        이종접합 Gate 구조를 갖는 수평형 NiO/Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> FET의 전기적 특성 연구

        Gallium Oxide (Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) is preferred as a material for next generation power semiconductors. The Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> should solve the disadvantages of low thermal resistance characteristics and difficulty in forming an inversion layer through p-type ion implantation. However, Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> is difficult to inject p-type ions, so it is being studied in a heterojunction structure using p-type oxides, such as NiO, SnO, and Cu<sub>2</sub>O. Research the lateral-type FET structure of NiO/Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> heterojunction under the Gate contact using the Sentaurus TCAD simulation. At this time, the VG-ID and VD-ID curves were identified by the thickness of the Epi-region (channel) and the doping concentration of NiO of 1 × 10<sup>17</sup> to 1 × 10<sup>19</sup> cm<sup>-3</sup>. The increase in Epi region thickness has a lower threshold voltage from -4.4 V to -9.3 V at I<sub>D</sub> = 1 × 10<sup>-8</sup> mA/mm, as current does not flow only when the depletion of the PN junction extends to the Epi/Sub interface. As an increase of NiO doping concentration, increases the depletion area in Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> region and a high electric field distribution on PN junction, and thus the breakdown voltage increases from 512 V to 636 V at I<sub>D</sub> =1 × 10<sup>-3</sup> A/mm.

      • 박주가리(Metaplexis japonica Makino)의 캘러스유도와 조직별 gagaminine의 함량분석

        In order to produce antioxidantic gagaminine from the plant and cell culture of Metaplexis japonica Makino, induction rate of callus with plant growth regulators was investigated and gagaminine from the various tissues and calli was analyzed using HPLC assay. when the callus from leaf tissue was used on MS medium, induction rate was highest (63.0%). the optimal concentrations of 2,4-D for callus induction of leaf, stern and petiole were 2.0, 0.5 and 0.1 mg/L, respectively. The content of gaganinine in the plant was abundant in the tissue of stem, leaf, and root in order. However, the highest gagaminine content was found in the callus from petiole (0.276 mg/mL) and its content was 12 times higher than that in the stem tissue (0.023 mg/mL) of the intact plant. This result suggests that gagaminine might be produced using the cell culture in vitro in Metaplexis japonica Makino.

        mRNA-centric semantic modeling for finding molecular signature of trace chemical in human blood

        The vast quantities of information on toxicogenomics such as genome sequence, genotype, gene expression, phenotype, disease information, etc. are reflected in scientific literature. However, these various and heterogeneous data has to be reconstructed by proper data model to enhance our understanding. This study suggests a semantic modeling to organize heterogeneous data types and introduces techniques and concepts such as ontologies, semantic objects, typed relationships, contexts, graphs, and information layers. These concepts were used to represent complex biochemical networks relationship. The semantic modeling tool is used as an example to demonstrate how a domain such as risk assessment is represented and how this representation is utilized for research. In this work, we show focusing on mRNA centric semantic model as a representative. From experimental data, text-mining results and public databases we generate mRNA-centric semantic modeling and demonstrate its use by mining specific molecular networks together. Application of semantic modeling: 1. Common DEGs which are differentially expressed mRNA by VOCs are identified. 2. Diseases and biological processes associated with common DEGs are identified. 3. Finally subjects associated with common disease, biological process and DEGs are identified.

        Metabolic Pathways Associated with Kimchi, a Traditional Korean Food, Based on In Silico Modeling of Published Data

        Kimchi is a traditional Korean food prepared by fermenting vegetables, such as Chinese cabbage and radishes, which are seasoned with various ingredients, including red pepper powder, garlic, ginger, green onion, fermented seafood (Jeotgal), and salt. The various unique microorganisms and bioactive components in kimchi show antioxidant activity and have been associated with an enhanced immune response, as well as anti-cancer and anti-diabetic effects. Red pepper inhibits decay due to microorganisms and prevents food from spoiling. The vast amount of biological information generated by academic and industrial research groups is reflected in a rapidly growing body of scientific literature and expanding data resources. However, the genome, biological pathway, and related disease data are insufficient to explain the health benefits of kimchi because of the varied and heterogeneous data types. Therefore, we have constructed an appropriate semantic data model based on an integrated food knowledge database and analyzed the functional and biological processes associated with kimchi in silico. This complex semantic network of several entities and connections was generalized to answer complex questions, and we demonstrated how specific disease pathways are related to kimchi consumption.

        Novel data archival system for multi-omics data of human exposure to harmful substances

        Background Exposure to harmful environmental substances influences lifelong health, but the molecular interpretation of how it affects human health is poorly understood. Therefore, a framework that can efficiently apply the major technologies and fields related to exposomes is needed, as it would provide an important tool for the identification of the environmental factors affecting human health. Object We aimed to develop a system that integrates multi-omics data and archives this information to ensure that omics analysis information can be utilised to understand the molecular phenotypical concerns associated with exposure to harmful environmental substances in humans. Result We established a data archive system called Online Resource of Environmental Omics (OREO) that standardises multi-omics cohort sample data of humans exposed to harmful environmental substances; integrates unstructured data; and can search, share, and store information. In addition, data profiling is provided to ensure that it can be applied to integrated omics analysis visualisation tools such as cBioportal. In the case of long-term exposure to low concentrations of harmful environmental substances, an integrated analysis of clinical observation and omics data could be performed. Conclusion We provide a brief account of multi-omics data repositories, the data processing method, and an analysis pipeline for the application of omics data. This data processing ability helps to comprehensively understand multi-omics data regarding harmful environmental substances.

