한국 비디오게임의 문화신학적 해석 ‘원더포션’의‘산나비’를 중심으로

본 논문은 현대사회에 부합하는 한국적인 문화와 정체성을 발견하기 위하여 폴 틸리히의 ‘문화의 신학’에서 나타나는 문화 예술 분석 방법을 사용하여 한국의 비디오게임 중 한국의 전통적 이미지를 다수 차용하며 2022년에 인디게임상을 수여받은 ‘원더포션’의 게임 ‘산나비’를 분석하려 한다. ‘산나비’는 현대 자본주의를 대표하는 사이버펑크 장르와 한국의 전통적 이미지를 함께 나타낸 한국적 사이버펑크 장르를 배경으로 하는 픽셀 아트 방식의 사이드뷰 플랫포머 액션 어드벤처 게임이다. 본작에서 주인공은 자아를 찾아가는 여정에서 본질과 실존이 괴리되는 소외 상태를 극복하고, 딸을 구하기 위해 희생하는 결말을 맞이하며 자신의 정체성을 완성하는 극복의 모습을 보여준다.그것은 곧 한국의 문화가 내세우는 주제가 혼합성과 정체성 확립이라는 것을 내재하고 있다는 사실을 알려준다. 이것은 한국적 문화와 그 정체성을 보편성과 특수성을 혼합하여 하나의 문화로 나타내는 연합성과 연합의 행위 가운데서 본질을 되찾는 소외의 극복으로 정의한다. 따라서 한국의 기독교 신학이 나아가야 할 신학은 K콘텐츠가 가지고 있는 ‘혼합성’을 이해하여 그리스도 중심의 신학과 다양한 문화를 융합하여 새로운 문화를 창조하는 ‘통섭성’을 가진 K-신학이 되기를 제시한다. In order to discover Korean culture and identity in modern society, this paper tries to analyze the game ‘SANABI’ of ‘Wonder Portion’ which was awarded the Indie Game Award in 2022, borrowing many traditional Korean images among Korean video games using the cultural and artistic analysis method shown in Paul Tillich's ‘Theology of Culture.’ ‘SANABI’ is a pixel-art type side-view flatformer action adventure game set in the Korean cyberpunk genre, which represents modern capitalism and traditional images of Korea. In the main work, the main character shows overcoming the alienation, where essence and existence are separated, and completing his identity by facing the end of sacrificing to save his daughter. It shows that the theme of Korean culture is inherent in the establishment of complexity and identity. This defines Korean culture and its identity as a union representing universality and specificity as a culture, and overcoming alienation that restores the essence of the union's actions. Therefore, the theology that Korean Christian theology should pursue is suggested to be a K-theology with ‘Consilience’ that combines Christian theology with various cultures to create a new culture by understanding the ‘complexity’ of K-content.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Humanistic Reflection

Modern society is rapidly changing into a new technological environment based on cutting-edge science and technology and automation systems, and also the demand for awareness and responsiveness to the fourth industrial revolution is increasing not only in science and industry but also in various academic fields including the humanities. However, it will be difficult to be optimistic that the side effects of the operation of automated systems that have not yet been resolved and the legal and ethical problems that arise from them can be easily overcome. Therefore, rather than overly optimistic expectations for the progress of civilization according to the fourth industrial revolution, there should be parallel humanistic discussion and deep reflection on human consciousness and philosophy in the process of application and operation of science and technology. 현대 사회는 최첨단 과학 기술과 자동화 시스템을 기반으로 하는 새로운 기술환경으로 빠르게 변화하고 있으며, 또한 과학이나 산업 분야 뿐만이 아니라 인문학을 비롯한 다양한 학계에서 4차 산업에 대한 인식과 대응력에 대한 요구는 갈수록 높아지고 있다. 그러나 아직 해결되지 않은 자동화 시스템의 운용에서 드러나는 부작용과 그로 인해 발생하는 법률적, 윤리적 문제들이 쉽게 극복될 수 있을 것인지 낙관하기는 어려울 것이다. 따라서 4차 산업혁명에 따른문명의 진보에 대한 지나친 낙관적 기대보다는, 그 적용과 운영하는 과정에 있어서 인문학적 논의와 인간의 의식 및 철학에 관한 깊은 성찰이 병행되어야한다.

