Puropse: This study was aimed at extracting and evaluating the relative importance of nurse officers` nursing tasks at a divisional healthcare unit and thereby highlighting important roles of the nurse officer. Methods: Nineteen nurse officers who are working at the divisional healthcare unit were involved in this study and asked to complete a questionnaire. The parameters were evaluated by frequency priority competency and critical index of nurse officers` tasks. Results: Joining small meetings inspecting facilities task reports washing hand and turning over patients were ranked as the most frequent jobs while oral hygiene had the lowest performance frequency. The parameters which ranked highly in critical index were requesting tests artificial respiration assessment of respiration and O2 therapy which are closely associated with human vitality while oral hygiene and bed baths were ranked the lowest importance index and related to personal hygiene. Checking vital signs human body measurement medication dressing education for patients and health promotion were associated with direct nursing practice and were found to be highly ranked in nursing competency while oral hygiene management for hazardous job worker research were ranked the lowest in the nursing competence parameter. Conclusion: Health promotion task of the nurse officer at the unit all of the nurse officers were being loaded with tasks related to the other basic medical systems at the unit such as infection control and in-out patient care. Thus additional numbers of nurse officers at the unit are strongly needed.
시뮬레이션 교육이 간호장교의 전문심장소생술 수행자신감에 미치는 효과

Purpose : This study was conducted to evaluate the improved self-confidence among nursing officers who participated the ACLS(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) training program. The participants were trained at the military OAC(Officer Advanced Course) Program on November, 2011. Methods : Subjects consist of all the 14 nursing officers in the course. Study design was one group pretest-posttest design. The simulation program of ACLS was implemented to 14 nursing officers. The entire program consists of a 6 hour program and was evaluated by the self-confidence checklist. A modified megacode test checklist was used. After training, simulation program satisfaction questionnaire was used. Results : Pretest self-confidence score was 70.43±8.19. Posttest score was 89.21(±7.21)(z= -3.30 p< .01). ACLS program improved the self-confidence score. The participants responded positively on the simulation ACLS program satisfaction, ``useful and interesting`` 4.45(±3.5). The program satisfaction is an average of 3.90(±.28). Conclusion : This study shows that simulation training for Nursing officers is useful to improve performance confidence in emergency cardiovascular problem situations. Further research is needed in the implementation of simulation training in nursing officer.
