In this paper, we consider the finite form of the continued fraction found in the unorganized material, Entry 9 [2], and give the sum of n terms. We give the n th convergent series in two ways-one by simple expansion and the other by using partition theory.
Particle Stabilized Wet Foam to Prepare SiO<sub>2</sub>-SiC Porous Ceramics by Colloidal Processing

Porous ceramics with tailored pore size and shape are promising materials for the realization of a number of functional and structural properties. A novel method has been reported for the investigation of the role of SiC in the formation of $SiO_2$ foams by colloidal wet processing. Within a suitable pH range of 9.9 ~ 10.5 $SiO_2$, particles were partially hydrophobized using hexylamine as an amphiphile. Different mole ratios of the SiC solution were added to the surface modified $SiO_2$ suspension. The contact angle was found to be around $73^{\circ}$, with an adsorption free energy $6.8{\times}10^{-12}J$. The Laplace pressure of about 1.25 ~ 1.6 mPa was found to correspond to a wet foam stability of about 80 ~ 85%. The mechanical and thermal properties were analyzed for the sintered ceramics, with the highest compressive load observed at the mole ratio of 1:1.75. Hertzian indentations are used to evaluate the damage behavior under constrained loading conditions of $SiO_2$-SiC porous ceramics.

In this paper, we have discussed threshold voltage and drain induced barrier lowering in NCFET. Threshold voltage in NCFET is lower as compared to MOSFET which is mainly because of negative equivalent oxide capacitance in NCFET. Further, we have discussed drain induced barrier lowering in NCFET and MOSFET. An increase in drain bias in MOSFET leads to decrease in threshold voltage and an increase in leakage current whereas in NCFET increase in drain bias leads to increase in threshold voltage and decrease in leakage current. We have obtained a positive value of DIBL factor for MOSFET and negative value for NCFET.

We investigated nanotextured Si solar cells using the silver-assisted chemical etching process. The nanotexturing process is very sensitive to the concentration of chemical etching solution. The high concentration process results in a nanowire formation for the nanosurfaces and causes severe surface damage to the top region of the micropyramids. These nanowires show excellent light absorption in photoreflectance spectra and radiative light emission in photoluminescence spectra. However, the low concentration process forms a nano-roughened surface and provides high minority carrier lifetimes. The nano-roughened surfaces of the samples show the improved electrical cell properties of quantum efficiency, conversion efficiency, and cell fill factor due to the reduction in the formation of the over-doped dead layer.
Seasonal Variability of Sonic Layer Depth in the Central Arabian Sea

The seasonal variability of sonic layer depth (SLD) in the central Arabian Sea (CAS) (0 to $25^{\circ}N$ and $62-66^{\circ}E$) was studied using the temperature and salinity (T/S) profiles from Argo floats for the years 2002-2006. The atmospheric forcing responsible for the observed changes was explored using the meteorological data from NCEP/NCAR and Quickscat winds. SLD was obtained from sound velocity profiles computed from T/S data. Net heat flux and wind forcing regulated SLD in the CAS. Up-welling and down-welling (Ekman dynamics) associated with the Findlater Jet controlled SLD during the summer monsoon. While in winter monsoon, cooling and convective mixing regulated SLD in the study region. Weak winds, high insolation and positive net heat flux lead to the formation of thin, warm and stratified sonic layer during pre and post summer monsoon periods, respectively.
