The materials of LiNi_(1/2)Mn_(1/2)O₂are synthesized using PVA-assisted sol-gel and molten-salt synthesis. LiNi_(1/2)Mn_(1/2)O₂synthesized at 600℃ for 24h was performed the discharge capacity of about 90 and 180mAh/g. We increased the amount of acetylene black from 15wt% to 40wt% in cathode. The sample included 40wt% of acetylene black showed the higher discharge capacity of about 165mAh/g after 40 cycles. In case of LiNi_(1/2)Mn_(1/2)O₂heated at 900 ℃ for another 3h after the material was synthesized at 600℃ for 24h, it contained 40wt% of acetylene black performed higher discharge capacity, about 220mAh/g after 70 cycles.

<B>Object</B><P>Supplementary motor area (SMA) resection often induces postoperative contralateral hemiparesis or speech disturbance. This study was performed to assess the neurological impairments that often follow SMA resection and to assess the risk factors associated with these postoperative deficits.</P><B>Methods</B><P>The records for patients who had undergone SMA resection for pharmacologically intractable epilepsy between 1994 and 2010 were gleaned from an epilepsy surgery database and retrospectively reviewed in this study.</P><B>Results</B><P>Forty-three patients with pharmacologically intractable epilepsy underwent SMA resection with intraoperative cortical stimulation and mapping while under awake anesthesia. The mean patient age was 31.7 years (range 15-63 years), and the mean duration and frequency of seizures were 10.4 years (range 0.1-30 years) and 14.6 per month (range 0.1-150 per month), respectively. Pathological examination of the brain revealed cortical dysplasia in 18 patients (41.9%), tumors in 16 patients (37.2%), and other lesions in 9 patients (20.9%). The mean duration of the follow-up period was 84.0 months (range 24-169 months). After SMA resection, 23 patients (53.5%) experienced neurological deficits. Three patients (7.0%) experienced permanent deficits, and 20 (46.5%) experienced symptoms that were transient. All permanent deficits involved contralateral weakness, whereas the transient symptoms patients experienced were varied, including contralateral weaknesses in 15, apraxia in 1, sensory disturbances in 1, and dysphasia in 6. Thirteen patients recovered completely within 1 month. Univariate analysis revealed that resection of the SMA proper, a shorter lifetime seizure history (< 10 years), and resection of the cingulate gyrus in addition to the SMA were associated with the development of neurological deficits (p = 0.078, 0.069, and 0.023, respectively). Cingulate gyrus resection was the only risk factor identified on multivariate analysis (p = 0.027, OR 6.530, 95% CI 1.234-34.562).</P><B>Conclusions</B><P>Resection of the cingulate gyrus in addition to the SMA was significantly associated with the development of postoperative neurological impairment.</P>

Indeterminate western blot in HIV infection can be due to seroconversion during acute HIV infection, advanced HIV infection or infection with HIV-2. In this report, we describe a patient whose advanced HIV infection was identified by a positive combined antigen/ antibody test and detectable viremia, with an inch of being misdiagnosed as acute HIV syndrome. A 23-year-old male was admitted with fever, myalgia, diarrhea and weight loss. He denied previous history of HIV infection, sexual contact and transfusion. Indeterminate western blot result made us misdiagnosis as a seroconversion in acute HIV syndrome. He denied his disease and insisted to delay antiretroviral therapy until positive western blot results. We had question about very low CD4 cell count (22/uL), and asked HIV/AIDS national registry for his previous registration. He was diagnosed HIV infection via blood donor screening 22 months before admission, but was not informed of the result. Finally the patient was confirmed advanced HIV infection and started antiretroviral therapy.

게임 산업이 고도의 성장을 이루고 있는 현재 게임시장에서 대두되고 있는 문제점은 개발업무에 대한 능력과 자질이다. 대부분의 게임 개발 업무의 방식이 주먹구구식의 개발을 통해 게임을 제작하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 점은 게임제작에서 중요한 요소인 개념유지와 의사소통에 대한 문제점들로 나타난다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 게임의 개념 단계에서 기획자의 아이디어를 제시하는 모델링을 위해 표현되는 요소를 연구하여 게임의 개념을 유지하고 개발자와의 원활한 의사소통을 통해 작업효율을 증대 시킬 수 있다.
Development and Evaluation of a Hybrid Walking Rehabilitation Robot, DDgo Pro

This paper describes the development and evaluation of a newly developed end-effector type rehabilitation robot named DDgo Pro. In order to induce normal walking pattern, a five-link mechanism was designed to follow normal walking trajectory. In order to implement the rehabilitation training feature, the core technologies of the drive unit consisting of freewheel and BLDC motor, the construction of the robot control system, and the algorithms of the three training modes in DDgo Pro were addressed in detail. Among the three training modes, Passive Mode makes the robot to fully guide normal walking pattern, and to help patients gain muscle strength in their lower body. In Active Assisted Mode, patients who have learned Passive Mode are able to perform active rehabilitation training for a long time while receiving muscle assistance from the robot in proportion to their walking intentions. Active mode was designed for patients to perform rehabilitation training for themselves with minimal help from the robot. In order to test muscle assisted performance of the newly developed rehabilitation robot, muscle activity in each training mode was measured using Electromyography for healthy people. In addition, gait dynamics was analyzed to check whether DDgo Pro help stroke patients correct their walking patterns.

Silicon carbide (SiC) is a promising material for neutron detection at harsh environments because of its capability to withstand strong radiation fields and high temperatures. Two PIN-type SiC semiconductor neutron detectors, which can be used for nuclear power plant (NPP) applications, such as in-core reactor neutron flux monitoring and measurement, were designed and fabricated. As a preliminary test, MCNPX simulations were performed to estimate reaction probabilities with respect to neutron energies. In the experiment, I-V curves were measured to confirm the diode characteristic of the detectors, and pulse height spectra were measured for neutron responses by using a $^{252}Cf$ neutron source at KRISS (Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science), and a Tandem accelerator at KIGAM (Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources). The neutron counts of the detector were linearly increased as the incident neutron flux got larger.

<P>We established <I>Q</I> spectroscopy, a novel method for the study of alpha decay, by combining 4π detection scheme with a low-temperature microcalorimeter. A 4π metal absorber guarantees absolute measurement of radioactivity without energy loss in the source and absorber. As a clear demonstration of <I>Q</I> spectroscopy, the <SUP>241</SUP>Am alpha source enclosed by a thin gold foil was measured below 100 mK. Its resulting energy spectrum has two dominant peaks with 10 keV FWHM. The more dominant one corresponds to the complete absorption of the <I>Q</I> value, the total decay energy, and the less dominant one to γ-ray escapes. Consequential one-to-one correspondence with high-energy resolution appears between mixed radioisotopes and peaks in <I>Q</I> spectroscopy, which will simplify procedures of nuclear material analysis.</P>
