Euro 6 M1 배기규제 대응을 위한 중소형경유차량의 Urea-SCR system

Diesel engines have recently been praised because of its high compression ratio, high thermal efficiency, and low fuel consumption compared to those of gasoline engines. However, to reach the high standard Euro 6 M1 regulations considering PM and NOx of light-duty diesel vehicles, it will be necessary to apply the CDPF and the DeNOx catalysts for restraining both PM and NOx emission. The described system consists of a catalytic configuration, in which the CDPF is placed in the downstream of a diesel engine and followed by a urea injection unit and a Urea-SCR catalyst. This paper illustrates the Urea-SCR system’s optimization process having light-duty diesel vehicles to meet Euro 6 M1 emission regulation. We designed the Urea-SCR system by choosing catalyst development and exhaust layout; We also made strategy for reductant injector control. In these methods, We evaluated NOx reduction performance in NEDC-2000 vehicle driving cycle by optimizing the Urea-SCR system. Consequentially, Our optimization of Urea-SCR system for light-duty vehicles satisfied the Euro 6 M1 emission regulations.
