희박연소기관용 De-NOx 촉매 개발에 관한 실험적 연구

Recently, reduction of autotive emission gas has become one of the most impotant factors affecting vehicle performance. This study covers the method to screen the conversion efficiency of the newly proposed De-NOx catalysts and carried out to get basic data to develop the De-NOx catalyst<br/> As the first step, the conventional gasoline engine is amended into the lean burn engine by controlling the fuel consumption and it's possible combustion air/fuel ratio range is extended up to 24 : 1. Swirl Port Plate is equipped between intake manifold and intake port to strengthen the intake mixture flow in each cylinder.<br/> To test the catalysts, newly designed Multi-Converter has been built and used for the 1st screening. It's basic designing concept is same mass flow, pressure and temperature in each chamber.<br/> With the newly designed multi-converter, the most extreme experimental conditions of space velocity, air/fuel ratio and temperature of catalyst layer was observed for the conversion efficiency. Among the 9 test talysts. Mg-Cu-ZSM-5. Y-Ba-Cu and LaCeFeCoO3 are evaluated to have higher conversion efficiency than others. They show about 80 ~ 90% of CO. HC conversion efficiency but in case of NOx. they consistently show conversion efficiency below 60% in whole range of air/fuel ratio.<br/>
