The defroser must meet the certification laws that secure the driver’s vision and the automotive manufacturers’ pattern marketability standards. In order to reduce the cost and time loss incurred in the process of improving the performance, equipment for pre-validation and improvement evaluation as a cockpit module is required before the vehicle evaluation. In order to secure a defrost pattern similar to that of a vehicle, the factors influencing the vehicle cabin were derived and analyzed. Analysis of the six previously selected cabin defrost pattern factors was performed through thermal image analysis, and it was confirmed that the cabin sealing condition was a factor with a large influence. Based on the results of this study, the equipment that secured the defrost pattern consistency of more than 95% with the vehicle was manufactured by reflecting the selected factors.
