최근 전자제품과 관련된 기술의 발전은 핵심 부품의 발열로 인해 많은 제약을 받고 있는 실정이다. 특히 대형 LCD-TV 등의 제품에서는 공간의 제약으로 인해 한정된 공간에서 큰 열전달효과를 얻을 수 있는 방열 구조가 요구된다. 이에 따라 다양한 방법의 새로운 냉각 구조가 개발되고 있으며 각 분야에서 적용되고 있지만, 실제 전자 제품에 적용하기 위해서는 방열구조의 비용적인 측면에서 많은 개선이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 현재까지 가장 많이 적용되고 있는, 팬과 히트싱크를 이용한 대류열전달 방열구조를 이용한 전자기기의 냉각 방법을 대상으로 가장 큰 방열 효과를 얻을 수 있는 히트 싱크의 형상을 평가하였다.

In this study, the qualitative prediction and evaluation of clean room being utilized for mass production of electronic components have been performed with the help of flow simulation. Compared to the experimental analysis based on measurements of the number of particles, concentration of contaminants and flow characteristics, the numerical analysis used in this study is much cost-effective.
대형 LCD-TV 용 LED-BLU 방열 설계에 대한 연구

In this study, thermal design of LED-BLU for large LCD-TV has been performed through the 6-Sigma process and TRIZ method. The design process used in this study would be an efficient and feasible way when considering a new concept for thermal structure of large-size LED-BLU.
배관 결빙 과정에서의 상변화 과정과 자연대류현상의 수치적 해석

A numerical analysis is performed in this study to see the characteristics of the ice plug formation and the heat transfer during pipe freezing process. An unsteady three dimensional computer code which solves incompressible Navier-Stokes equations including energy equation has been developed. The computed results for verification including phase interface and flow patterns showed good agreements with previous results. And additional pipe freezing experiments for verification showed that maximum flow rate for the complete plug formation is highly dependent on the pipe diameter and length of jacket containing refrigerant(LN₂). The results of pipe freezing experiments could be also wed as a guideline and to the proper computation.
세라믹 성형체 소결을 위한 고온 복사열전달 방식 소성로내의 열전달 현상 수치해석

As the developments of mobile electronics such as mobile phone, PDA and notePC demand the components with high performances. One of the important components is the Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor(MLCC). As the MLCC essentially have both the ceramic and metallic materials for the dielectric and electrodes, respectively. As their thermal expansion coefficients are much different, the dislocation of single layer occurs during the sintering process and the accumulated dislocations of single layer causes resultant failure of MLCC. To remedy these phenomena, it has been suggested that the decrease of the ringing time which means time from preheated temperature to the sintering temperature. By this high speed of increasing temperature could make the dislocation of ceramics and metallic materials the minimum. In this study, it has been considered the conventional batch kiln for sintering process of MLCC. For numerical heat transfer analysis, not only conduction and convection heat transfer also radiation were considered. Finally, it was found that radiation is very important factor to be considered when designing batch kiln with high temperature.

In recent years, it is natural that the development and the maintenance of information systems are strongly dependent on outside service providers for economic reasons, especially in public sector. There has been an unexpected growth in the number of selection activities for outsourcing related works. At this time, selection of the contractor generally considers the proposals received based on the RFP(requested for proposal) and determines the ranking by experts committee. However, it is difficult even for expert giving a specific numeric score in weighting criteria or rating alternatives. In this context, an extended fuzzy TOPSIS method is applied for selection problem of IT proposals. A numerical illustration is also provided to demonstrate the applicability of the approach. This approach is very practical to help decision makers in assessing proposals during the selection phase under uncertainties.
