This study introduces a class of easy-to-synthesize amphiphiles, which are designated CGT (Chae's Glyco-Triton) detergents. 자동차차체 및 부품제조업 산업장의 작업환경실태에 관한 조사 연구

Objectives: For the purpose of preparing the fundamental data and control the working environment and assessing the status of working environmental in manufacturing industry of bodies for motor car and of parts. Methods and Materials: Accessories for motor car and its engines the auther measured the noise level, concentration of dust, heavymetals, organic solvents, chemicals to 99 industries(24 working processes) form Feb. 2000 to Oec. 2000. Results: The results were as follows : 1. Mean noise level cutting, grinding, pressing, foundries and shot-blast was exceeded to threshold limit value(TLV) of noise. 2. Mean concentration of total dust was not exceeded to TLV. 3. Mean concentration of Mn in welding process and Pb in drying, welding, fabricating, rolling was exceeded to TLV. 4. Mean concentration for chemicals and organic solvents were not exceeded to TLV. 5. Mean concentration of dust and heavymetals were statistical significant difference between with local ventilation system and without local ventilation system. Conclusion: Above results, author suggest to prepare more passively control to working environment where exceeded the TLV.

한국어판 병동매일행동척도 개발

Objectives : Patient's behavior features are important factors which influences the clinical judgement including diagnosis. However, most psychiatrists build up a picture of patients' behavior from an amalgamation of their own brief observations and nurses' reports, which often lack in the objectiveness. Several behavioral scales have been developed to alleviate this difficulty, but the poor efficiency and reliability of these scales have made them less useful. The recently developed Ward Daily Behavior Scale is an objective tool for evaluating all the daily noteworthy behaviors of patients, and is easily applicable to wide ranges of diagnoses and ages. This study tried to prove the reliability and validity of the Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version. Methods : The 112 patients, 63 males and 49 females, at a chronic psychiatric inpatient ward were selected as subjects. Experienced and unexperienced nurses rated patients' behaviors independently with the Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version, after observing behaviors of subjects for 8 hours during day duty time. And then we tested the inter-rater reliability, internal consistency, and concurrent validity of this scale. Results : The Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version proved to be both reliable and valid for measuring of behaviors of psychiatric inpatients. Conclusions : The Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version will be a valuable tool to observe and quantify patients' behavior in psychiatric wards.

췌장염에 의한 가성낭종내에 생긴 가성동맥류 : 1례 보고

만성 췌장염의 합병증으로 생긴 가성동맥류는 드문질환으로, 반복적으로 다량의 출혈을 일으킬 수 있으며, 치료를 하지 않을 경우 사망율이 높기 때문에, 조기 진단과 치료가 필수적이다. 저자들은 38세 남자 환자에서 췌장염의 합병증으로 생긴 가성낭종내에서 발생한 가성동맥류 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. 가성 동맥류의 색혈류도플러상 낭종내에 양방향 흐름의 와류를 볼 수 있었다. Because of high morbidity and mortality, early detection and treatment of the pseudoaneurysm is needed. We report a case of pseudoaneurysm within pseudocyst from pancreatitis. Color-flow Doppler sonography shows bidirectional flow and turbulent arterial flow, within anechoic mass.

댄스스포츠 선수들을 통한 자기관리, 파트너십, 참여만족의 관계

이 연구는 댄스스포츠 선수의 자기관리, 파트너십, 참여만족 사이의 상호작용을 조사하는 데 목적이 있다. 대한댄스스포츠경기연맹에 등록된 244명 선수들을 연구대상으로 하였으며, Amos를 이용하여 제안된 연구모형을 위해 구조방정식과 브트스트랩핑을분석하였다. 종합적인 결론으로, 댄스스포츠 선수의 몸관리, 대인관리, 훈련관리는 선수 간의 파트너십에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 선수의 참여만족에는 몸관리, 대인관리, 훈련관리 모두 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 선수 간의 파트너십은 댄스스포츠참여만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 선수 간의 파트너십은 선수의 몸관리, 대인관리, 훈련관리와 참여만족 사이에서 완전매개의 역할을 하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of self-management and partnership on satisfaction of participating. Data were collected from 274 dancesport players registered in Korean Federation of Dancesport(KFD). Structural equation modeling indicated that while physical management, training management, and interpersonal management of self-management had a positive effect on partnership, all they didn't have an impact on satisfaction of participating. Furthermore, partnership positively affected satisfaction of participating. All estimated paths for the indirect effect were statistically significant, while the estimates of the direct effect from physical management, training management, and interpersonal management to satisfaction of participating were not significant. Therefore, potentially, partnership fully mediated the paths between physical management, training management, and interpersonal management and satisfaction of participating.

8년간(1992~1999) 산업안전보건연구원에 의뢰된 직업병 심의 사례 분석

Objectives : Pneumoconisis and noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) have been reported as main occupational diseases by the Special Health Examination. The Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance has reported various work-related diseases, however, these two diseases occupied almost a half of compensated cases. Therefore, it was not well known about the status of occupational diseases other than pneumoconiosis, NIHL, and cardio-cerebrovascular accident (CVA). This study was conducted to analyze claimed cases as an occupational disease, that was requested to the Korea Industrial Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). Methods : The local office of the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation (KLWC) has asked the KOSHA for confirmation of claimed cases as an occupational disease. We analyzed 379 cases requested from KLWC, the Ministry of Labor, employers, unions and occupational health agencies from 1992 to 1999. Results : Male was 80.7 % of the requested cases. Their mean age was 42 years old and 75.5 % of them were more than 35 years old. The requested cases were increased rapidly from 25 cases in 1992 to 108 cases in 1999 and the accept rate was 50.7 %. The majority of requested cases were respiratory diseases(22.4%), cancers(18.5%), Neuropsychiatric problems(14.5%), and musculoskeletal problems(13.5%). The accept rate was high in reproductive, respiratory, musculoskeletal and digestive disorders and low in neuropsychiatric, renal and otologic problems and occupational cancers. 73.6% of them were caused by chemical agents, especially 28.5 % were by organic solvents. 67% of them were clinically confirmed at university hospitals. A half of the cases were from KyongIn area, even the request came from the whole country. Conclusions : A claim was common in workers whose age was over 35 years old and exposure history was over 10 years. The respiratory diseases and neuropsychiatric disorders were still main problems in occupational health and occupational cancers was increasing even though its accept rate was not high yet.
