        Free radical scavengers or quenching agents for reactive oxygen species(ROS) present in consumable fruits, vegetables, and beverages have received considerable attention as potential antioxidants, and thus uses for treatment of several human diseases. In this study, grapevine shoot extract(GSE) containing high concentration of resveratrol and viniferine was evaluated for antioxidant potential and inhibition of pro-inflam-matory medicator production. Utilizing 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) scavenging activity and xanthine oxidase(XOD) inhibition assay the GSE showed inhibitory effects of DPPH radical scavenging and XOD activity with the IC_50 values of 34.5 ad 155㎍/ml, respectively. In addition, GSE also exhibited the inhibition of prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2) and nitric oxide(NO) production in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced mouse macrophage RAW264.7 cells with the IC_50 value of 6.4 and 14.5 ㎍/ml, respectively. This suggests that grapevine shoot extract has the potential activity as a natural antioxidant or antiinflammatory agent.

        각종 소화성질환에서의 Campylobacter Pylori의 검출에 관하여

        Peptic disorders are among the most common maladies in korea as the world. In most cases their etiologies not be established and their pathophysioolgy remain obscure. Although the persence of fastric bacteria has been logn established, recently campylobacter pylori seems to be etiologic agent of peptic disorders. Campylobacter pylori is visualized in most cases of peptic disorders and not visualized after treatment of bctericidal agents, bismuth compound or metronidazole. We had a following results for identification of campylocacter pylori in stomach and duodenal mcuosa via endoscipc biopsy. 1. We studied 54 patients who had dyspeptic symptoms, 29 males. 2. Most patients are in 5th decades, next in 3rd and 6th in order. 3. Ptients were composed of 27 peptic ulcer, 22 gastitis and 5 gastric carcinoma. 4. Campylobacter pylori was identified in 69% of total patients, peptic ulcer 63%, gastritis 77%, stomach carcinoma leastly.

      • 특이섭동 시스템의 적응제어 및 시뮬레이션

        The pseudo-plant contains a model whose order is determined by the controller order. The given plant is identified by a higher order identifier, and then reduced to the controller order by means of the singular perturbation concept. The plant, the chosen model, and a filter constitute the pseudo-plant. For the implementation of the adaptive controller, a design guideline of the filter is proposed. As the plant model is chosen by a reliable procedure, choosing the filter to have the same frequency characteristics of the chosen model might be a good policy. Simulation results show the effectiveness fo proposed method.

        법랑질에 대한 total etching과 self-etching 접착제의 산부식 효과와 미세인장결합강도

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the etching effects and bond strength of total etching and self-etching adhesive system on unground enamel using scanning electron microscopy and microtensile bond strength test. The buccal coronal unground enamel from human extracted molars were prepared using low-speed diamond saw. Scotchbond Multi-Purpose (group SM), Clearfil SE Bond (group SE), or Adper Prompt L-Pop (group LP) were applied to the prepared teeth, and the blocks of resin composite (Filtek Z250) were built up incrementally. Resin tag formation was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy, after removal of enamel surface by acid dissolution and dehydration. For microtensile bond strength test, resin-bonded teeth were sectioned to give a bonded surface area of 1㎟. Microtensile bond strength test was perfomed. The results of this study were as follows. 1. A definite etching pattern was observed in Scotchbond Multi-Purpose group. 2. Self-etching groups were characterized as shallow and irregular etching patterns. 3. The results (mean) of microtensile bond strength were SM; 26.55 MPa, SE; 18.15 MPa, LP; 15.57 MPa. SM had significantly higher microtensile bond strength than SE and PL (p〈0.05), but there was no significant difference between SE and PL.

      • 기계적 합금화에 의한 Al-Fe 및 Al-Fe-Ce 합금의 고온 변형거동

        The deformation behavior of a mechanical alloyed Al-Fe and Al-Fe-Ce alloy was studied in the temperature range of 300℃ to 500℃. The steady state for Al-8wt.%Fe powder was obtained after 1000 minutes of mechanical alloying at the process condition of 2wt.% stearic acid, 46:1 of grinding media/powder weight ratio, and 300 rpm of impeller revolving velocity. The relative densities of Al-8wt.%Fe alloy powders reached almost 100% after 1 hour sintering at 470℃ under vacuum state. With increasing the amount of PCA, hardness of the sintered alloys increased but the relative densities were not affected. It was also found that decrease in hardness and tensile strength after high temperature aging treatment was reduced with increasing the amount of Ce addition.

