        근린생활권의 물리적 환경이 신체활동 목적의 공원이용에 미치는 영향

        Urban green space is a valuable community asset that can play an important role in promoting physical activity for health. Therefore, this study examined an association between the characteristics of neighborhood-based physical environment on park usage and physical activity. Geographic information system(GIS) was used to construct spatial data regarding the physical environments across Changwon-si. A questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain information about physical activity in the parks. Binary logistic regression models was used to examine the relationship between the characteristics of physical environments and physical activity in the urban parks. The individual variables, such as mixed land use, ratio of road, sidewalk, pedestrian crossing, intersections density, number of park and park entrance(odds ratio between 1.058 and 2.432, p≤O.1), and network and the shortest distances to park(odds ratio between 0.998 and 0.999, p≤O.Ol) were associated with odds of park-based physical activity. The binary logistic regression model was developed to explain the influence of four factors, accessibility and availability of park, convenience of walking route to park, and abundance of park area derived with factor analysis on park usage for physical activity.

      • Analysis of monitoring Road-kill in Odaesan National Park

        We surveyed mammalian roadkill at the National Route 6 (Jin-gogae to Songcheon, 18㎞) and a local road 446 (Odaesan National Park office to Sangwon-temple, 12㎞) in Odaesan National Park. Data of the surveys were analyzed by year, month, and species. Roadkills of 226 individuals were found at the survey areas. Of them, the road-killed 131 mammal individuals, 44 bird individuals, 40 reptile individual and 11 amphibian individuals were found during the survey period. High ratio of the road-kills was observed in mammals than the other animals. Among mammalian species, high ratio of the road-kills was observed in squirrels. There were road-kills of three endangered species, containing otters, yellow-throated marten and leopard cats. According to the analyses of annual road-kills, roadkills of 104 cases were occurred and highly frequent in 2014, following by roadkills of 81 cases in 2015, and then those of 41 cases in 2016. Most ases of the roadkills occurred in summer (June to September). The results will contribute to establishing management for reduction of roadkill in Odaesan National Park.

        공동주택 주차장의 축적먼지 중 미량원소성분 분석과 오염원 평가

        공동주택 주차장의 먼지오염실태를 연구하기 위하여 2010년 3월말에서 6월초까지 대구지역 공동주택 36곳의 지상주차장(36지점)과 지하주차장(36지점)을 대상으로 채취한 총 72개의 시료를 100 μm 이하로 체거름하고 산추출한 후 ICP로 14개원소를 분석하였다. 농축계수를 이용한 미량원소성분의 발생원 평가결과는 지상주차장과 지하주차장 모두 Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, V의 성분은 자연적인 발생원에 의한 영향을 받고 있는 반면에 Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn의 성분은 인위적인 발생원에 의한 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 Ca은 지상주차장의 경우에는 자연적인 발생원의 영향을 받았고, 지하주차장의 경우에는 인위적인 발생원의 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 미량원소성분의 농도분석 결과는 자연적인 발생원과 관련된 성분이 인위적인 발생원과 관련된 성분보다 매우 높은 농도를 보였다. 인위적인 발생원성분의 기여도는 지하주차장이 지상주차장보다 높았으며, 미량원소성분의 평균농도 또한 지하주차장이 지상주차장보다 높았다. 오염지수를 이용한 중금속성분의 오염도를 평가한결과는 지하주차장이 지상주차장보다 5.5배정도 높게 오염된 것으로 나타났다. 미량원소성분간의 상관성 분석결과는 지상주차장이 지하주차장에 비해 유의한 상관성을 나타내는 항목이 많았으며, 특히 자연적 발생원 성분간 유의한 상관성이 더욱 크게 나타났다. 또한 유해 중금속성분과 지하주차장의 영향인자간의 상관성을 분석한 결과는 주차대수(공간)가 적은 지점이 큰 지점보다, 환기장치를 가동하지 않은 지점이 가동한 지점보다, 그리고 최근 도색년도와 청소일이 오래된 지점이 상대적으로 유해중금속을 많이 함유하고 있었다. In order to investigate the degree of apartment parking lot dust contamination, total 72 samples of parking lot dust (36 from ground parking lots and 36 from the underground parking lots) were collected in Daegu city from the end of March to the early June 2010. The dust samples were sieved below 100 μm, and analysed by ICP for 14 elements after an acid extraction. Results obtained from the source assessment of trace element using enrichment factor showed that Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na and V were influenced by natural sources, while Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn were influenced by anthropogenic sources in both the ground parking lot and the underground parking lot. And results showed that Ca were influenced by natural sources in the ground parking lot, but influenced by anthropogenic sources in the underground parking lot. The measured values were remarkably higher in components from natural sources than in components from anthropogenic sources. Underground parking lot dust was more affected by anthropogenic sources and contaminated compared with the ground parking lot dust. Pollution index of heavy metals revealed that underground parking lot dust was 5.5 times more contaminated with heavy metal components than the ground parking lot dust. The results of correlation analysis among trace elements indicated that components in the ground parking lot were more correlated than those in the underground parking lot, and especially more correlated with natural sources-natural sources. Analysis for correlations between components and influencing factors in the underground parking lot showed that concentrations of heavy metals were higher with smaller number of parking spaces and no ventilation system, and older apartments in last paint and cleaning had relatively higher contents of heavy metals than those of recently painted and cleaned.

