In this paper, a thermofluidic analysis of a single battery module and its cooling jacket is numerically studied using OpenFOAM. The battery module model was made up of 12 cells, a thermal interface material (TIM), a cooling jacket, and 50/50 EGW(Ethylene Glycol Water) coolant. Transient temperature fields were calculated up to 100s for various heat generation condition from 5 to 30W per cell and coolant flow rate from 2 to 10 lpm. The results were compared against a thermal network model and the two results agreed to within 5K.
