In this paper, Pb(??)O₃ + x[wt%]Cr₂O₃ceramics were fabricated. and thermal aging effects on the specimens were investigated. Thermal shock changed the temperature coefficients of resonant frequency of the specimens but, after thermal aging, the changing rate of their temperature coefficients due to thermal shock became very low. Thermal aging increased relative dielectirc constants of the specimen with no and a small Cr₂O₃ additives. After thermal aging, Electro-mechanical coopting factor of all specimens decreased but the specimens with Cr₂O₃ additives had the smaller temperature coefficients for resonant and antiresonant frequencies.

Two types of Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O₃+PZT ceramics had been fabricated by hot-pressing method. One had coarse grain and the other had fine grain due to Cr₂O₃ addition. These specimen were poled by applying the DC electric field in various steps. The effects of thermal aging on their piezoelectric characteristics and temperature stability of the frequency were investigated. The results are as follows. Change rates of piezoelectric characteristics by thermal aging in small-grain size specimens were greater than in large-grain size specimens. And only small-grain size specimens could have been better frequency temperature stability through thermal aging.

Temperature stabilities of dielectric constants and resonant frequencies of the substrates are very important in piezoelectric ceramics oscillators and filters. In this study, it was investigated temperature stability of the length-extensional vibration mode of Pb(ZryTi1-y)O3 + x[wt%]Cr2O3 ceramics. The mode can be utilized in fabricating ultra-small 455kHz IF devices. Addition of Cr2O3 in morphotrophic phase PZT decreased the variations of dielectric constant, electro-mechanical coupling factor k31 and resonant frequency by thermal shock. As additive weight of Cr2O3 increased. the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency changed from prositive number to negative one. And the composition with zero temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was shifted to the one with increased Cr2O3 additive weight by thermal aging.

The piezoelectric ceramic resonator using length extensional vibration rather than contour extensional vibration in terms of the size is suitable for personal portable communication. In this paper, the ceramics of the six compositions, Pb(Zr_(x)Ti_(1-x))O_(3) + y[wt%]Cr_(2)O_(3) in which x = 0.56(rhombohedral phase). 0.53 (morphotrophic phase). 0.50(tetragonal phase) and y = 0.3 in respective x were fabricated. Temperature stability of length extensional vibration mode of those specimens was investigated. Both ceramic resonators of the composition with x=0.56. y=0 and the composition with 0.53. y=0.3 had better temperature stability frequency than the others, and thermal aging could improve temperature stability in only them.

The piezoelectric ceramic resonator using length extensional vibration rather than contour extensional vibration in terms of the size is suitable for personal portable communication. Pb(Zr_0.56 Ti_0.44)O₃+ x[wt%]Cr₂O₃세라믹스의 길이진동에 대한 온도안정성

Recently mobile communication fields need piezoelectric ceramic resonators and filters as possible as small. The length-extensional vibration mode of a rectangular piezoelectric ceramic plate has the advantage of the small size. but the mode has not been studied sufficiently because it was not used extensively until now. In this paper. PZT + x[wt%] Cr₂O₃ ceramics with rhombohedral phase were fabricated. And temperature stability for the mode of the ceramic specimen was investigated. Contrary to our expectations. addition of the stabilizer. Cr₂O₃did not promote the temperature stability for the mode in the PZT ceramic specimen with rhombohedral phase.
Zr/Ti 비에 따른 PZT계 압전세라믹스의 온도안정성

In this paper, temperature stabilities of Pb( Zr_xTi_(1-x))O₃ piezoelectric ceramic system according to Zr/Ti ratios were investigated. PZT ceramics with Zr/Ti =58/42, 56/44, 53/47, 50/50, 48/52 which are adjacent compositions to Mophotyophic phase were fabricated, and thermal aging effects on the specimen were measured. After thermal aging. the specimens with Zr/Ti=58/42, 56/44, 48/52 in them could have lower temperature coefficient for antiresonant frequency and the specimen with Zr/Ti = 58/42 which is a composition of Rhombohedral phase have had the lowest temperature coefficient for antiresonant frequency.
