본 연구에서는 포스트 코로나 시대에서 유아 숲교육의 의미를 고찰하여 한국 유아교육에서 숲교육의 필요성과 중요성을 정리하였다. 숲교육은 자연과의 조화로운 관계를 바탕으로 유아의 전인적인 발달을 돕는 교육으로 자연물을 놀잇감과 교구로 활용하고 숲 자체를 유아교육기관으로 삼아 진행된다. 즉 유아에게 있어 최고의 교사가 자연이고, 유아가 자연과 마음껏 교감하고 놀이하는 그 자체가 배움이고, 삶이고, 교육이다. 유아의 숲놀이는 유아의 신체발달, 사회성발달. 정서발달, 인지발달을 향상시키고, 더불어 생명존중사상, 예술적 경험, 언어능력, 창의성발달 등 전인적 교육이 이루어지는 교육이다. 전세계를 뒤덮은 코로나19는 학교현장의 변화를 가져왔다. 비대면 교육, 학습자 중심 교육, 생태학적 관점의 교육으로 특징을 정리할 수 있는데 이러한 포스트 코로나 시대의 교육특징은 유아숲교육의 가치와 맞닿아있다. 유아 숲교육의 가치인 생명과 자연존중 사상이 국가 수준의 유아교육 과정인 2019 개정 누리과정 목표에 자연과 인간에 대한 배려와 존중이 명시되어 있고 야외인숲놀이를 통한 거리두기, 유아중심 자유놀이를 통해 학습자 중심의 교육을 실현하고 있다. 따라서 유아 숲교육이 포스트 코로나 시대에 적절한 유아교육임을 고찰하였다. This study examines the meaning of forest education for early childhood in the post-Corona era and outlined the necessity and importance of forest education in Korean early childhood education. Forest education is an education that helps children develop their whole body based on harmonious relations with nature, and is conducted using nature as a play and teaching tool, and using the forest itself as an institution for early childhood education. In other words, the best teacher for infants is nature, and it is learning, life, and education for infants to communicate and play with nature to their fullest. The forest play of infants is the physical development and social development of infants. It is an education that improves emotional development, cognitive development, and provides universal education such as life-respecting thoughts, artistic experiences, language skills, and creativity development. The Corona19, which covered the world, brought about changes in the school scene. Non-face-to-face education, learner-centered education, and ecological education, which are characteristic of education in the post-corona age with the value of early childhood forest education. The value of forest education for infants, life and respect for nature, are specified in the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum goal, which is a state-level infant education course, and learners-oriented education is realized through outdoor forest play and infant-centered free play. Therefore, it was considered that forest education for infants was appropriate for the post-corona era.
