계획된 일정에 따라 수백 개의 블록들이 합쳐져 한 척의 선박이 건조된다. 각각의 블록들은 강판으로부터 시작하여 여러 공정을 거쳐 수십에서 수백 톤에 달하는 블록으로 완성된다. 그러므로 한 척의 선박을 건조하기 위해서는 인도 일에 맞춰 계획된 일정에 따라 모든 작업들이 정확하게 이루어져야 한다. 이러한 생산 공정들 사이에 중요한 블록의 운반을 담당하는 것이 바로 트랜스포터이다. 따라서 공정간의 효율적인 블록 운반을 위해서는 트랜스포터의 운영 관리가 무엇보다도 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최적화 기법을 이용하여 트랜스포터의 최적 운영 계획을 도출하기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법의 효용성을 검토하기 위해, 이를 실제 조선에서 트랜스포터를 이용한 블록 운반 문제에 적용하였으며, 그 결과 제안된 방법이 유용함을 확인하였다.

A male mixed breed dog with unknown age (case 1) and 5-year-old female golden retriever (case 2) were admitted to the Department of Veterinary Pathology at College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University after sudden death. At necropsy, stifle region of case 1 was replaced by coalescing firm tan nodules approximately 1-3 cm in diameter. Neoplastic nodules were also presented in the lung. In case 2, the spleen was enlarged 3-5 times its normal size and numerous firm tan nodules were noted in the kidney, pericardium, diaphragm and lymph nodes. Histopathologically, the neoplastic masses of case 1 consisted of plump spindle cells having abundant cytoplasm and indistinct cell borders that formed interlacing bundle. In case 2, the masses were consisted of round to polygonal cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and eccentric nuclei. Numerous multinucleated giant cells containing nuclei of various sizes were noted. Immunohistochemically, neoplastic cells of all two cases stained intensely with vimentin and lysozyme. Based on the gross and light microscopic findings together with immunohistochemistry, both cases were diagnosed as localized histiocytic sarcoma with pulmonary metastasis and disseminated histiocytic sarcoma, respectively.

The motor-operated valves are used extensively within nuclear power plants in safety-related and balance-of-plant systems and located in almost all plant fluid systems. Their failures have resulted in significant plant maintenance efforts. More important, the operational readiness of nuclear plant safety-related systems has often been affected by MOV degradation and failure. The performance of motor-operated valves should be evaluated to ensure the nuclear safety. It will be accomplished by understanding the state of the art of the diagnostic method and developing the appropriate new methodology to evaluate the measuring parameters to predict the valve performance Measured and evaluated were the changes of the motor current signature taken by simulating the abnormal conditions on the gate MOVs used extensively in the nuclear power plants. Based on the evaluation results, the conclusion can be as follows: 1.The DC signature of motor power shows more sensitive than the current. Both of them have similar behavior during the simulation. 2.The changes of the valve stroke and magnitude with appropriate management of the signature occured during the stroke can be used as an index showing the valve failure and degradation. 3.The diagnosis of valve by simultaneous use of the valve current and power is more useful than the method using the motor current only.