        <P>Mining activities have caused serious environmental problems including acid mine drainage (AMD), the dispersion of mine tailings and dust, and extensive mine waste. In particular, AMD contaminates soil and water downstream of mines and generally contains mainly valuable metals such as Cu, Zn, and Ni as well as Fe and Al. In this study, we investigated the selective recovery of Fe, Al, Cu, Zn, and Ni from AMD. First, the speciation of Fe, Al, Cu, Zn, and Ni as a function of the equilibrium solution pH was simulated by Visual MINTEQ. Based on the simulation results, the predicted pHs for the selective precipitation of Fe, Al, Cu, and Zn/Ni were determined. And recovery yield of metals using simulation is over 99 %. Experiments using artificial AMD based on the simulation results confirmed the selective recovery of Fe, Al, Cu, and Zn/Ni, and the recovery yields of Fe/Al/Cu/Zn and Fe/Al/Cu/Ni mixtures using Na2CO3 were 99.6/86.8/71.9/77.0 % and 99.2/85.7/73.3/86.1 %, respectively. After then, the simulation results were applied to an actual AMD for the selective recovery of metals, and the recovery yields of Fe, Al, Cu, and Zn using NaOH were 97.2, 74.9, 66.9, and 89.7 %, respectively. Based on the results, it was concluded that selective recovery of dissolved metals from AMD is possible by adjusting the solution pH using NaOH or Na2CO3 as neutralizing agents.</P>

        Fast Start-Up Decision Feedback Equalizer Based on Channel Estimation for 8VSB DTV System

        <P>This paper presents a robust fast start-up decision feedback equalizer (DFE) based on channel estimation for eight-level vestigial sideband digital television (8VSB DTV) system. We propose two techniques to achieve the fast start-up equalization without an error propagation. The first one is a channel estimation scheme, which consists of a tap-selected correlation and a modified least-mean-square algorithm, to estimate accurately long and complex channels. The second one is a general training DFE (GT-DFE) to overcome the shortage of a training sequence in the VSB signal. The GT-DFE calculates the coefficients of the DFE prior to the equalization with the knowledge of the channel estimation, reference tap (symbol timing of DFE) and its position, i.e., decision delay, in the feedforward filter (FFF). Simulation results show that the proposed channel estimation scheme provides a reliable performance comparable to that of conventional schemes. It is also shown that a GT-DFE-based DFE provides 7dB~9 dB higher start-up signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) as compared to the DFE without the GT-DFE in severe channels. Moreover, the GT-DFE-based DFE provides a faster convergence speed as much as 2.4times10<SUP>6</SUP>~6times10 <SUP>6</SUP> symbols to converge within 1 dB of the final SINR as compared to the DFE without the GT-DFE</P>

        Baseline correction using asymmetrically reweighted penalized least squares smoothing

        <P>Baseline correction methods based on penalized least squares are successfully applied to various spectral analyses. The methods change the weights iteratively by estimating a baseline. If a signal is below a previously fitted baseline, large weight is given. On the other hand, no weight or small weight is given when a signal is above a fitted baseline as it could be assumed to be a part of the peak. As noise is distributed above the baseline as well as below the baseline, however, it is desirable to give the same or similar weights in either case. For the purpose, we propose a new weighting scheme based on the generalized logistic function. The proposed method estimates the noise level iteratively and adjusts the weights correspondingly.       • Cyclo(Phe-Pro) Modulates the Expression of ompU in Vibrio spp

        <B>ABSTRACT</B><P><I>Vibrio vulnificus</I> was found to produce a chemical that induced the expression of <I>Vibrio fischeri lux</I> genes. Electron spray ionization-mass spectrometry and <SUP>1</SUP>H nuclear magnetic resonance analyses indicated that the compound was cyclo(l-Phe-l-Pro) (cFP). The compound was produced at a maximal level when cell cultures reached the onset of stationary phase. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel analysis of the total proteins of <I>V. vulnificus</I> indicated that expression of OmpU was enhanced by exogenously added synthetic or purified cFP. A <I>toxR</I>-null mutant failed to express <I>ompU</I> despite the addition of cFP. The related <I>Vibrio</I> spp. <I>V. cholerae</I>, <I>V. parahaemolyticus</I>, and <I>V. harveyi</I> also produced cFP, which induced the expression of their own <I>ompU</I> genes. cFP also enhanced the expression in <I>V. cholerae</I> of the <I>ctx</I> genes, which are known to be regulated by ToxR. Our results suggest that cFP is a signal molecule controlling the expression of genes important for the pathogenicity of <I>Vibrio</I> spp.</P>

        The Application of Nondestructive Methods for Degradation Evaluation of Modified 9Cr-1Mo Steel

        <P>The nondestructive evaluation technique for the material degradation is necessary because of the limitation of conventional destructive methods. In this study, an ultrasonic velocity measurement method was attempted for the estimation of the creep damage of degraded modified 9Cr-1Mo steel. The specimens with seven different kinds of aging periods were prepared by an isothermal heat treatment at 690 . The ultrasonic velocity was measured by an immersion method. The correlation between the measured ultrasonic velocity and tensile properties were studied. The ultrasonic velocity has an declining tendency with the increase of heat treatment time. A correlation between the ultrasonic velocity and aging parameter were established, which allows one to estimate the material degradation of modified 9Cr-1Mo steel.</P>
