Huang, Nan-Jing,Zhang, Wen-Bin 한국전산응용수학회 1997 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.4 No.2
In this paper we introduce and study a new class of completely generalized mildly nonlinear complementarity problems for fuzzy mappings and construct some new iterative algorithms. We also show the existence of solution and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm. Our results extend some recent results of Noor, Chang and huang.

Huang, Bin-Bin,Gao, Qing-Mei,Liang, Wei,Xiu, Bing,Zhang, Wen-Jun,Liang, Ai-Bin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.5
Objective: To investigate the effect of down-regulation of Sentrin/SUMO-specific protease 1 (SENP1) expression on the apoptosis of human Burkitt lymphoma cells (Daudi cells) and potential mechanisms. Methods: Short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting SENP1 was designed and synthesized and then cloned into a lentiviral vector. A lentiviral packaging plasmid was used to transfect Daudi cells (sh-SENP1-Daudi group). Daudi cells without transfection (Daudi group) and Daudi cells transfected with blank plasmid (sh-NC-Daudi group) served as control groups. Flow cytometry was performed to screen GFP positive cells and semiquantitative PCR and Western blot assays were employed to detect the inference efficiency. The morphology of cells was observed under a microscope before and after transfection. Fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot assays were conducted to measure the mRNA and protein expression of apoptosis related molecules (caspase-3, 8 and 9). After treatment with $COCl_2$ for 24 h, the mRNA and protein expression of hypoxia inducible factor -$1{\alpha}$ (HIF-$1{\alpha}$) was determined. Results: Sequencing showed the expression vectors of shRNA targeting SENP1 to be successfully constructed. Following screening of GFP positive cells by FCM, semiqualitative PCR showed the interference efficiency was $79.2{\pm}0.026%$. At 48 h after transfection, the Daudi cells became shrunken, had irregular edges and presented apoptotic bodies. Western blot assay revealed increase in expression of caspase-3, 8 and 9 with prolongation of transfection (P<0.05). Following hypoxia treatment, mRNA expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ remained unchanged in three groups (P>0.05) but the protein expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ markedly increased (P<0.05). However, in the sh-SENP1-Daudi group, the protein expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ remained unchanged Conclusion: SENP1-shRNA can efficiently inhibit SENP1 expression in Daudi cells. SENP1 inhibition may promote cell apoptosis. These findings suggest that SENP1 may serve as an important target in the gene therapy of Burkitts lymphoma.

Aim: To study any correlation of LKB1 expression with prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases. Methods: A total of 70 HCC patients and 20 primary intrahepatic stone patients in the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical College were enrolled in this study. LKB1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Patients were followed-up and prognostic factors were evaluated. Result: LKB1 expression was decreased in the HCC samples. Loss of LKB1 expression in HCC was significantly related to histologic grade (P=0.010), vascular invasion (P=0.025) and TMN stage (P=0.011). Patients showing negative LKB1 expression had a significantly shorter disease-free and overall survival than those with positive expression (P = 0.001, P=0.000, respectively). Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that LKB1 expression level was an independent factor of survival (P = 0.033). Conclusion: HCC patients with decreased expression LKB1 have a poor prognosis. The loss of LKB1 expression is correlated with a lower survival rate.

Huang, Bin,Fontaine, Nicolas K.,Ryf, Roland,Guan, Binbin,Leon-Saval, Sergio G.,Shubochkin, R.,Sun, Y.,Lingle, R.,Li, Guifang The Optical Society 2015 Optics express Vol.23 No.1
<P>We demonstrate the first all-fiber mode-group-selective photonic lantern using multimode graded-index fibers. Mode selectivity for mode groups LP(01), LP(11) and LP(21)+LP(02) is 20-dB, 10-dB and 7-dB respectively. The insertion loss when butt coupled to multimode graded-index fiber is below 0.6-dB. The use of the multimode graded-index fibers in the taper can significantly reduce the adiabaticity requirement.</P>
Frequency response analysis of a delaminated smart composite plate
Huang, Bin,Kim, Heung Soo Sage Science Press (UK) 2015 Journal of intelligent material systems and struct Vol. No.
<P>A frequency analysis of smart composite plate with delamination at ply interface was investigated in this article. The modeling was based on an electro-mechanical coupled improved layerwise theory, with implementing finite element method. Four-node plate elements with Lagrange and Hermite cubic interpolation functions were used for in-plane structural unknowns, electric unknowns, and out-of-plane structural unknowns. The general modal reduction method was applied to solve the second-order differential equation. Numerical results showed significant shift of natural frequencies in the frequency response of tip displacement and three sensor outputs due to the presence of delamination. It is found that the delamination locations also influence the natural frequencies of smart composite structure. Thus, the proposed methodology could be a useful tool to develop system identification and structural health monitoring techniques of smart composite structure.</P>

