        芍藥의 自家不和合性 類型

        This study was conducted to determine the pattern of self-incompatibility through self-and cross-pollination in two varieties of herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pallas). After self-pollination with the pollens of same variety, pollen tubes have germinated and grown into style tissue. However, the pollen tubes have arrested the growth in the mid of growing stage. This pattern was a different from that of sporophytic self-incompatibility. In the case of sporophytic self-incompatibility, self-pollinated pollens are not germinated on the style in normal, but if the pollens do, they do not penetrate into style tissue. From these phenomena, the pattern of self-incompatibility in herbaceous peony is assumed gametophytic self-incompatibility. For more precise research, protein analysis using SDS-PAGE and RNase activity stain gel electrophoresis was conducted. In SDS-PAGE analysis, two major proteins (21.5 and 28-kDa) was detected, and ribonuclease activity was tested in activity stain gel. Ribonucleatic activity is a unique characteristic of stylar proteins of gametophytic self-incompatibility plants reported previously. From these results, we concluded that P. lactiflora has a gametophytic self-incompatibility.

        This study was conducted to obtain the basic informations on the selection for the early and high-yielding lines in F_(2) populations of wheat. Two combinations such as Olmil-Saemil cross and Naphal-Cheonggemil cross and their eight populations were used and genetic parameters of genetic variances and path-coefficients for agronomic traits mainly in F_(2) populations were analyzed. Genetic coefficient of variability in Olmil-Saemil cross was higher in harvest index, grain number, grain yield and plant height in decreasing order, but in Naphal-Cheonggemil cross harvest index, plant height, and 1,000-grain weight were higher in order. Heading and maturing dates, plant height, and harvest index showed high hertability (0.525 - 0.808) in both crosses, but very low heritabilities were observed in grain numbers per panicle and yield. In both crosses, genetic advances(%) was higher in heading and maturing stage, but lowest in yield. High genetic advance was obtained in 1,000-grain weight of Naphal-Cheong-gemil cross. The highly significant correlations between yield and panicle number, yield and grain number per panicle were obtained, and the highest direct effect on yield was obtained in panicle number followed by grain number per pancle number.