        This study examined the key success factors and the degree of industry attractiveness in the TFT-LCD industries. The five competitive force factors include: barriers o entry, industry rivalry, threat of substitutes, supplier power and buyer power. As the result of this study, it was found that the key success factors were customer needs, high screen quality, low price, high performance, convenience and stability concerning with display device. This study provides another link in the chain of understanding of the industry attractiveness and key success factors in the TFT-LCD markets.

        아로마테라피가 여대생의 생리통 및 월경곤란증에 미치는 효과 : A Blind Randomized Clinical Trial

        This study was designed to verify the effect of aromatherapy on menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea by a quasi experiment (nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design), from March to October, 2000. The subjects of this experiment consisted of 45 college women with menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea. They were randomized by 25 for the experimental group and 20 for the control group. Their mean age was 20.6 years, mean menstrual period 28.7 days, mean menstrual cramps(VAS) 7.25, mean dysmenorrhea (Dysmenorrhea Scale) was 27.34. As treatment, aromatherapy was to give effleurrage of the abdomen with lavender, clary sage and rose as aroma oil, almond oil as carrier oil. For the control group, abdominal massage was given with only almond oil. Data collection included menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea, the change of symptoms(low abdominal pain, lumbago headache, nausea, fatigue, edema). Menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea and general, menstrual characteristics of subjects were measured the first day of the pre menstrual period before treatment (pre-test), menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea, the change of symptoms were measured the first and second day of post menstrual period after treatment (posttest). Data were analyzed by t-test. χ2 - test, repeated measures ANOYA, Cronbach's α with SAS Program. The results of this study was as follows ; 1.Menstrual cramps was significantly lower in the experimental group(p = .001). 2.Dysmenorrhea was significantly lower in the experimental group(p = .027). 3.Less women in the experimental group complained about the six symptoms than women in the control group after treatment on the first day of the menstrual period(p〈 0.05. p 〈 0.01) In conclusion, these findings indicate that aromatherapy with lavender, clary sage, and rose could be effective to decrease menstrual cramps, and dysmenorrhea. So, aromatherapy could be applied to women suffering with menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea periodically as an nursing intervention.

      • 실내화재시 연기층의 온도분포에 관한 실험적 연구

        The objective of this research is to study the temperature profiles of smoke layer in case of fires such as trashcan, carpet, mattress and wardrobe as a fire starter in a residential room by performing the experimental studies. The uniformly distributed fire in case of carpet showed that the ignition and the initial growth period were relatively short while the fully developed period was considerably long. The concentrated fires such as the trashcan, mattress and wardrobe showed that the ignitions and the initial growth periods were relatively long. The descending speed of the interface height was proportioned to the inflammability of the furniture and the spread of the fire. The time required to come down around 1 m was within 1 - 3 minutes. The interface heights were around 1 m as the steady state. However, at the time of the maximum temperature, the interface height was lowered to 0.25 m - 0.75 m from the floor. The carbon dioxide concentration reached the highest while the oxygen concentration was minimum..

      • SAPO-34 분자체의 Pd(Ⅰ) 화학 종의 구조 및 반응성에 관한 EPR 및 ESEM 분광학적 연구

        SAPO-34를 합성하는 동안에 Pd(NH3)4Cl2를 가하여 생성된 PdH-SAPO-34를 탈수 및 산화 환원과정을 진행하고 여기에 O2 흡착제와의 상호작용을 (S)PdH-SAPO-34와 (i)PdH-SAPO-34을 비교 연구하였다. (S)와 (i)는 각각 고체상 이온교환 반응과 액체상 이온교환 반응을 나타낸다. 전자 상자기 공명(EPR) 및 전자 스핀-이코 분광법(ESEM)은 2개의 다르게 합성한 시료에 대하여 거의 같다. 600℃에서 활성화된 시료에서는 3 개의 다른 Pd(I) 화학 종이 관측되었다. : 공통적인 gⅡ = 2.92를 갖고 3 개의 수직 성분 A1(gㅗ = 2.18) A2(gㅗ = 2.14)와 A3(gㅗ = 2.07) 를 갖으며 외부 골격에 3 개의 양이온 자리가 있음을 의미한다. Oxygen blowing 실험과 인-모듈화 실험을 근거로 A1은 육각 프리즘의 중심 site Ⅲ, A2는 가장 정관하기 쉬운 8 원환 창 가까이에 있는 sixte IV이고 A3는 6원환 창에서 타원형 주머니(ellipsoidal cage)로 이동한 site I로 지정하였다.
