        A Signal Control Model Integrating Arterial Intersections and Freeway Off-ramps

        Vehicles on urban freeway off-ramps often have difficulty in exiting due to congestion on the arterial routes. The resulting queue on the off-ramp generates a spillover onto the mainstream of the urban freeways, leading to serious problems such as decreased capacity and traffic safety. In this study, a signal control model for minimizing the total delay of off-ramps and connected downstream arterial roads is developed. The results demonstrate the proposed model’s ability to reduce the delay of off-ramp and freeway mainstream. The developed model calculates an optimal signal time at off-ramps and arterial intersections by a linear programming technique with a variety of variables such as traffic volume, link length, and queue length. The simulation results show that as the traffic volumes of both off-ramps and arterials approach the saturation flow, the proposed model can increase the number of throughputs at off-ramps, decrease the average delay of whole links, and prevent the decrease of capacity on the mainstream of urban freeways by reducing the queue length at off-ramps. Especially, the reductions in the average delay time of whole links are 21.5% and 13.0%compared to T7F model and Sequential Control Model, respectively.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate blood constituents after floor exercise, horizontal bar exercise and vaulting horse exercise in male gymnastic players. These subjects were 4 volunteers who agreed with intention of this study. The results of the statistical analyses of cholesterol, glucose, total protein and albumin in blood components were as follows. 1) Cholesterol values of Seo, JC(6.0%) were more decreased than that of Kang, SH(4.6%). 2) Glucose values of Rha, HL(-15.0㎎%) were higher decreased than that of the other. 3) Total protein values after exercise were slightly decreased both in Shin, GS(-0.3g%) and in Kang, SH(-0.4g%) respectively and highly decreased both in Seo, JC(-0.4g%) and in Rha, HL(-0.5g%) respectively. 4) Albumin values after exercise were slightly decreased in Kang, SH(-0.23g%) and highly decreased in Seo, JC(-0.41g%).

        The purpose of this tudy is to investigate the present status of traumatic injury caused to techniques by events and by parts of body.For this study, I chose all 118 subjects (male players)among players to perform exercise (including competition)between April 20, 1987 and May 30. The results of this study are as follows : 1.The traumatic injuries of 115 Cases (40 items in 3 events)happened in 118 subjects, the ratio of occurrence per each is about a time. 2.In Vaulting horse, the traumatic injuries of 36 cases happened and in those, what happened most is Tsukahara tucked of 7 cases (19.4%). 3.In pommel horse, the traumatic injuries of 28cases happened and in those, what happened most is Direct Stockli A of 7 cases (25.0%) 4.In Horizontal Bar, the traumatic injuries of 8 cases(15.7%)happened in Tkatshev, those of 7 cases(13.7%)in double salto backward tucked dismount, those of 6 cases (11.8%)in From Giant Sluing backward to dismount. 5.The traumatic injury in pommel horse happened in Reverse single Hand Half circle, that in vaulting horde and Horizontal bar happened in somersault and stuts Dismount. 6.The parts of traumatic injury caused to Diect stockli A of pommel horse were wrist joint and Hand.What caused to Tsukahara ucked of valulting horse were knee and Ancle joint, what caused o Tkatschev of Horizontal bar was shoulder. 7.The present status of parts caused traumatic injury is as follows : wrist joint in pommel horse was 9 cases(32.2%), Knee in vaulting horse 10 cases (27.8%)and shoulder in Horizontal bar 18 cases (35.3%)

      • 女子體操選手의 自由演技 技術과 外傷에 關한 硏究 : Centering around uneven bars, and horse vault

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the present status of traumatic injuries caused to techniques by events and by parts of body. For this study, I chose all 128 subjects among female players to perform exercise between February 1, 1994 and October 15. The results of this study are as follows; 1. The traumatic injuries of 139 cases (42 items in 2 events) happened in 128 subjects, the ratio of occurrence per each is about a time. 2. In uneven bars, the traumatic injuries of 86 cases happened and in those, what happened most is Salto forward, tucked, over LB to brief sit of 10 cases(11.6%). 3. In horse vault, the traumatic injuries of 53 cases happened and in those, what happened most is Tsukahara with tucked 1/1 turn of 8 cases (15.0%) and is 1/1 turn on ?? Salto for ward of 10 cases (19.1%). 4. The present status of parts caused traumatic injury is as follows; hip joint in uneven bars es 16 cases, shoulder is 15 cases, ane shoulder in horse vault is 9 cases, ancle joint is 8 cases.

