Group B streptococcus (GBS) is the leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality. Late-onset GBS disease commonly manifests as occult bacteremia or meningitis. Approximately 50% of survivors of late-onset meningitis have long-term neurologic sequelae. Cerebrovascular complications are often associated with unfavorable clinical outcomes of GBS meningitis. There have been a few reports of cerebral infarction accompanied by GBS meningitis. We report a 29-day-old girl with severe, widespread cerebral infarction due to late-onset GBS meningitis. Isolated GBS strain from this patient was serotype III, ST-19. Currently, she has cortical blindness and significant developmental delay.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines in children aged 5-11 years, a rapid systematic review was conducted on published clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines and studies that analyzed real-world data on adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination. Methods: A systematic search was conducted on medical literature in international (Ovid-MEDLINE) and pre-published literature databases (medRxiv), followed by handsearching up to January 4, 2022. We used terms including COVID-19, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, and vaccines, and the certainty of evidence was graded using the GRADE approach. Results: A total of 1,675 studies were identified, of which five were finally selected. Among the five studies, four consisted of data from clinical trials of each of the four types of COVID-19 vaccines (BNT162b2, mRNA-1273, CoronaVac, and BBIBP-CorV). The remaining study consisted of real-world data on the safety of the BNT162b2 vaccine in children aged 5-11 years. This systematic review identified that COVID-19 vaccines in recipients aged 5-11 years produced a favorable immune response, and were vaccines were effective against COVID-19. The safety findings for the BNT162b2 vaccine in children and early adolescents aged 5-11 years were similar to those data noted in the clinical trial. Conclusions: There is limited data on COVID-19 vaccines in children aged 5-11 years. Consequently continuous and comprehensive monitoring is necessary for the evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Objective : To analyze cytogenetic results of prenatal genetic amniocentesis. Methods : From January 1997 to December 2000, We analyzed 1,390 cases of midtrimester amniocentesis which were done at Gil medical center of Gachon medical school according to its indications and maternal age. Results : Chromosomal aberrations were found in 88 cases (6.3%). Of all our chromosomal aberrations, 29 cases (2.1%) of normal variants and 59 cases (4.2%) of abnormal karyotypes were found. 37 cases of autosomal numerical abnormal karyotypes and 7 cases of sex chromosomal abnormal karyotypes were diagnosed. In abnormal karyotype group, the incidence was high after 40 years of maternal age and in abnormal ultrasound findings, but no such correlations were found in normal variant group. Conclusion : In analysis of midtrimester amniocentesis, it would be better to analyze separately abnormal karyotype group and normal variant group.

본 연구는 시각-관성 기반의 딥러닝 학습으로 자유분방하게 움직이는 드론의 주행기록을 정확하게 추정하는 것을 목표로 한다. 드론의 비행주행은 드론의 온보드 센서와 조정값을 이용하는 것이 일반적이다. 본 연구에서는 이 온보드 센서 데이터를 학습에 사용하여 비행주행의 위치추정을 실험하였다. 선행연구로써 DeepVO[1]룰 구현하여 KITTI[3] 데이터와 Midair[4] 데이터를 비교, 분석하였다. 3D 좌표면에서의 위치 추정에 선행연구 모델의 한계가 있음을 확인하고 IMU를 Feature로써 사용하였다. 본 모델은 FlowNet[2]을 모방한 CNN 네트워크로부터 Optical Flow Feature에 IMU 데이터를 더해 RNN으로 학습을 진행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 주행기록 예측을 다소 정확히 했다고 할 수 없지만, IMU Feature를 통해 주행기록의 예측이 가능함을 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 시각-관성 분야에서 사람의 지식이나 조정이 들어가는 센서를 융합하는 기존의 방식에서 사람의 제어가 들어가지 않는 End-to-End 방식으로 인공지능을 학습했다. 또한, 시각과 관성 데이터를 통해 주행기록을 추정할 수 있었고 시각적으로 그래프를 그려 정답과 얼마나 차이 있는지 확인해보았다.
흡입마취가 가토 기관기관지 분필물(分泌物)의 단백함량(蛋白含量)에 미치는 영향

In an attempt to observe possible effects of ether, halothane and methoxyflurane anesthesia on the protein contents of tracheobronchial washings in rabbits, the animals were subjected to moderate afiestbesia with ether, halotbane and methoxyflurane by a non- rebreathing system for one hour. A comparison was made of the protein contents of tracheobronchial washings and the ,results are summarized as follows; 1) The average protein contents of tracheobronchial washings of normal rabbits was 85. 8 ±27. 44 μmg/ml. 2) Increased protein contents of tracheobronchial washings were observed after ether, halothane and methoxyflurane anesthesia compared with the normal. It is concluded that inhalation anestbesia stimulates secreting glands of the tracheobronchial lumen.

We have attempted to evaluate the clinical usefulness of hemodilution in intracranial operation. The studies were carried out on 10 patients undergoing operation for intracranial aneurysm. We performed hemodilution with Normodex and Rheomacrodex and removal of arterial blood through a cannulated radial artery and intraoperative autotransfusion with arterial blood. We observed mean arterial pressure, heart rate, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and arterial blood gas analysis after removal of arterial blood with hemodilution and autotransfusion and compared them to controls. There were no significant changes in arterial blood gas analysis. Hemoglobin and hematocrit values were significantly changed from controls after removal of arterial blood with hemodilution. Hemodilution methods served a very useful purpose and were safe procedures in intracranial aneurysm operation.
