        This experiment shows the better performance of Ferrite process, comparing the manganese concentration before and after processing the waste liquid which contains non-radioactive manganese. We also derive what amount of the manganese concentration in the experimental liquid waste is optimal in the Ferrite process. The radioactive concentration of manganese, iron. and cobalt in inorganic liquid waste is reduced by the Ferrite process, on efficient heavy metal process and then the coordinated element process is simplified. Therefore this technique is applicable to the process of heavy metal in waste liquid at the atomic power plant.

        The industrial developement of our country has chiefly depended on the fuel oil in these days. However the amount of the oil deposits under the ground is limited and the oil price is gradually going up. So our country with poor natural resources is in great need of making a long range plan and a countinuous study of the nuclear ship to develop the marine transportation, for it spends a very small quantity of fuel and the price of the nuclear fuel is low. The nuclear ship which is equipped which a nuclear reactor gets its propulsive force by supplying steam to the main propulsion steam turbine. It is different from the power plant reactor in special characteristics that it may meet with rolling, heaving, yawing, and such disasters at sea as impact, fire, stranding, and sinking. So we must consider such special conditions to ensure reactor safety and to protec tlife and property. There are also such dangers an nuclear fission products. and we have difficulty in nuclear fission and its control. Nowadays it still remains to solve some technological problems. Marine reactor may have mechanical accident and reactivity accident, but in this paper I will examine the safety supervision of nuclear ship in connection with the specific characteristics of the ship, for the nuclear ship must have safety and trustworthiness in multiple protection system of marine reactor. In addition, I will briefly enumerate the international laws which are applied to the contruction of the ship and its operation, in preparation for the forthcoming nuclear ship age of our country which doesn't have nuclear ship yet.

        Stress relief and weight gain effects of needle-free injection for foot-and-mouth disease vaccine in pigs

        This study compared the immune responses, stress relief and weight gains of needle or needle-free intramuscular and needle-free intradermal vaccination in pigs. When the same amount of a foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccine was administered to pigs, antibody titers at 4 weeks after the 1st and 2nd FMD vaccination were not significantly different between the needle (IM-S) and needle-free (NM-P250) intramuscularly vaccinated groups, but the weight gain of NM-P250 was significantly increased compared to that of IM-S at 8 weeks after the 2nd FMD vaccination (p<0.05). In addition, serum cortisol concentrations of NM-P250 were considerably decreased compared to those of IM-S on the 5th and 7th day after the 1st and 2nd FMD vaccination (p<0.05). However, the antibody titers of IM-S vaccinated with 2 mL of FMD vaccine were significantly increased compared to those of the needle-free intradermal vaccinated group with 0.5 mL of FMD vaccine at 4 weeks after the 1st and 2nd FMD vaccination (p<0.05). In conclusion, the needle-free intramuscular injection for the FMD vaccination can be chosen for weight gain and stress relief in pigs.

        폴리피롤에 빛을 쪼일 때 증가되는 전류의 특성

        빛에 대한 폴리피롤(PPy)의 광전기화학적인 거동을 $Fe(CN)_6^{4-}/Fe(CN)_6^{3-}$과 $I^-/I_2$를 산화환원종으로 수용액에서 관찰하였다. PPy은 정전압법으로 Pt와 glassy-C 그리고 ITO에 각각 중합하였으며 PPy막을 입힌 전극에 빛이 쪼여졌을 때 산화환원종의 산화환원 전위에서 전류의 증가를 얻었다. 증가된 전류는 PPy이 갖는 반도체 특성과 빛에 의한 전극표면에서의 산화환원 광열촉진에 기인하며, PPy 중합시 사용한 지지전해질의 음이온(dopants)과 산화환원종, 용액의 pH에 의존하였다. The photoelectrochemical behavior of polypyrrole films on Pt, glassy-C and indium tin oxide(ITO) under illumination was studied in aqueous solution containing a redox couple such as I-/I2 or Fe(CN)64-/Fe(CN)63-. Polypyrrole(PPy) was coated on Pt, glassy-C and ITO electrodes using electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole by potentiostatic method. Illumination of the PPy film results in the increase of cathodic and anodic currents at redox potentials of the redox species. These enhanced currents are caused both by the semiconductor characteristics of PPy and by the photothermal acceleration of redox reaction at PPy-electrode surface, and are dependent on the pH of redox solutions and the dopants in PPy.

      • 효율적인 뉴스 검색을 위한 뉴스 비디오 인덱싱에 관한 연구

        일반적으로 뉴스 정보는 주제별로 되어 있기 때문에, 뉴스를 검색하기 위해서는 뉴스 비디오 전체에 대해서 주제별로 검색하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 뉴스 비디오들을 체계적으로 관리하고 뉴스 브라우징, 검색 등의 뉴스 비디오 응용 분야에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있도록 뉴스 비디오들에 대해 비디오 분할, 클러스터링, MARC 구성 등을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 MARC는 한국문헌자동화목록(KORMARC) 비도서자료용(KS C 5969)을 사용하였다. 비디오 분할과 클러스터링 한 뉴스 비디오들에 대해 MARC를 구성함으로써, 뉴스 비디오들을 체계적으로 관리할 수 있고 또한 사용자들에게는 원하는 정보가 포함된 부분만을 빠르게 검색할 수 있도록 한다.
