유격훈련이 신체조성과 혈중 지질치 및 운동 능력에 미치는 영향

Objectives: Soldiers are expected to maintain the highest possible level of physical strength and health for military operation. The ranger training augments individual physical readiness of each solider for combat situation. However, there are fewer researches for ranger training. Hence, we research and analyze the changes of body composition, physical fitness and lipid profile among a group of soldiers during a week of ranger training. Methods: 68 of young men were enrolled in their ranger training program and one man was excluded. Before and after the training, Body composition was measured by bioelectrical impedance assessments (BIA). Lipid profile and physical fitness was also assessed. Results: After one week, 51 men completed the training and 16 men did not complete. Fat mass, fat percentage and visceral fat gained among the completed training group. LDL cholesterol of both group decreased. After the training, increased grip and leg power and agility of both group were resulted. However balance and flexibility increased only in completed training group Conclusions: one week ranger training could reinforce some of physical performance but could not be enough to improve body composition and lipid profile of soldiers. Hence, at the sight of individual health, we need to consider reforming ranger training.
