        The total number of passengers for Line 1~4 operated by Seoul Metro among subways that act as foot of Seoul residents was 1.43116 billion passengers in 2006 and average of 3.921 million passengers per day. The results of analysis on safety accidents that occurred recently in subways show that various complaints onsubways were reduced through the expansion of safety related facilities and training but accidents caused by negligent handling by employees including engineers are increasing on the contrary. At present time where various man-made accidents break out such as wrong handling and habits of engineers in charge of driving trains and momentary mistakes, there needs effort for active management and improvement to prevent and minimize accidents. Therefore, this study has drawn out problems through surveys on aptitude test system to engineers and compared with case studies in overseas. Thus, it attempted to minimize safety accidents in subways, and derived methods for improving safety management by focusing on improving the current aptitude test system for nurturing engineers suitable to handle railway driving in the future.

        클라우드 서비스는 향후 IT 분야에 있어 중요한 기술이 되고 있다. 특히 모바일 네트워크 시장의 규모가 커감에 따라서 클라우드 서비스는 지금보다 더 부각되는 기술이 될 것이다. 하지만, 사용자의 정보가 제 3자에게 위탁된다는 점에서 보안 문제가 가장 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 자료에 대한 암호화를 통해 개인의 정보소유권을 강화하면서 클라우드 스토리지를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

        Spur-line과 PM Diode를 이용한 편파변환 특성을 갖는 정사각형 패치 안테나

        본 논문에서는 정사각형 패치 안테나에 핀 다이오드(PIN diode)를 사용하여 편파변환 특성을 갖는 새로운 형태의 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 정사각형 패치면 위에 한 쌍의 스퍼라인(spur-line)과 스퍼라인 위에 핀 다이오드를 삽입한 구조이다. 스퍼라인은 핀 다이오드의 on/off특성에 의해 I형 슬롯라인(slot-line)과 L형 스퍼라인의 형태로 변환되어 편파 변환 특성을 나타내었다. 안테나의 측정 결과 선형편파로 동작할 때에는 -15 dB 이상의 낮은 교차 편파 특성을 나타내었고, 원형편파로 동작할 때에는 0.83 dB의 좋은 축비 특성을 나타내었다. 안테나의 -10 dB대역폭은 on/off상태에 따라 각각 $2.1\%$와 $4.1\%$의 특성을 나타내었다. 또한, 원형편파로 동작하는 안테나의 축비 대역폭은 $3.5\%$의 비교적 넓은 대역폭의 특성을 나타내었다. 따라서 제안된 안테나는 동일한 대역폭 안에서 편파 변환 특성을 나타낼 수 있기 때문에 단일 안테나를 이용하여 주파수를 재사용하는 시스템에서 사용할 수 있다. In this paper, a novel microstrip patch antenna with switchable polarization is proposed. The proposed antenna has a simple structure, consisting of a square radiating patch, a pair of L-type spur-lines, and a microstrip line feed. It can produce either linear polarization or circular polarization by setting the diode on or off From the measured results, low cross polarization levels when operated in the linear polarization, and good axial ratios in the circular state have been observed.

        PIN 다이오드를 이용한 편파 변환 마이크로스트립 원형 패치 안테나

        In this paper, a circular microstrip patch antenna for switchable polarization is presented. For the switchable polarization, pairs of tuning stubs and two PIN diodes are utilized. By independently setting the PIN diodes on or off, the antenna produces either linear polarization or circular polarization. From the results, the -10 dB impedance bandwidths of 57.0 MHz($2.4\%$) and 50.0 MHz($2.1\%$) when operated in the linear polarization, and the 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of $1.3\%$ with minimum of 0.2 and 0.9 dB in the circular polarization have been observed. 본 논문에서는 PIN 다이오드를 이용하여 다양한 편파 변환 특성을 갖는 마이크로스트립 원형 패치 안테나를 제안하였다. 안테나의 방사 패치에 두 개의 튜닝 스터브를 일정 거리를 두어 배치하고 PIN 다이오드로 각각의 튜닝 스터브를 방사 패치에 대하여 전기적으로 단락과 개방으로 스위칭함으로써 편파 변환 특성을 갖도록 하였다. 각각의 PIN 다이오드의 on/off 특성에 따라 안테나의 방사 특성은 두 주파수대의 선형 편파와 원형 편파, 우화전 원형 편파와 좌회전 원형 편파의 특성을 나타내게 된다. PIN 다이오드가 모두 on 또는 모두 off일 때 선형 편파가 발생하게 되고, 둘 중에 하나만 on되면 원형 편파 특성을 나타내게 된다. 안테나 측정 결과, 선형 편파일 경우에는 -10 dB 임피던스 대역폭은 각각 57.0 MHz($2.4\%$)와 50.0 MHz($2.1\%$)이며 방사 패턴에 있어서는 -15 dB 이하의 교차 편차 특성을 나타내었다. 또한, 원편파로 동작하는 경우, 좌${\cdot}$우 회전 편파에 대하여 모두 약 $1.3\%$의 축비 대역폭을 가졌으며 축비의 최소값은 0.2와 0.9 dB로 측정되었다.

