Doubly fed Induction generators are used commonly in variable speed wind energy conversion systems due to their high output energy. This paper analyzes the steady state of wind power systems based on doubly-fed induction generator when subjected to different voltage sags at grid and the various parameters undergoing variations due to this. PWM converters are used as excitation power supply source to the DFIG wind energy conversion system of VSCF, which join rotor to the used grid. To control the convertor rotor side, vector control scheme is used which is based on stator voltage strategy. The model based on this scheme is simulated with the help of MATLAB software.

This paper examines the physico-chemical properties and structural features of thio lignin and alcohol lignin preparations extracted from fast-growing poplar wood. The lignin preparations were characterized using UV, IR and alkaline nitrobenzene oxidation methods. The yield was higher in thiolignin due to its preparation from wood under drastic alkaline conditions and almost the total amount of alkaline degraded lignin was precipitated except acid soluble lignin. In case of ethanol lignin, structural modifications were comparatively less and form a cream colored lignin more or less similar to its original natural color. The methoxyl values were higher due to syringyl unit present in hard wood lignin in addition to guaicyl unit present in soft wood. The higher values of methoxyl content of isolated lignin revealed that it was built up of high syringyl units. The elementary analysis, methoxyl group and hydroxyl groups were presented by C? formula indicated that it was made up of phenyl propane monomers. Nitrobenzene oxidation of thio lignin and ethanol lignin yield more or less the chromatograms of similar pattern, except difference in relative percentage. The ultra violet spectra of lignins were quite similar, irrespective of the source and method of isolation. Infrared spectroscopy studies of poplar deltoides, thio and ethanol lignin shown different absorption bands which have been utilized for structural investigations.

In this paper we focused on mathematical formulation for capacitive pressure sensor. The most important parameter of every sensor are deflection on the application of applied pressure, variation of capacitance on deflection and sensitivity. Here we mathematically drive equation for every parameter. This article help researcher to develop MEMS based capacitive pressure sensor for particular application. For that purpose we also vary the thickness of sensing diaphragm. Our study in this article is mainly consider only case of pressure sensor in normal mode. Mostly researcher use FEM method for design and simulation of capacitive pressure sensor but using these equation they can easily design any sensor by changing the parameter of equation. The material for diaphragm is Si and for insulation layer is SiO₂ is taken in this article.

Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) are capable of modelling information with more uncertainties in decision-making problems. The essential feature of PFSs is that they are described by three parameters: membership function, non-membership function and hesitant margin, with the total of the squares of each parameter equal to one. The purpose of this article is to suggest some new similarity measures and weighted similarity measures for PFSs. Numerical computations have been carried out to validate our proposed measures. Applications of these measures have been applied to some real-life decision-making problems of pattern detection and medicinal investigations. Moreover, a descriptive illustration is employed to compare the results of the proposed measures with the existing analogous similarity measures to show their effectiveness.

In this article we described the channel capacity of random MIMO channel when CSI is not available at transmitter side. The channel correlation is directly related to capacity of MIMO channel. Also we consider the capacity of MIMO channel when the channel gain between transmitter and receiver is correlated. We compute mathematical equation for calculation of ergodic channel capacity of random MIMO system. MIMO system have very large impact on channel capacity, so it is very necessary to analyze all parameter which are responsible for very high speed data transmission. Because day by day there is very high need of technologies which provide high data transmission. All the simulation in this article are done with the help of MATLAB/Simulink software.

Background: Children with cleft lip and/or palate can be undernourished due to feeding difficulties after birth. A vicious cycle ensues where malnutrition and low body weight precludes the child from having the corrective surgery, in the absence of which the child fails to gain weight. This study aimed to identify the proportion of malnutrition, including the deficiency of major micronutrients, namely iron, folate and vitamin B12, in children with cleft lip and/or palate and thus help in finding out what nutritional interventions can improve the scenario for these children. Methods: All children less than 5 years with cleft lip and/or cleft palate attending our institute were included. On their first visit, following were recorded: demographic data, assessment of malnutrition, investigations: complete blood count and peripheral blood film examination; serum albumin, ferritin, iron, folate, and vitamin B12 levels. Results: Eighty-one children with cleft lip and/or palate were included. Mean age was 25.37± 21.49 months (range, 3–60 months). In 53% of children suffered from moderate to severe wasting, according to World Health Organization (WHO) classification. Iron deficiency state was found in 91.6% of children. In 35.80% of children had vitamin B12 deficiency and 23.45% had folate deficiency. No correlation was found between iron deficiency and the type of deformity. Conclusion: Iron deficiency state is almost universally present in children with cleft lip and palate. Thus, iron and folic acid supplementation should be given at first contact to improve iron reserve and hematological parameters for optimum and safe surgery

