N-glycosylation is one of the major post-translational protein modifications, which alters physicochemical properties of the protein, affecting the folding, distribution, stability and thus biological function and efficiency of protein. Although the earlier steps in the N-glycosylation pathway leading to the formation of oligomannosidic structures are conserved in plants and mammals, the later steps in the formation of complex N-glycans are quite different from each other. In particular, plant type complex N-glycans are distinctive from those found in mammalian because they contain β 1,2-xylose and core α1,3-fucose residues attached to pentasaccharide (Man3GlcNAc2) core structure but no sialic acid residues. The presence of β1,2-xylose and core α1,3-fucose residues on plant type complex N-glycans has long been an irritating limitation in the use of plant-made pharmaceuticals (PMPs) in human therapy, as these N-glycan epitopes are potentially immunogenic in mammals. In this study, to remove the plant specific sugar residues and humanize the N-glycosylation in plant, we isolated mutants of the corresponding plant specific glycosyltransferase genes and used for multiple-mutants construction. The resulting mutants will be transformed by human glycosyltransferases genes to accomplish humanized N-glycosylation in plant.

<B>Objective</B><P>Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 (HNRNPA1), serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 1 (SRSF1), and SRSF3 are splicing regulators associated with oncogenesis. However, the alterations of SF proteins and their diagnostic values in cervical cancer are unclear. To apply SFs clinically, effective marker selection and characterization of the target organ properties are essential.</P><B>Materials and Methods</B><P>We concurrently analyzed HNRNPA1, SRSF1, SRSF3, and the conventional tumor markers squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in cervical tissue samples (n = 127) using semiquantitative immunoblotting. In addition, we compared them with p16 (cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A [CDKN2A]), which has shown high diagnostic efficacy in immunohistochemical staining studies and has been proposed as a candidate protein for point-of-care screening biochemical tests of cervical neoplasia.</P><B>Results</B><P>HNRNPA1, higher molecular weight forms of SRSF1 (SRSF1-HMws), SRSF3, CEA, and p16 levels were higher (<I>P</I> < 0.05) in cervical carcinoma tissue samples than in nontumoral cervical tissue samples. However, the levels of SRSF1-Total (sum of SRSF1-HMws and a lower molecular weight form of SRSF1) and SCCA, a commonly used cervical tumor marker, were not different between carcinoma and nontumoral tissue samples. In paired sample comparisons, HNRNPA1 (94%) showed the highest incidence of up-regulation (carcinoma/nontumor, >1.5) in cervical carcinoma, followed by p16 (84%), SRSF1-HMws (69%), SRSF3 (66%), CEA (66 %), SCCA (32%), and SRSF1-Total (31%). HNRNPA1 (92%) and p16 (91%) presented the two highest diagnostic accuracies for cervical carcinoma, which were superior to those of SRSF3 (75%), SRSF1-HMws (72%), CEA (72%), SCCA (59%), and SRSF1-Total (55%).</P><B>Conclusions</B><P>Our results identified that HNRNPA1 is the best diagnostic marker among the SFs and conventional markers given its excellent diagnostic efficacy for cervical carcinoma, and it has a p16-comparable diagnostic value. We suggest that HNRNPA1 is an additional effective target protein for developing cervical cancer detection tools.</P>
세계시민교육 대학 강좌개설 지원사업의 추진 성과와 과제

