      • 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동이 유아의 기하개념 이해와 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동을 제공하여 유아의 기하개념 향상과 수학활동에 대한 태도가 증진되었는지를 살펴봄으로써 유아 수학교육과 미술교육의 효율적인 방법에 대한 기초 정보를 제시하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 서울 은평구에 위치한 S유치원 만 5세 2학급의 유아 40명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구는 16차시의 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동과 수학활동을 구성하여 각각 실험집단과 비교집단 유아에게 실시하였다. 기하개념이해를 알아보기 위하여 김지영(2004)이 개발한 검사 도구를 연구자가 수정ㆍ보완하여 사용하였으며, 수학적 태도는 김경희(2006)가 번안ㆍ수정한 것을 연구자가 재수정ㆍ보완하여 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 다변인공변량분석(MANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동을 실시한 실험집단의 유아들이 수학활동만 실시한 비교집단의 유아들보다 기하개념이해에 유의미한 증가를 보였다. 구체적으로는 기하개념의 하위요소인 2ㆍ3차원 기하학적 관계 이해, 좌표기하 이해, 대칭과 변형 이해, 공간적 시각화 및 공간적 추리 이해 4가지 모두에서 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동을 실시한 실험집단의 유아들이 수학활동만 실시한 비교집단의 유아들보다 수학적 태도에 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 이는 유아들이 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동에 참여하면서 수학에 대한 흥미, 대안탐색 의도, 유능감에 있어서 긍정적인 태도를 형성했음을 의미한다. 따라서 수학ㆍ미술 통합 활동이 수학활동보다 유아의 기하개념이해와 수학적 태도 증진에 효과적인 교수학습방법으로 유아교육 현장에 적용될 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. The purpose of this study was to examine whether a math-and-art-integration program will improve young children's understanding of some geometrical concepts and mathematical attitude. The subjects were 40 children of 5-years-old. They were randomly assigned into an experimental(n=20) and a comparison(n=20) group. The experimental group engaged in a math-and-art-integration program, while the comparison group engaged in a math-activities-only program. The integration program included art activities (drawing, constructing, designing, collage, clay, decalcomanie, famous painting appreciation) and math activities. The other program included math manipulation and document activities using various math materials. Each program consists of 16 sessions for 8 weeks. Before and after each program, the Kim's Geometry Concept Understanding Test(2004) and the Kim's Mathematical Attitude Test(2006) were administered. The MANCOVA was conducted for data analysis. The results were as following. Firstly, the experimental group performed better than the comparison group in understanding some geometrical concepts such as 2nd and 3rd dimensional relation, coordinates, spatial visualization, and spatial inference. Secondly, the experimental group showed more significant improvement than the comparison group in mathematical attitude. They showed more interests and self-effectiveness in math activities, and explored more alternatives when solving math problems. These results imply that integration of math and art activities can be an effective teaching method for preschoolers to teach math and art.

        Exploring Consumers’ Safety Anxiety about the Food Environment in South Korea

        The diversification of food sources has increased consumers’ safety anxiety about the food environment in South Korea. This study aimed to investigate the level of consumers’ safety anxiety about the food environment across six food source groups and factors related to the anxiety. Data were collected from 1,126 adults aged 20∼59 years using an online survey. Among the six food source groups consisting of 31 product items, the anxiety level about ‘imported agricultural and fishery products’ was highest (3.49 out of 5 points), followed by that of ‘foods from commercial and institutional foodservice’ (3.44). Gender, the age of the youngest child, and the level of health concern were related to consumers’ safety anxiety about the food environment. Women (OR=1.72) were more likely to be anxious than men. Consumers whose youngest child was 12 years or younger (OR=1.66) were more likely to be anxious than those whose youngest child was over 12 years of age. Consumers with a high level of health concern (OR=1.50) were more likely to be anxious than those with a low level of health concern. In conclusion, the levels of consumers’ safety anxiety differed according to the food source group and the consumers’ characteristics. It is recommended that governments and food companies should develop differentiated communication strategies that consider such differences in order to decrease unnecessary consumers’ safety anxiety about the food environment.