Many methods and techniques utilize a combination of different bandwidths in the visible, NIR (Near Infrared), and SWIR (Shortwave Infrared) regions for glacier ice mapping. In this study, we investigated and compared various techniques to map the clean ice area of the glaciers using Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2 images. The effectiveness of different techniques and effects of different sensors on the mapping accuracy was also assessed in the Dhauliganga basin of Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand state of India. Also, the time series composite of Sentinel-1 SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data was used as reference data for estimating the bare or clean glacier ice area. It was reported from the study that clean ice/snow areas mapped using band ratios Red/SWIR and NIR/SWIR from Landsat 8 were overestimated by 4.41% and 4.94% respectively which were larger as compared to Sentinel 2. The most rigorous and well-known technique for glacier mapping, NDSI (Normalized Difference Snow Index) was also checked for both sensors. Clean ice/snow areas mapped from NDSI were found to be 1.35% less as compared to Red/SWIR and 2.62% greater as compared to NIR/SWIR bands of the Landsat 8. However using the same bands from the Sentinel 2, NDSI overestimated 0.67% and 5.27% respectively over both the ratios.
Plastic bottle feeding produces changes in biochemical parameters in human infants – A pilot study
Pant Mahendra K.,Ahmad Abul. H.,Naithani Manisha,Pant Jayanti 대한소아청소년과학회 2022 Clinical and Experimental Pediatrics (CEP) Vol.65 No.9
Background: Plastic bottles are widely used by people to feed their infants when breastfeeding is not possible. Bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disruptor is widely used in the manufacturing of plastic wares and is leached out from these plastic wares on exposure to high temperature, changed pH, or cleaning the plastic wares by harsh detergents.Purpose: Feeding through plastic bottles over prolong duration is expected to expose the infants to leached BPA. Hence the present study was taken up to compare the effects of breastfeeding and plastic bottle feeding on biochemical parameters in infants and also detect for the presence of free BPA or its metabolite in the infants. Methods: Biochemical tests like lipid profile, liver function tests, creatine-kinase–MB (CK-MB), serum urea, serum electrolytes were performed on blood samples obtained from infants who were breastfed and plastic bottle fed. Further, plasma and urine samples of the infants were subjected to Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis for detecting free BPA and BPA glucuronide. Results: Biochemical changes in form of raised triglycerides, cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins, very low-density lipoproteins and increase in CK-MB, serum urea were observed in plastic bottle fed infants. BPA glucuronide was also detected in the urine of these infants. Free BPA was not detected in plasma or urine samples of the infants except in one plasma sample from bottle-fed group. Conclusion: Plastic bottle feeding may lead to toxic changes in the functioning of organs which manifest as altered biochemical parameters.

Background: The influence of smoking on nonsyndromic clefts has been a topic of research for many years. However, few studies have investigated the effect of smoking on causing clefts in different gene pools. Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted of case-control studies related to smoking. Keywords such as “clefts,” “cleft lip,” “cleft palate,” “orofacial cleft,” and “smoking” were used to search the MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane databases. Results: In total, 51 articles were reviewed. The RevMan software was utilized for the analysis, and the Mantel-Haenszel method was employed to pool the odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals. Although the overall OR, a measure of the association between exposure and outcome, was higher for smokers than for non-smokers, this association was significantly stronger in individuals from Asia and South America (1.73), and lowest in Europe (1.31). Among active and passive smokers in Asia, the OR was approximately 0.93, indicating an equivalent impact from both types of smoking. Conclusion: This analysis indirectly suggests that restriction measures targeting both active and passive smoking are crucial in Asia.