본 연구는 대학 수준에서 세계시민교육 강좌가 개설되어야 한다는 필요에 부응하여, 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원에 의해 4년 간 추진된「세계시민교육 강좌개설 지원사업」을 종합적으로 분석하고 과제를 탐색할 목적으로 수행되었다. 문헌 분석, 성과 공유 워크숍 참여, 전문가 자문 등의 연구 방법을 토대로 지원사업을 강좌 개설 측면, 강좌 운영 측면, 강좌의 학습효과 및 만족도 세 가지 영역으로 구분하여 실태와 성과 및 한계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 지원사업은 총 21개 대학의 학생 1,572명이 참여한 33개 강좌를 통해서 세계시민교육에 대한 대학들의 관심도를 제고하고, 다양한 주제와 교수진, 교수학습방법으로 학생들에게 의미 있는 학습 경험을 제공한 성과를 거둔 것으로 확인하였다. 그러나 강의 규모의 제약, 대학 간 격차, 학습효과 관리 도구의 미흡 등은 성과를 제약하는 한계점으로 분석되었다. 이후 세계시민교육이 지속가능한 방식으로 발전하기 위해 필요한 과제를 사업의 양적 확산 방안과 질적 내실화 방안으로 구분하여 제시하였다. This study seeks to analyze the achievements and tasks of the「GCED University Course Development Project」promoted by APCEIU. Using such research methods as literature review, workshops, and expert consultation, we analyzed the four-year project surrounding course providers, course contents, and student learning and satisfaction. The findings show that the project has heightened universities’ interest in GCED through 33 courses involving 1,572 students from 21 universities. It was also confirmed that a variety of supports allowed students to have meaningful learning experiences. However, large class sizes, disparity among universities, and the absence of performance measuring tools seemed to limit the success of the project. As a strategy for overcoming these limitations, we suggested the tasks in terms of both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
학교의 전문적 학습공동체가 역량함양 교육활동에 미치는 영향 : 과정중심평가 연수의 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 학교의 전문적 학습공동체와 학교의 역량함양 교육활동 간의 영향관계 및 이 두 변수 간의 관계에 있어서 과정중심평가 연수가 갖는 조절효과를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국교육종단연구 2013의 5차년도(2017년) 학교 조사 결과 가운데 결측치를 제외한 1,045개 학교의 응답 자료를 토대로 기술통계, 상관관계분석, 단순 선형 회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하고, SPSS PROCESS macro 3.5를 이용하여 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 학교 구성원 모두가 학생의 학습에 초점을 맞춘 전문적 학습공동체의 일원으로 적극 협력할 경우 역량함양 교육활동은 더욱 활발해지는 영향관계가 있고, 교내에서 실시되는 과정중심평가 연수는 학교의 전문적 학습공동체가 역량함양 교육활동에 미치는 영향을 조절하는 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 2015 개정교육과정이 지향하는 역량함양 교육의 활성화를 이해하고 실천하는 데 필요한 학문적, 정책적 시사점을 도출하여 제시하였다. 특히, 교사 중심 협의의 전문적 학습공동체 개념이 교장, 교감, 교사, 교직원 모두를 포괄하는 넓은 의미의 전문적 학습공동체로 확장될 필요가 있으며, 교육 실천의 관점에서 학교 구성원의 인식 전환을 위한 학교경영 리더십과 전략, 연수기회 제공 등의 필요성을 강조하였다. This study seeks to analyze the relationship of influence of a professional learning community of school and a competency development activity in school, and the moderating effect of process-focused assessment teacher training between the two variables. Out of 「KELS 2013」, the 5th(2017) data set, the responses of 1,045 school data were analyzed excluding outliers. Descriptive statistics, correlation, simple regresssion, and hierarchical regression analysis were used to answer these questions, and SPSS Process Macro 3.5 was used to verify the moderating effect. According to the results, when all of the school members eagerly cooperated as a member of professional learning community of school focusing on students’ learning, competency development activities had more impact actively. It was confirmed that the moderating effect of process-focused assessment teacher training conducted in school adjusted the influence of professional learning community of school upon competency development activity. Based on the result, we suggested that the academic and policy implication were presented to understand and to practice vitalization of competency development in the pursuit of the 2015 revised curriculum. In particular, the concept of a professional learning community oriented to teachers needed to be extended to a professional learning community including principals, vice principals, teachers, and the teaching staff in a broad sense, and we emphasized the necessity of school management leadership, strategy, and teacher training to change the perception of school members in the perspective of practice in education.

Drug dissolution test has been used for the purpose of both quality control of solid oral dosage forms and predicting in vivo drug release profiles. In this study, the dissolution profiles of buflomedil hydrochloride tablets and ticlopidine hydrochloride tablets were investigated according to the “Guidelines on Specifications of Dissolution tests for Oral dosage forms” of Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP). The analytical method using HPLC was validated. The validation was performed in terms of specificity, linearity, accuracy, precision and limit of quantitation.