      • Lipid Production by Arctic Microalga <i>Chlamydomonas</i> sp. KNF0008 at Low Temperatures

        <P> A lipid-producing microalga, <I>Chlamydomonas</I> sp. KNF0008, collected from the Arctic was capable of growing at temperatures ranging from 4 to 20 ℃, and the highest cell density was measured at 15 ℃ and 100 μmol photons m<SUP>-2</SUP> s<SUP>-1</SUP> light intensity under continuous shaking and external aeration. KNF0008 showed the elevated accumulation of lipid bodies under nitrogen-deficient conditions, rather than under nitrogen-sufficient conditions. Fatty acid production of KNF0008 was 4.2-fold (104 mg L<SUP>-1</SUP>) higher than that of <I>C. reinhardtii</I> CC-125 at 15 ℃ in Bold's Basal Medium. The dominant fatty acids were C16:0, C16:4, C18:1, and C18:3, and unsaturated fatty acids (65.69%) were higher than saturated fatty acids (13.65%) at 15 ℃. These results suggested that Arctic <I>Chlamydomonas</I> sp. KNF0008 could possibly be utilized for production of biodiesel during periods of cold weather because of its psychrophilic characteristics. </P>

      • Establishment of Evaluation Method for Bhas 42 Cell Transformation Assay

        The ICH S1B (R1) appendix has been recently revised to supplement the overall S1 guidelines and used in close conjunction with ICH S1A, S1B, and S1C. This appendix is intended to provide an integrated approach to provide a specific weight of evidence (WoE) for determining whether a 2-year rat carcinogenicity study provides value in performing a human carcinogenic risk assessment. The OECD tried to allow to use the described method as part of a weight of evidence approach in the testing of substances for carcinogenic potential, and proposed a cell transformation assay using Bhas 42 cells. Cell transformation assays were evaluated using Bhas42 cells, and the number of foci with malignant transformation was counted. Transformed foci appeared in the positive material treated group, and it was confirmed that there was a statistically significant increase in the positive material treated group compared to the solvent control group. Before animal experiments for carcinogenicity detection, data from the Bhas 42 cell transformation assay may be considered, if available. In addition, cell transformation assay can morphologically confirm the carcinogenic effects at the initiation.

        소비자 관점에서 분석한 ICT 기반의 음식배달서비스 관련 특허 등록 현황

        Food environment has been going through significant changes with the introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This study was conducted to investigate the current development status of ICT related to food delivery service by analyzing the relevant registered patents according to consumer buying process. Patents registered between 2002 and 2016 were searched with ‘food’ and ‘delivery’ as main keywords through Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (www.kipris.or.kr). The search resulted in 624 patents among which 219 patents were related to food delivery service; 108 patents based on ICT were selected and analyzed. The patents were examined by applicant and year. The patents were classified into the six steps of consumer buying process: ‘need recognition’, ‘information search’, ‘evaluation’, ‘choice’, ‘purchase’, and ‘postpurchase evaluation’. Patents belonging to more than one step were coded to all the corresponding steps. The patents were registered mainly by domestic companies (50.9%) and individuals (35.2%), having shown dramatic increase of registration since 2012. Over 2/3 (67.6%) of the patents were related to the ‘purchase’ step. About 32% were associated with the 'information search' step. Approximately 18% of the patents were relevant to the 'evaluation' and 'choice’ steps, respectively. The numbers of patents related to the 'postpurchase evaluation (13.9%)’ and 'need recognition (12.0%)' steps were relatively low. The current ICTs related to food delivery service in Korea were largely associated with service providers' profit generation rather than consumers' benefit. There is still much room for technology development that could contribute to increasing consumers' benefit.