        재발한 급성 괴사성 뇌병증 1례

        저자들은 15개월에 급성 괴사성 뇌병증을 않았던 4세 남아에서 발열 및 경한 상기도 감염의 증상 후 갑자기 의식이 나빠지고 전신발작을 일으키며 뇌 MRI상 T2 강조영상에서 고 신호 강도를 보이는, 양측 시상을 대칭적으로 침범하는 원형의 병변이 관찰되었던 재발된 급성 괴사성 뇌병증 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. A 4-year-old boy showed two episodes of encephalitis/encephalopathy involving disturbed consciousness, convulsion, and paresis associated with the elevated levels of protein and no pleocytosis of the cerebrospinal fluid. MRI studies of the brain revealed symmetrical lesions in the brain stem and thalamus at the first episode, and their sizes were regressed. The lesions were enlarged to the previous size in the second episode. These episodes were not followed by an elevation of the anti-viral antibody titer. In the second episode, intravenous methylprednisolone therapy and intravenous immunoglobulin therapy were introduced.

        Human Taste Receptor-Functionalized Field Effect Transistor as a Human-Like Nanobioelectronic Tongue

        <P>In this study, we developed a human taste receptor protein, hTAS2R38-functionalized carboxylated polypyrrole nanotube (CPNT)-field effect transistor (FET) as a nanobioelectronic tongue (nbe-tongue) that displayed human-like performance with high sensitivity and selectivity. Taster type (PAV) and nontaster type (AVI) hTAS2R38s were expressed in <I>Escherichia coli</I> (<I>E. coli</I>) at a high level and immobilized on a CPNT-FET sensor platform. Among the various tastants examined, PAV-CPNT-FET exclusively responded to target bitterness compounds, phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) and propylthiouracil (PROP), with high sensitivity at concentrations as low as 1 fM. However, no significant changes were observed in the AVI-CPNT-FET in response to the target bitter tastants. This nbe-tongue exhibited different bitter-taste perception of compounds containing thiourea (N–CS) moieties such as PTC, PROP, and antithyroid toxin in vegetables, which corresponded to the haplotype of hTAS2R38 immobilized on CPNTs. This correlation with the type of receptor is very similar to the human taste system. Thus, the artificial taste sensor developed in this study allowed for the efficient detection of target tastants in mixture and real food sample with a human-like performance and high sensitivity.         주요 우울증에서 종양괴사인자-베타 유전자의 다형성