        지식은폐 행동이 창의성에 미치는 영향 - 성별 조절효과를 중심으로

        Artificial intelligence, robotics, and so forth. The era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution can be a new opportunity for someone and a threat to someone else. This environmental change emphasizes the importance of human resources within an organization. The diverse ideas, knowledge, and know-how of various employees in an organization can only be owned by that organization, and many organizations want their employees to actively share their knowledge and know-how. But unlike that expectation, employees often act to hide their knowledge and know-how intentionally. This action may degrade the organizational performance as well as lower the creativity of the individual doing the hiding. Creativity can also be manifested through diversity. Many organizations try to express creativity through organizational diversity. In this study, we investigated whether the knowledge hiding behaviors differ according to gender, creativity, which is the most important factor in the 4th industrial revolution era, how the knowledge hiding affects creativity, This study examined whether the effect of gender on the creativity is moderating effect. The results of this study are as follows. First, It was found that there was a significant difference between the male and female behaviors of the playing dumb behaviors in the subscale of knowledge hiding behaviors. In other words, women behave more like ‘playing dumb’ than men. Second, it was found that the behaviors and behaviors of the knowledge hiding behaviors were negatively related to creativity. Finally, Gender has a moderating effect in the relationship between the knowledge hiding(evasive hiding/the rationalized hiding behavior) and creativity. But the direction turned out to be different. In other words, the decrease in creativity, a dependent variable resulting from an increase in evasive behavior, has been shown to be greater in males than females, and in rationalized hiding behavior, the reduction in creativity, compared to rationalized hiding behavior. This can be said to be a result of confirming once again that men and women are different, demonstrating the importance of developing women human resources.

        비만 관련 SNP genotype-phenotype 정보기반의 맞춤 식단옴 추천

        전 세계적으로 비만인구의 증가로 인해 경제적 부담이 확대되고 있으며, 그 원인으로 육체적 활동의 감소 및 식이관리의 실패가 손꼽히고 있다. 영양성분 및 칼로리를 기반으로 한 맞춤 식단정보 제공 시스템과는 차별적으로 본 연구는 개인 맞춤형 기능성 식품을 추천하기 위해 비만 관련 SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) 정보를 활용하였다. 본 연구를 위해 GWAS (Genome-wide association study) 분석을 수행하여 한국인 특이적인 비만 관련 SNP을 발굴하고, 이를 활용하여 유전적 정보를 입력하여 SNP genoype-phenoype 정보에 따른 맞춤 식단옴을 추천하였다. 또한 USDA (The United States Department of Agriculture) 식품 정보를 활용할 수 있도록 식품 통합 Database를 구축하여 식단 추천에 적용하였다. 그 결과, 표현형 정보 BMI (Body Mass Index)는 정상 수치를 가지고 있으나, 비만 관련 SNP 정보를 가지고 있는 샘플은 유전적 비만 위험도를 나타내어 식이관리가 필요하다는 정보를 확인하였으며, 관련 식품 정보를 제공하였다. 따라서 표현형에 따른 비만에 관한 정보와 유전형 정보가 일치하는 것은 아니며, 이는 표현형적 정보만을 이용한 비만 관리 식이 추천에는 한계가 있음을 의미하며 이러한 결과는 비만외 다른 성인병들에도 적용이 필요하며 이를 위해서는 표현형-유전적 통합정보를 기반 한 맞춤식이 추천이 필요함을 나타내었다. Obesity extends the global economic burden and it causes that the failure of a reduction of physical activity, and diet management. In this work, nutritional information and personalized diet based on calorie supply system and is discriminatory utilized the obesity-related SNP information in order to recommend a personalized functional foods. This study performed a GWAS analysis for the excavation of a Korean-specific and obesity-related SNP, which utilizes genetic information were recommended by entering a personalized diet in accordance with the SNP genotype-phenotype information. In addition, we integrated Database with relation of nutrient for utilizing the USDA Food information and it was applied to recommend with Sickdanome. As a result, the obesity-related SNP information was confirmed in the sample which has the normal value BMI. In this study, we have recognized that the phenotype information related obesity, BMI is inconsistent with the SNP genotype information. This result is shown that it is necessary to provide the personalized dietary SickdanOme recommendation based on the both pheotype-genotype information.

        Immunohistochemical study of the distribution of sodium-dependent vitamin C transporters in adult rat brain

        <P>Sodium-dependent vitamin C transporters (SVCTs) is known to transport the reduced form of ascorbic acid into the cell, whereas the oxidized form of vitamin C (VC) is moved through a facilitative sugar transporter, such as glucose transporter (GLUT). With regard to the distribution of SVCT1 and -2 within the various organs, they were reported to be expressed in different types of cells. Especially in the central nervous system, only SVCT2 mRNA was expressed mainly in neurons and some types of neuroglial cells. However, data on the expression of SVCT proteins in the brain are scant. Therefore, we tried to develop comprehensive data on the distribution of SVCT proteins in adult rat brain by using immunohistochemical techniques for the first time. In our study, SVCT2 immunoreactivities (IRs) were intensely localized in the neurons of cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and Purkinje cells of cerebellum, and much weaker SVCT2 IRs were found in the other brain regions. Judging from double-immunohistochemical data, most of the cells expressing SVCT2 IRs were likely to be neurons or microglia, even though the cells in choroids plexus or ependymal cells around the ventricles also exhibited SVCT2 IRs. Complete mapping of the distribution of SVCT2 IRs was available by using a semiquantitative method. The subcellular localization of SVCT proteins is necessary for understanding the exact role of the protein, so the current overall mapping of SVCT IRs in the rat brain could be the basis for further studies on related subjects. © 2006 Wiley-Liss, Inc.</P>