        어린이집 만 5세반 유아의 미술경험에 관한 현상학적 의미 탐색

        본 연구는 유아들이 미술경험을 어떻게 해석하고 수용하며 표현하는가에 대해 살펴보고 교실에서 이루어지는 미술경험의 의미를 드러내고자 하였다. 실제 실행되고 있는 미술경험을 심층적으로 탐색하여 만 5세 유아들의 관점을 확고히 하고 이해하 는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2016년 4월부터 12월까지 8개월 동안 만 5세반 3곳의 유아 53명, 교사 3명을 관찰하고 심층면담을 하며 벤 매넌의 해석학적 현상학 방법으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 만 5세반의 미술경험은 다른 자유 안에서의 누 림, 성숙과 순응으로 빚어지는 표현방법, 해석과 재현이 공존하는 작품세계, 그림거울 속에 있고 없는 자신, 구별되는 향유물로서 유아가 계획한 미술경험과 교사가 계획한 미술경험을 향유하는 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 미술경험이라는 현상을 그대 로 드러냄으로서 유아들의 미술경험에 대한 이해와 더불어 교육과정 개발과 수업개선, 교사의 인식 변화와 역량 개발 방향의 초석을 제공하였다는데 의의가 있다. This study was to examine how young children comprehend, accept and express their art experiences, and to reveal the meaning of art experiences which happen in the classroom. By exploring art experiences deeply that are practicing in the class, this study aimed to find out the viewpoints of 5-year-old children and to understand them. This study used Van Mannen s analytical phenomenology process. Participants were 53 5-year-old children and 3 their homeroom teachers from 3 daycare centers. As results, children enjoyed their planned art experiences and teacher planned art experiences as a distinctive enjoyment, the enjoyment in different freedom, the expression ways created by maturation and accommodation, the works world coexisted in interpretation and reproduction and the self which is and is not in the painting mirror. By revealing the practice of art experiences actually this study has a meaning to provide a corner stone of curriculum development, the change of teacher perception and empowerment in addition to the understanding for children s art experiences.

      • Interleaved FEC 방식 기반 IPTV 화질 개선에 관한 연구

        IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) 서비스는 현재 단 방향 채널을 사용하는 멀티캐스트 방식을 이용하므로 방송사업자의 스트림 서버와 사용자의 셋탑박스 사이의 망에서 발생하는 네트워크 에러는 방송 품질을 저하시킨다. 본 논문은 이에 대한 대책으로 FEC (Forward Error Correction) 기법을 상용 셋탑박스에 적용시켰고 특히 IPTV 서비스에서 발생하는 연속적인 네트워크 에러 복구에 적합한 Interleaved FEC 기법과 비교하여 그에 따른 화질 개선 효과에 대해 연구하였다.

        만 4세반 미술놀이에서 유아의 배움에 관한 현상학적 의미 탐색

        본 연구는 미술놀이에서 유아의 배움에 대한 경험을 살펴봄으로써 그 본질적 의미를 탐구하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 Van Manen의 해석학적 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 담임교사인 연구자가 만 4세반 유아 20명과 누리보조교사를 대상으로 참여관찰과 심층면담을 실시하여 전사본 및 현장노트, 문서, 사진 등 관련 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 실존체인 신체성, 시간성, 공간성, 관계성 차원에서 분석하였다. 그 결과 유아는 몸을 통해 배우는 능동적인 존재로서 친구와 교사와 더불어 직면한 상황을 해결하고 수용하며 배워갔다. 이 과정에서 유아는 예술적 배움의 기호를 만나 역동적으로 전환하며 새로운 아이디어를 생성하였고, 가상적, 실제적 맥락에서 내러티브를 구성하며 새롭게 해석한 것을 시각화하며 배움을 이뤄갔다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 미술놀이에서 유아의 배움을 드러내어 유아를 바라보는 관점과 교사의 역할을 제시하여 교육현장의 방향성을 제공한다. 미술놀이에서 교사는 유아가 몸을 통해 배워간다는 지평을 확장하고 유아가 역동적으로 실험하는 미술놀이를 활성화시켜야 한다는 것을 시사한다. 또한, 교사는 내러티브의 맥락에 따라 상호작용을 하고 유아의 개별성을 유념하며 기록 작업을 실시해야한다는 것을 시사한다. This study aimed to examine the experiences of children"s learning in art play and to explore the substantial meanings of the experiences. Based on van Manen’s phenomenological method, the researcher, who was also the classroom teacher, observed and interviewed 20 children and a sub-teacher in the class of 4-year-olds. Transcripts, fieldnotes, documents, and pictures were collected and analyzed based on the existential system-body, time, space, relationship. The results of the study showed that children actively learned through their body with their friends and teachers as they accepted and solved the problems in current situations. Throughout the process, the children generated new ideas as they met the artistic learning signs and participated in learning as they visualized new interpretations from the construction of narratives in both virtual and actual contexts. The results of the study revealed children’s learning in art play as well as the perspectives toward young children and teachers’ roles, and suggested the directions of education. The findings of the study imply that teachers should understand that children learn through their bodies and need to activate art play in which children make experiments dynamically. This study also suggests that teachers need to interact with children based on the contexts of narratives and document children’s individual learning.