        연구목적 : 주요 우울증은 역학적 유전연구 등을 통하여 유전적 영향이 높은 것으로 알려져 있으며 최근에는 분자 유전학적 연구로 유전자 다형성과 질병의 연관성을 밝히는 것이 정신질환의 유전학적 연구에서 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중추신경계와 면역계간의 상호작용에 관여하는 싸이토카인 중 TNF-β 유전자의 다형성을 분석하여 주요 우울증과의 유전학적 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : DSM-IV에 의하여 주요 우울증으로 진단된95명을 환자군으로 선정하였고 가톨릭조혈모세포정보은행에서 보유하고 있는 정상 한국인 202명의 자료를 정상 대조군으로 사용하였다. 전혈에서 DNA를 추출하고 TNF-β 유전자 부위를 증폭한 후 제한효소 Nco Ⅰ으로 절단하여 555bp와 185bp의 절편을 갖는 TNFB*1과 Nco Ⅰ절단부가 없는 740bp의 절편 TNFB*2등 2가지 대립유전자의 제한효소절편길이 다형성을 조사하였다. 모든 자료의 분석은 x²검증을 이용하였다. 결 과 : 1) 주요 우울증과 정상 대조군 간에 TNFB유전자인 TNFB*1/1, TNFB*1/2 및 TNFB*2/2의 발현 빈도에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 2) 두 군 간에 TNFB*1 과 TNFB*2 두 대립유전자의 빈도에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결 론 : 본 연구에서는 주요 울울증군과 정상 대조군 간에 TNFB*1과 TNFB*2의 두 대립유전자 발현 빈도에 유의한 차이를 발견하지 못하였다. 따라서 TNFB 유전자다형성과 주요 우울증과의 유전학적인 연관성이 없었다. 향후 연구에서는 다양한 임상변인을 포함하여 보다 통합적이고 체계적인 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각되었다. Objective : Major depressive disorder is known to have high genetic predisposition and the main focus of recent genetic studies in major depressive disorder has been concentrated on association studies between genetic polymorphism and disease, since molecular genetic methods have been developed. This study was designed to investigate the relationship between major depressive disorder and immunogenetic influences by analyzing polymorphism of TNFB gene, which is involved in interaction of immune system and CNS. Method : 95 persons who had been diagnosed of major depressive disorder were assigned as patient group and, 202 data obtained from Catholic hemopoietic stem cell bank, College of medicine, the Catholic University of Korea, were used as normal controls in this study. DNA was extracted from whole blood, thereafter amplified by polymerase chain reaction, and digested by Nco Ⅰ.After that procedure, we obtained and assessd restriction fragment length polymorphism of two alleles, TNFV*1 which has 555bp and 185bp fragments and carries the Nco Ⅰ restriction site, and TNFB*2 of 740 bp fragment lacks the Nco Ⅰ restriction site. All data were analyzed by x²test with two-tailed Fisher's exact test. Results : 1) The frequencies of TNFB*1/1, TNFB*1/2, and TNFB*2/2 were not statistically different between major depressive disorder patients and control group. 2) The frequencies of TNFB*2 and TNFB*1 were not statistically different between major depressive disorder patient group and normal control group. Conclusion : We did not verified the differences of frequency in TNFB*1/TNFB*2 gene between the major depressive disorder and normal controls, respectively. Consequently, there is no genetic relationship between major depressive disorder and gene polymorphism of TNFB. We do suggest that further systematic studies including various clinical variables should be conducted.

        실험적 중대뇌동맥폐쇄후 Rheomacrodex 및 혈압변화의 영향

        An experiment was planned to observe the histopathological alteration with administration of the Rheomacrodex and blood pressure changes in induced cerebral infarct after occlusion. Eighty well developed cats, weighing 2.3 to 3.5kg, were used in this experiment. The right MCA was exposed through temporal approach and the proximal part of the MCA was occluded with a silver clip. The animals were divided into 4 groups : The control group was comprised of 20 cats with occlusion of the right MCA alone, Rheomacrodex-treated group was comprised of 20 cats after occlusion of right MCA, induced hypotension and hypertension groups consisted in each 20 cats following occlusion, of the MCA. The animals were sacrificed at intervals of 3 hours. 6 hours, 24 hours, 1 week and 2 weeks respectively after occlusion of the MCA. The animals were studied for clinical deficits and histopathological changes of the cerebral infarct according to the time courses. The results obtained were as follows : 1) In the control group, severe contralateral hemiplegia was developed in the early stage following the MCA occlusion, however the neurological deficits were progressively improved to the state of abnormal walking in 24 hours to 2 weeks. The hemorrhagic infarct was involving the basal ganglia, internal capsule and extending to the cortex with mild brain edema in the early stage and the area of the infarct was gradually enlarged from 6 hours to 24 hours following the MCA occlusion. Although the brain edema of surrounding area of the lesion was remained unchanged, the size and distribution of the infarct were decreased in one week to 2 weeks. Extensive ischemic neuronal damage was observed in the control group. 2) In the Rheomacrodex-treated group, mild to moderate neurological deficit was developed in the early stage after MCA occlusion and the deficit was less severe than control group. The clinical deficit was improving in the time course and one case had shown completely normal activity in 2 weeks. The distribution of the infarct was well defined and it was smaller than control group. The infarct mainly involved the basal ganglia and internal capsule. The area of the infarct was gradually enlarged from 6 hours to one week after MCA occlusion, then the extent of the infart was decresed in 2 weeks. The ischemic neuronal change in this group was less severe than control group. 3) In the induced hypotension group, the early neurological deficit was worse than that of the control group and severe hemiplegia was developed in one week. There was minimal improvement of the neurological deficit in 2 weeks. The area of the infarct was ill-defined and hemorrhagic extending a large portion of the brain with severe brain edema. The infart was involving the basal ganglia, internal capsule, claustrum and the cortex from 3 hours to 24 hours after the occlusion and the area of the infarct was not changed during the observation. Severe ischemic nerve cell change or resolution of the cells was observed in this group. 4) In the induced hypertension group, the neurological deficit was mild and it was better than that of the control group. The distribution of the infarct was well localized and minimum in extent. The extent of the infarct was not changed during the observation. There was no observable gross brain edema and the ischemic nerve cell changes were not severe.
