        Application of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Effectively Eliminates Endotoxemia to Protect Rat from Acute Liver Failure Induced by Thioacetamide

        Background: Endotoxemia is related to worse clinical outcomes in acute liver failure (ALF), but its management remains unsatisfactory. In this study, we aimed to assess whether the application of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) could eliminate endotoxemia and protect rats against ALF induced by thioacetamide (TAA). Methods: BMSCs were isolated from rats and identified by the specific morphology, differentiation potential, and surface markers. The optimal dose of TAA for this study was explored and TAA-induced ALF rats were randomized to three groups: the normal control group (Saline), ALF group (TAA + Saline), and BMSCs-treated group (TAA + BMSCs). The intestinal migration and differentiation of BMSCs was tracked in vivo, and intestinal permeability, endotoxin and inflammatory cytokines, histology, and mortality were analyzed. Moreover, we added the inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway into the co-culture system of BMSCs with enterocytes and then performed CK and Villin expression experiments to assess the role of PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway in the intestinal differentiation of BMSCs. Results: BMSCs migrated to the intestinal injury sites and differentiated into enterocytes, intestinal permeability was decreased compared with the ALF group. The higher expression of endotoxin and inflammatory cytokines were reversed after BMSCs transplantation in rats with ALF. Mortality and intestinal lesion were significantly decreased. Blocking the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway inhibited BMSCs’ intestinal differentiation in vitro. Conclusion: BMSCs can eliminate endotoxemia and reduce mortality in rats with ALF, and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway is involved in intestinal differentiation. BMSCs transplantation could be a potential candidate for the treatment of endotoxemia in ALF. .         On-orbit Reconfiguration Using Adaptive Dynamic Programming for Multi-mission-constrained Spacecraft Attitude Control System

        For the on-orbit reconfiguration problem of spacecraft attitude control systems under multi-mission constraints, the idea of a reinforcement-learning algorithm is adopted, and an adaptive dynamic programming algorithm for on-orbit reconfiguration decision-making that is based on a dual optimization index is proposed. Two optimization objectives, total mission reward and total control cost (energy consumption), are defined to obtain the optimal reconfiguration policy of the spacecraft attitude control system reconfiguration, and the on-orbit reconfiguration model for multi-mission constraints is established. Then, based on the Bellman optimality principle, the optimal reconfiguration policy formulated by the discrete HJB equation is obtained. Since the HJB equation is difficult to solve accurately, a method of bi-objective adaptive dynamic programming is proposed to obtain the optimal reconfiguration policy. This method constructs a mission network and an energy network. The method then adopts a Q-learning-based algorithm to train the networks to estimate the values of total mission reward and total control cost to achieve the on-orbit optimal reconfiguration decision under multi-mission constraints. Simulation results for different cases demonstrate the validity and rationality of the proposed method.

        Bi-Directional Wireless Power Transfer for Vehicle-to-Grid Systems

        A current sourced bi-directional wireless power transfer (WPT) system is proposed to solve the problems that exist in the bi-directional WPT for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) systems. These problems include the fact that these systems are not safe enough, the output power is limited and the control methods are complicated. Firstly, the proposed system adopts two different compensation and control methods on both the primary and secondary sides. Secondly, based on an AC impedance analysis, the working principle is analyzed and the parameter configuration method with frequency stability is given. In order to output a constant voltage, a bi-directional DC/DC circuit and a controllable rectifier bridge are adopted, which are based on the “constant primary current, constant secondary voltage” control strategy. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods are verified by experimental results.

        Sensor Fault Estimation and Compensation for Microsatellite Attitude Control Systems

        In this paper, the problem of sensor fault estimation and compensation for microsatellite attitude dynamics is investigated by using a descriptor system approach. Firstly, a linear model of microsatellite attitude dynamics is given. Based on the proposed linear microsatellite attitude dynamics, an augmented descriptor system is constructed by letting the sensor fault term be an auxiliary state vector. Using linear matrix inequality approach, a state-space observer is designed for the augmented de-scriptor microsatellite attitude dynamics, which can estimate microsatellite attitude dynamics state vector and sensor fault simultaneously. In terms of the estimated sensor fault information, sensor fault compensation is also performed. Finally, a simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness and potential of the proposed techniques.

        One new tirucallane-type triterpenoid, alianthusaltinin A (1), one new C29 sterone, alianthaltone A (2), and 12 known compounds have been isolated from the stem bark of Ailanthus altissima. The structures of new compounds were identified by means of spectroscopic methods. Compound 3 was isolated from natural sources for the first time, and compounds 4, 5, and 9 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

        Establishment and Simulation Analysis of 18 DOF Unified Dynamics Model of Automobile Chassis

        The unified dynamics modeling of automobile chassis is the foundation of the chassis integrated control. Previous researches mainly focused on one or two subsystems, which could not fully reflect the dynamics characteristics of automobile chassis. In this paper, a unified dynamics mathematical model involving 18 degrees of freedom (DOF) of a two-axle vehicle is established to evaluate the ride comfort and handling stability of the vehicle, based on the coupling relationship of vehicle longitudinal, lateral and vertical dynamics. In order to verify the correctness of the 18-DOF unified dynamics model, the following three methods are used: 1) comparison with other four submodels, 2) experimental verification and 3) co-simulation test. Both simulation and test results indicate that the unified dynamics mathematical model can be used to evaluate the comprehensive dynamics performance of automobile chassis, and it is beneficial for the subsequent research of chassis integrated control system.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Mesoporous Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O particles with different morphologies were synthesized via simple one-pot reactions. Effects of reducing agents, dispersant, template, and temperature on the <B>structure</B> of the prepared materials were investigated. Mesoporous flower-shaped Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O materials were obtained at 70℃ using glucose <B>as a reductant</B>. Different hollow microsphere shapes of Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O could be prepared at 40℃ using <B>another type of reductant, ascorbic acid</B>. The results indicated that the uniform morphology of synthesized Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O with mesopores presented a maximum specific surface area of 45.3m<SUP>2</SUP>/g. Furthermore, the as-prepared Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O particles showed good photodegradation efficiencies of methyl orange in the range of 86.0–93.7%, depending on their morphologies.</P>

        Novel copolymers with intrinsic microporosity containing tetraphenyl-bipyrimidine for enhanced gas separation

        The gas separation of polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) was enhanced by incorporatingbipyrimidine (bpy) into the polymer (PIM-bpy-x) through the polycondensation of a novel tetraphenyl-bipyrimidine monomer. The structures of PIM-bpy-x were investigated with 1H NMR and FT-IR. Becauseof the excellent heat resistance imparted by the tetraphenyl-bipyrimidine unit, PIM-bpy-x displayedbetter thermal stability than did PIM-1. These polymers displayed large Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET)surface areas, ranging from 656 to 728 m2 g 1. The BET surface area of PIM-bpy-5 was 728 m2 g 1, whichwas similar to that of PIM-1 (774 m2 g 1). PIM-bpy-x exhibited excellent gas separation performance. PIM-bpy-5 showed the highest CO2 permeability (5141 barrer), which was much higher than that of PIM-1 (4234 barrer). The increase in CO2 permeability is due to the affinity between the N-rich bipyrimidineunits and CO2. Furthermore, PIM-bpy-x also showed greater resistance to aging than did PIM-1. All of theabove indicate that introducing bipyrimidine units into the polymers can enhance the gas separationperformance of PIMs.