Huang, Yuan,Wang, Xiao,Zhang, Xu,Chen, Xianjue,Li, Baowen,Wang, Bin,Huang, Ming,Zhu, Chongyang,Zhang, Xuewei,Bacsa, Wolfgang S.,Ding, Feng,Ruoff, Rodney S. American Physical Society 2018 Physical Review Letters Vol.120 No.18
<P>Raman spectra of large graphene bubbles showed size-dependent oscillations in spectral intensity and frequency, which originate from optical standing waves formed in the vicinity of the graphene surface. At a high laser power, local heating can lead to oscillations in the Raman frequency and also create a temperature gradient in the bubble. Based on Raman data, the temperature distribution within the graphene bubble was calculated, and it is shown that the heating effect of the laser is reduced when moving from the center of a bubble to its edge. By studying graphene bubbles, both the thermal conductivity and chemical reactivity of graphene were assessed. When exposed to hydrogen plasma, areas with bubbles are found to be more reactive than flat graphene.</P>

Huang, Guo-Liang,Guo, Hong-Qiang,Yang, Feng,Liu, Ou-Fei,Li, Bin-Bin,Liu, Xing-Yan,Lu, Yan,He, Zhi-Wei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.3
Objective: Identifying cancer-related genes or proteins is critical in preventing and controlling colorectal cancer (CRC). This study was to investigate the clinicopathological and prognostic value of activating transcription factor 1 (ATF1) in CRC. Methods: Protein expression of ATF1 was detected using immunohistochemistry in 66 CRC tissues. Clinicopathological association of ATF1 in CRC was analyzed with chi-square test or Fisher's exact test. The prognostic value of ATF1 in CRC is estimated using the Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox regression models. Results: The ATF1 protein expression was significantly lower in tumor tissues than corresponding normal tissues (51.5% and 71.1%, respectively, P = 0.038). No correlation was found between ATF1 expression and the investigated clinicopathological parameters, including gender, age, depth of invasion, lymph node status, metastasis, pathological stage, vascular tumoral emboli, peritumoral deposits, chemotherapy and original tumor site (all with P > 0.05). Patients with higher ATF1 expression levels have a significantly higher survival rate than that with lower expression (P = 0.026 for overall survival, P = 0.008 for progress free survival). Multivariate Cox regression model revealed that ATF1 expression and depth of invasion were the predictors of the overall survival (P = 0.008 and P = 0.028) and progress free survival (P = 0.002 and P = 0.005) in CRC. Conclusions: Higher ATF1 expression is a predictor of a favorable outcome for the overall survival and progress free survival in CRC.
Comparative Study and Electrochemical Properties of LiFePO4F Synthesized by Different Routes
Bin Huang,Suqin Liu,Hongliang Li,Shuxin Zhuang,Dong Fang 대한화학회 2012 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.33 No.7
To improve the performance of LiFePO4F, a novel sol-gel process is developed. For comparison, ceramic process is also implemented. From X-ray diffraction results we know that each sample adopts a triclinic P1 space group, and they are isostructural with amblygonite and tavorite. The scanning electron microscope images show that the homogeneous grains with the dimension of 300-500 nm is obtained by the sol-gel process; meanwhile the sample particles obtained by ceramic process are as big as 1000-3000 nm. By galvanostatic tests and at electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method, the sample obtained by sol-gel process presents better electrochemical properties than the one obtained by ceramic process.
Interlaminar Stress Analysis of Laminated Piezo-composite Structure
Huang Bin(황빈),Heung Soo Kim(김흥수) 대한기계학회 2011 대한기계학회 춘추학술대회 Vol.2011 No.10
A stress function based method is proposed to analyze the interlaminar stresses at the free edge of a piezo-bonded composite laminated structure. Two piezoelectric actuators are symmetrically surface bonded on composite laminate. Same electric fields are applied to the two symmetric piezoelectric actuators which can generate induced strain, resulting in pure extension on the laminated plate. The stresses that satisfy the traction-free boundary conditions at the free edge and at the top and bottom surfaces of the laminate are obtained by using the complementary virtual work principle. Cross-ply laminates are analyzed. To verify the proposed method, the stress concentrations predicted by the present method are compared with those analyzed by the finite element method. The results provide that the stress function based analysis of piezo-bonded laminated composite structure is an efficient and accurate method for the initial design stage of piezo-composite structure.
