The back-and-forth moving lead screw has been evaluated for the commercial vehicle power-seat mechanism in this paper. Driving mechanism of the power-seat for the passenger vehicle consists of the electrical motor, decelerator, lead screw of travel, fixing nut, bearing and fixing collar. Seat performance test has been conducted for the major design parameters, which are pitch and line number of lead screw and nut. Noise and vibration of the seat have been measured and evaluated for various test condition. The fatigue motion test reciprocating power-seat up to 5000 times also carried out to evaluate the durability and reliability. The test results in this paper can be directly applied to the major design parameters of the commercial power-seat.
