Smart Grid technology evolves, bi-directional power transmission system has been used. In this paper, Bi-directional power transmission system for electric vehicles slow charger topology is proposed to apply. The proposed system consist of bi-directional DC-AC inverter and bi-directional DC-DC converter. Bi-directional DC-AC inverter is linked to grid and is controlled DC-link voltage. DC-DC converter. Bi-directional converter as a buck-mode step-down DC-Link voltage and constant current control is charging energy.

The purpose of this proposed paper is the development of 10kW DC output charger for electric vehicle. Compared to the 3.3kW On-Board charger, the proposed charger shows 3 times faster charging speed. Considering that most vehicles used at big markets or public institutions have to maintain 30%~70% battery SOC(State of charge) statuses, those batteries are able to be charged in an hour through using the proposed charger.