변화하는 시대 속에 창조적 변화하는 교회 모델 : 존 캅의 교회론을 중심으로

이 연구는 기독교의 정체성을 확보하면서 상황에 유연성을 갖춘 교회론을 제시하는데 있다. 그 이유는 절대주의와 상대주의를 돌파하기 위함이다. 우선 과거에 형성된 교리와 이해에 절대성을 부여함으로 변화의 가능성을 없애는 절대주의를 돌파하여 변화의 가능성을 확보할 것이다. 그리고 모든 것은 해체시키는 상대주의를 돌파함으로 기독교의 정체성을 확보할 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 존 캅의 교회론을 살펴보도록 하겠다. 존 캅은 예수를 하나님의 최초의 목적을 갖고 모든 피조물에 내제하며 그 목적에 맞게 변화시키는 존재로 해석한다. 또한 교회가 그 화육한 그리스도의 몸으로 존재하기에 하나님의 최초의 목적에 맞게 세상을 변화시키는 공동체로 해석한다. 이를 통해 일차적으로 변화의 가능성과 정체성을 확보하고자 한다. 그리고 이차적으로 ‘인권’, ‘생태계’, ‘종교’의 문제에 책임감을 갖고 세상을 변화시키는 공동체성을 확보하고자 한다. This research aims to present an ecclesiology that is flexible to the situation while securing the identity of Christianity. The reason is to break through absolutism and relativism. First of all, we will secure the possibility of change by breaking through the absolutism that eliminates the possibility of change by giving absoluteness to the doctrines and understandings formed in the past. And by breaking through the relativism that dismantles everything, we will secure the identity of Christianity. To achieve this aim, I will look at John B. Cobb's ecclesiology. John Cobb interprets Jesus as a being who has God's original purpose, is inherent in all creatures, and changes them according to that purpose. Also, since the church exists as the incarnated body of Christ, it is interpreted as a community that changes the world according to God's original purpose. Through this, we want to secure the possibility of change and identity in the primarily. And secondarily, we want to secure a sense of community that changes the world with a sense of responsibility for the issues of ‘human rights’, ‘ecosystem’, and ‘religion’.

In “The Minister's Black Veil,” Nathaniel Hawthorne describes how a Puritan pastor's black veil aroused collective fear in his parishioners, and how the symbol of the black veil in the real world gives rise to many interpretations in the imaginary world of the parishioners who look at it. If Reverend Hooper chooses voluntary isolation through the black veil, his parishioners will fear and distance themselves from him because they feel that the black veil sees through the evil sins hidden in their actions and thoughts. Whether Hooper wore the black veil out of sense of guilt or symbolic meaning, the fact that he did not remove the veil during the Sunday service at Milford Church, at the funeral, at the wedding, and even until his death and burial in the grave probably suggests that all humans are sinners, the universality of sin. In this way, in that Hawthorne is a writer who explores the problems of sin and evil deep within human consciousness and deals with the impact of sin on human psychology rather than sin itself, “The Minister's Black Veil” is worth recommending reading to readers interested in early Puritan literature in the United States and Hawthorn's works.

James Clear argues that habits are our identity. Good habits can guarantee our bright future, whereas bad habits may lead our life to failure. Thus, changes do not take place overnight; rather, it is the result of long repeated habits. Habits are more than ‘doing something’; they are ‘becoming someone’. To form good habits the environment around you is crucial. If you are in a good environment, you can easily form good habits. The successful are those who stick to routines even if they are boring and somewhat challenging. Amateurs push good routines out of priority; they let their lives interrupt. Those who stick to routines that seem trivial are true professionals and the ones that make differences.

[서 평] 참된 만남 : 마르틴 부버의 ‘나와 너’

‘나와 너’의 만남에 대한 심오한 철학적 사유를 했던 마르틴 부버의 ‘나와 너’를 통해서 우리는 진정한 만남을 통해서만 참된 삶을 이룰 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 이와 대비되는 ‘나-그것’의 관계로 서로를 물건 대하듯 이용만 하며 비인간적으로 살아간다면 우리 공동체 구성원의 인격의 가치와 존엄은 상실된다. 진정한 만남의 본질은 온 존재를 기울여야 하는 직접적 대화이다. 중요한 것은 내가 원하고 집착한다고 해서 그런 만남의 대화를 성사할 수 없다는 점이다. 그 만남의 시간은 상대에게 마음을 비우고 진심을 갖고 그 은혜를 기다릴 때 마주할 수 있는 시간이다. 그 은총의 한순간은 한 사람의 일생에서 영원한 순간이 된다. Through Martin Buber’s ‘I and Thou’, a profound philosophical reflection on the encounter between ‘I and Thou’, we can see that we can achieve true life only through true encounter. In contrast, if we live inhumanely, using each other as if we were objects, in an ‘I-It’ relationship, the value and dignity of the personality of members of our community is lost. The essence of a true encounter is a direct conversation with one's whole being. The important thing is that I cannot achieve such a meeting and conversation just because I want it and am obsessed with it. The meeting time is when you empty your heart towards the other person and wait for that grace with sincerity. That one moment of grace becomes an eternal moment in a person's life.
