Recently, as interest in healthcare increases, research on image-based health diagnosis programs is increasing. In particular, network models that measure heart rates based on facial images are increasing, but it is difficult to determine which face areas should be exposed during actual use with different face areas as a focus. In addition, since the information used for healthcare and facial images are important personal information, it is important to calculate the accurate heart rate with as little exposure as possible. In this paper, we conduct an experiment on the ROI region that can increase SNR in a contactless heart rate measurement method using a 2D camera and discuss the results. Each ROI area was redefined using facial feature points, and it was found that there was a specific area with relatively high accuracy.
Development of minoxidil-loaded double emulsion PLGA nanoparticles for the treatment of hair loss

Topical administration of minoxidil (MXD) on the skin is a widely used method for the treatment of hairloss. To enhance the efficacy of MXD in human skin, the appendageal route through the hair follicle couldbe promising. Therefore, we developed MXD-loaded double emulsion nanoparticles (MXD-DE-NPs) usingpoly (D,L-lactide-co-glycolide; PLGA) and surfactants. The size of MXD-DE-NPs was 137.8 ± 0.814 nm andtheir encapsulation efficiency of MXD was approximately 43%. The MXD-DE-NPs showed no aggregationin aqueous conditions at 1% w/v MXD concentration without ethanol and propylene glycol. In human folliculardermal papilla cells, the NPs showed fast cellular uptake and no significant toxicity. After treatmenton the skin of shaved mice, efficient skin penetration of the NPs could be observed onfluorescence imaging. NP treatment for three weeks resulted in efficient regrowth of hair in mice withoutethanol and propylene glycol similar to the traditional MXD formula. These results demonstrated thatMXD-DE-NPs are a promising carrier for MXD in the treatment of hair loss.
비접촉 심박수 추정을 위한 파장 대역별 광학 이미징 연구 동향 조사

This paper presents a comprehensive survey of research trends in optical imaging techniques, particularly focusing on the potential of hyperspectral imaging, for non-contact heart rate estimation. The study discusses the relationship between rPPG signal quality and wavelength bands, the advantages and limitations of RGB, near-infrared, and hyperspectral imaging, as well as state-of-the-art signal processing and deep learning-based methods. Furthermore, the importance of analyzing rPPG performance and SNR across different wavelength bands using hyperspectral imaging is emphasized. The findings aim to contribute to the advancement of remote healthmonitoring systems.
