<P>Although Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai, a dwarf bamboo, is known to exert a variety of beneficial effects on health, its antiviral effect remains to be elucidated. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is one of the most devastating viral pathogens of swine and has a substantial economic impact on the global pork industry. Therefore, the present study was conducted to determine whether Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai extract (SQE) inhibits PRRSV infection in cultured porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs). Our results demonstrated that SQE treatment suppressed the replication of PRRSV in a dose-dependent manner. The antiviral activity of SQE on PRRSV replication was found to be primarily exerted at early times postinfection. Treatment with SQE resulted in marked reduction of viral genomic and subgenomic RNA synthesis, viral protein expression, and progeny virus production. Notably, pro-inflammatory cytokine production in PAM cells infected with PRRSV was shown to be modulated in the presence of SQE. Taken together, our data indicate that SQE has potential as a therapeutic agent against PRRSV.</P>

본 논문은 기후변화와 자연재해에 대한 뉴스 기사 분석을 통해 시기적 변화에 따른 주요 이슈 및 특징을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 1900년부터 2022년 08월까지의 기사를 추출하여 텍스트마이닝분석을 실시하였다. 뉴스 기사는 대중의 인식이나 사회적 문제, 담론 등 사회가 가진 시대적 특성을 반영하는 도구로 특정 분야의 흐름이나 특징 등의 변화를 관찰하는데 유용하다. 텍스트마이닝(Text Mining)은 웹페이지 등의 전자문서(텍스트 자료)에서 유용한 정보를 추출하기 위한 도구로 주요 키워드 추출(워드 클라우드), 네트워크 분석, 토픽 분석 등 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 단순빈도분석을 통한 워드 클라우드 분석과 동시출현 네트워크 분석 등을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 기후변화로 인해 자연재해 발생빈도가 크게 증가하고 있으며, 주로 국지성 집중호우 피해가 나타나고 있다. 기후변화로 인한 자연재해 피해가 다양해지고 있으므로 향후 기후변화에 다른 피해를 줄이기 위한 대책 마련이 필요하다. This paper aims to analyze key issues and characteristics of environmental policy over time through big data-based analysis on climate change and natural disasters. To achieve this, articles from 1900 to August 2022 are extracted and text mining analysis is conducted. Methodologically, text mining is a tool for extracting useful information from electronic (Documents Text Data) such as web pages, and is used in various ways such as extracting major (Keywords Word Cloud), network analysis, and topic analysis. In this study, it is analyzed through word cloud analysis and simultaneous network analysis through simple frequency analysis. The results show that the frequency of natural disasters caused by climate change has been highly increasing, and the damages are caused mainly by localized torrential rains. It implies that natural disaster damage caused by climate change are diversifying, so that countermeasures should be prepared to reduce future damages related to climate change.
Influence of Chlorella supplemented diet on honey bee (Apis mellifera) colony health

Microalgae have received scientific attention for alternative food source for honey bees due to its remarkable nutritional composition, often comparable and even superior to bee pollen. Our previous study demonstrated that Chlorella sorokiana-supplement diet improved honey bee (Apis mellifera) longevity, development, and physiology in the cage. In the sequence of the previous study, we investigated the role Chlorella as a dietary supplement on honey bee at the colony level. We formulated feed with 0.5, 2, 5, and 10 % Chlorella supple mented with commercial rapeseed pollen patty and assessed diet preference, quality of royal jelly, development of worker, honey bee colony strength for different diets. The results revealed that diets adding Chlorella repre sented positive effect in consumption, body weight of newly emerged worker, colony strength in terms of number of broods and worker, and 10-HDA of royal jelly compare to controls. Therefore, 2 % Chlorella addition to pollen patty may be proposed as a feed additive for performance improvement of honey bee at colony level.
