In this paper, an optimization technique for a mixed-discrete problem is discussed. The application of a genetic algorithm to find the solution of mixed-discrete problem is demonstrated. Genetic Algorithms(GA) are based on the principles of natural genetics and natural selection. As the algorithms have various design points including the characters of section area in the design field, GA have fatal weak points on processing and iteration time. In this study for the sake of overcoming these problems, section areas are not directly used but the standardized section areas are used. In this study the standardized section areas consist of the section area being used much. Furthermore, our results are compared and investigated by the existing optimization design result through the example.
