To detect islanding mode when the grid is being tripped is a major safety issue in utility interactive PV(UIPV) system. And one of the widely used techniques to detect islanding mode are Reactive power variation (RPV)method and Active frequency drift (AFD)method. In this paper, analytical design method is suggested for AFD method under IEEE recommended islanding test condition. And in order to show the validity of proposed method, EMPT based simulation was done for UIPV system with AFD method. Results shows proposed method is very useful.

Recently the harmonic generation has deteriorated the quality of electricity and affected the performance on the electrical installation including personal computer, fax, community devices and so on. Some studies of harmonic affects in diagnosis and the cause of accident has not done by the experimental data of harmonic source but merely by presumption according to qualitative analysis. So, in order to research the harmonic affect on the electrical installation according to quantitative analysis and gather reliable data over and over again, it is necessary to develop an Harmonic power source which is capable of generating some harmonics. In this paper, we described about realization of Harmonic power source control module which can produce and added harmonics for the analysis due to harmonic effects.

This paper presented a actual conditions on a false-tripping of ELB(Earth Leakage Breakers) and an assessment of the harmonics due to non-linear electronic equipment such as personal computers, rectifier, electric furnace and test equipments in plant installations. Actual conditions on a failure of ELB were surveyed and analyzed by making up a question to safety managers of plant installations. Also, power quality measurements such as harmonic currents, voltage and current waveform and current imbalance were made at various plant installations where nuisance tripping of ELB is often occurred. The results of this study can be used in making decisions regarding cause of ELB trip and operating and tripping characteristics test of ELB when subjected to distorted current waveform.

현재 태양광, 풍력 및 연료전지 즉, 신재생에너지를 많이 사용하게 됨으로써 이를 계통과 병렬로 연결하여 쓰고 있다. 그러나 계통에 연결할 경우 여러 가지 문제가 발생할 수가 있는데 그중에서 대표적으로 단독운전을 들 수가 있다. 이를 방지하기 위한 검출기능은 시스템의 안전성 및 전기적 안전성 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 단독운전 검출을 위한 RPV 방식 및 제어알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 계통의 전압 위상을 기준으로 전류위상각도에 따른 주파수 변동 특성을 해석하였다. 해석 및 제안된 방법의 타당성은 EMTP 및 Matlab 을 이용하여 검증하였다.