      • 男子體操選手 自由演技構成과 難度에 關한 技術分析 : Centering Around Horse Vaulting, Rings and Horizontal Bar 跳馬, 吊環, 鐵棒을 中心으로

        This study aimed to analyze the present technical situation by events and by difficulties in the free performance. For this, I sampled 92 male gymnastic players who participated in the fifteenth Boy's national athletic meet opened from May 20, 1986 to May 26, 1986 and the sixty-seventh national athletic meet opened from June 20, 1986 to June 25, 1986. I attained conclusion as follows: 1. In the two events (Rings: 463 cases, Horizontal Bar: 420 cases) excepting a single technic event, Horse Vaulting among the techniques of the total 1,084 cases (Horse vaulting: 201 cases, Rings: 463 cases, Horizontal Bar: 420 cases), the ratio which a player per event normally Composed more than ten techniques was about 47.9%. 2. Most applied technique appeared as follows: Tsukahara streched in C difficulty of Horse Vaulting was 34.8% (32 cases of 92 players ), Giant Swing Backward To Hand stand in C difficulty of Rings was 46.7% (43 cases of 92 players), Giant swing Forward in A difficulty of Horizontal Bar was 44.6% (41 cases of 92 players). The above techniques was used most when the players performed C and D difficulty. 3. The highest component ratio in difficulty by events appeared as follows: Horizontal Bar in A difficulty was 62.4%, Rings in B difficulty was 59.1%, Rings in C difficulty was 46.2%, Horse vaulting in D difficulty was 46.8% 4. On the whole, the component ratio of most applied difficulty, a high-class difficulty (C part) appeared as 35% of the Whole difficulty. 5. The more player compose the technique of a high-class difficulty, the more the ratio of the attainment of player's performance show a broken line. 6. As many players composed the difficulty of popular technique, the difficulty of the ratio appeared markedly.

        Regardless of the growth of physique, skinfold decreased.In correlation between physique and skinfold, high reverse correlation appeared in abdominal region of female players in adult division, obvious reverse correlation appeared in thigh(upper). In female players in college division, cheek between standing height and body weight showed very high correlation and the abdominal skinfold in abdominal circumference showed very high correlation.The obvious correlation mostly appeared in flank and specially high reverse correlation between thigh(lower)and chest circumference apperaed. In this conclusion, the wide difference between the adults and college students appeared.The quantity of training and life environment between the adults and the college students must to research deeply in future.

        The purpose of this study is investigate the present status of traumatic injury caused to techniques by events and by parts of body.For this study, I chose all 137 Subjects (male players) among players to perform exercise (including Competition) between April 24, 1987 and April 25. The results of this study are as follows ; 1.The traumatic injuries of 246 cases (62 Kinds) happend in 137 Subjects, the ratio of occurrence per each is about two times. 2.In Floor Exercise, the traumatic injuries of 107 cases happend and in those, what happend most is Double Backward tucked to stand of 21 cases(19.6%). 3.In Rings, what happened most is Giant Swing Backward of 18 cases(26.5%). 4.In parallel Bars, the traumatic injuries of 19 cases (23.4%) happend in salto Backward to still Handstand. 5.Like appearing in three events, What showed most traumatic injury is technique performed backwards. 6.In Rings, the parts of body happened most traumatic injury is shoulder in Giant swing Backward and Floor Exercise, ancle joint in Double salto forward tucked to Stand, hand in Salto Backward to still Handstand. 7.The present status of parts Caused traumatic injury is as follows ; ancle joint in Floor Exercise is 35 Cases (32.7%), Shoulder in Rings 19 Cases (28%) and hand in parallel Bars 22 Cases (27.2%).
