Polymers have commonly an extremely low thermal conductivity of an order of ~0.1 W/m-K due to their chain entanglement. To overcome this drawback, many techniques have been developed such as chain drawing, blending, crosslinking. Among them, crosslinking has recently attracted lots of attention because many studies have shown the possibility of enhancement of thermal conductivity in the theoretical and numerical ways. However, several researches reported adverse effect of crosslinking on the improvement of thermal conductivity. In this work, we measured the thermal conductivity of PAA (polyacrylic acid) electrospun nanofibers, which were crosslinked and pH regulated in order to further enhance the thermal conductivity of the nanofibers.
