Fuzzy Evaluation Model for In-service Karst Highway Tunnel Structural Safety

To analyze in-service tunnel structure safety, the coupling effect of a multi-factor should be considered. The karst highway tunnel structure safety is classified into five grades based on a railway tunnel health evaluation model. The factors affecting tunnel structure safety are addressed using an analytic hierarchy process. Qualitative indices are classified into five levels according to tunnel safety. A membership function that follows the Gaussian distribution is applied to determine quantitative evaluation indices. Those factors are assigned weights by expert scoring method of system theory, and the treated karst caves are set up as an uncompacted backfill model. A three-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is finally built for in-service highway tunnel structure safety in the karst area. The safety of Hui-long-shan tunnel is evaluated, and the safety value is judged by the maximum membership law according to the proposed model.
Sparsity Controlled Random Multiple Access With Compressed Sensing

<P>This paper considers random multiple access in a network where only a small portion of users have data to forward and transmit packets in each time slot because the user activity ratio is not high in practice. For this reason, the access point (AP) has to not only identify the users who transmitted but also decode the received data codewords. Exploiting the sparsity of transmitting users, Lasso, which is a well-known practical compressed sensing algorithm, is applied for efficient user identification. The compressed sensing algorithm enables the AP to handle more users than the conventional random multiple access schemes do. We develop distributed scheduling methods for maximizing the system sum throughput, and we analyze the corresponding optimal throughput for three different cases of channel knowledge, i.e., the channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT), the channel state information at the receiver (CSIR), and the imperfect channel state information at the receiver (ImCSIR). We also derive the closed-form expressions of asymptotically optimal scheduling parameters and the corresponding maximum sum throughput for each CSI assumption. The results show the effects of system parameters on the sum throughput and provide useful insights on using compressed sensing for throughput maximization in random multiple access schemes.</P>

Piezoelectric composites based on 0 − 3 cement have been extensively employed in structuralhealth monitoring. Significantly, curing conditions considerably affect the forming strength ofmatrix materials. In order to obtain the best molding conditions of 0 − 3 cement-basedpiezoelectric composites, this paper studied the evolution of various parameters with timeduring the early molding process of 0 − 3 cement-based piezoelectric composites underdifferent temperature and humidity conditions. The analysis indicated that the higher thetemperature, which increases the forming speed of the sample, the lower the curing humidity,which decreases the current generated during the polarisation process of the sample, andlonger the time required to attain the polarisation voltage. The test concluded that the curingcondition of high temperature and high humidity was conducive to obtaining higherpiezoelectric and dielectric properties of the sample and the piezoelectric strain constant anddielectric constant reached the maximum value at 80oC/100RH, which were 45.5 pC/N and44.36 respectively.

중국은 최근 30년 동안 세계에서 가장 빠른 경제성장을 기록하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 경제성장 이면에는 국유 기업의 문제, 지역 간의 경제적 편차, 시장개방의 문제 등이 함께 존재하고 있다. 사회주의 시장경제로의 전환을 통한 민영화 기업을 통한 성장으로 중국은 국유기업 및 지역 경제개발에 의미를 두고 있다. 이러한 노력에 대한 일환으로 중국 정부는 가족 국유기업의 독점을 철폐하고자 노력하고 민영화 기업에 대한 영역을 확대하고 있으며, 국유기업들을 제도개혁을 통해 민영화로 전환하고자 하는 노력을 하고 있다. 기존의 기업의 민영화에 대한 다년간의 연구가 진행되었지만 공기업의 민영화에 대한 문제는 명확한 결론을 내리기 어려운 실정이다. 중국 민영화가 날로 번창하는 가운데 중국 민영화 기업의 문제와 중국의 기업지배구조와 기업 경영 성과 간에 서구권 다른 국가들과는 다르다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구방법은 중국 국유기업에 대한 조사와 중국기업 사례분석을 통해서 민영화를 위한 정책의 방향을 문헌과 선행연구를 토대로 종합적으로 검토하고 자 한다. 또한 민영화 추진방향에 대한 성과에 대한 문제점들의 존재여부와 개선을 위한 정책들을 제안하고자 한다.

Pd/(Pt/Co/Pt) modulated multilayer films have been deposited on various substrates with Pd/Pt buffer layers. Films grown at different temperatures have very distinct magnetic properties and surface microstructures. Atomic force (AFM) and scanning tunneling (STM) microscopies studies of these films reveal that films deposited at room temperature have small grain structures with an average grain size of about 140 Å. However, much larger grains of about 1200 Å in size are observed in the films grown on buffer layers which were deposited at 500℃. These large grains are found to actually consist of smaller grains of about 170 Å in diameter. SQUID magnetic and Kerr hysteresis loop measurements indicate that multilayer films with large grains exhibit high magnetic coercivities of around 5 kOe. A subgrain growth model is proposed to understand the observed grain structures in the multilayers.

<P>Liquid crystal (LC) materials are currently the dominant electronic materials in display technology because of the ease of control of molecular orientation using an electric field. However, this technology requires the fabrication of two-polarizers to create operational displays, reducing light transmission efficiency below 10%. It is therefore desirable to develop new technologies to enhance the light efficiency while maintaining or improving other properties such as the modulation speed of the molecular orientation, Here we report a uniaxial-oriented B7 smectic liquid crystalline film, using fluorescent bent-core LC molecules, a chemically modified substrate, and an in-plane electric field. A LC droplet under homeotropic boundary conditions of air/LC as well as LC/substrate exhibits large focal conic like optical textures. The in-plane electric field induced uniaxial orientation of the LC molecules) in which molecular polar directors are aligned in the direction of the electric field. This highly oriented LC film exhibits linearly polarized luminescence and microsecond time-scale modulation characteristics. The resultant device is both cheap and easy to.fabricate and thus has great potential for electro-optic applications, including LC displays, bioimaging systems, and optical communications.</P>
