        MODELING AND CONTROL OF ENGINE STARTING FOR A FULL HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE BASED ON SYSTEM DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS

        This paper focuses on the dynamic modeling and control of engine starting for a Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV) consisting of an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and Dual Clutch Transmissions (DCTs). The dynamic characteristics of the engine, the ISG motor and the main clutch are analyzed respectively. The dynamic models of the main components of the powertrain system are also established taking the system dynamic characteristics into consideration. The FHEV dynamic model of engine starting during electric driving mode has been investigated in detail. The coordinated control strategy of engine starting has been proposed based on the powertrain system dynamic characteristics. The simulation for the engine starting control during electric driving mode has been performed based on the Matlab/Simulink platform. The simulation results show that the proposed control strategy satisfies the requirements of response and smoothness during engine starting process. Furthermore, a bench test has been carried out to analyze the system characteristics during engine starting process. The test data is highly agreeable to the simulation data and the effectiveness of engine starting control strategy is validated by the comparison between simulation results and the test data.

      • Alone in the Game : Dynamic Spread of Churn Behavior in a Large Social Network a Longitudinal Study in MMORPG

        Churn is a defection from a service provider. This study explores the role of social network in customers’ churn behavior .As the saying goes; customer is the god in service-based industries. Since the cost of customer acquisition is much greater than the cost of customer retention, customer churn prediction is more and more important. So far, research on churn prediction has involved user profile factors and social factors, but the analysis lacks interpretability and predictive horizon. In this paper, for a better understanding of churn behavior in MMORPG, we use longitudinal statistical models to examine whether the churn behavior in one person is associated with the churn of his friends on a complete data set of an entire society. Discernible clusters of active persons and inactive persons are visible in the network, and the relationship between people’s churn behavior extends up to three separations. Besides, we provide quantitative evidence for the strong ties hypothesis. The higher the number of common friends two persons have, the influence between them is more significant. At last, we use mixed effects cox models to predict churn in the future. Our study can provide a long forecast horizon, it is an obvious advantage to prevent the churn of a person.

        Polarization Maintaining Dichroic Beam-splitter and Its Surface Shape Control by Back Side AR Coating

        Dichroic beam-splitter (DBS) with polarization-maintaining took an important role in the free space quantum telecommunication tests on the Micius satellite of China. In this presentation, we designed and prepared a 50 layer polarization-maintaining DBS coating by a dual ion beam sputtering deposition (Dual-IBS) method. In order to solve a stress problem, an 18 layer special anti-reflection (AR) coating with similar physical thickness ratio was deposited on the backside. By stress compensation, the surface flatness RMS value of the DBS sample decreased from 0.341 λ (@632.8 nm) to 0.103 λ while beam splitting and polarization maintaining properties were almost kept unchanged. Further, we discussed the mechanism of film stress and stress compensation by equation deduction and found that total stress had a strong relationship with the total physical thickness and the ratio of layer materials.
